    Clear and concise, thanks Terry!
    A quick tech question, why is VLAN 1 important? is this a pre-burned by factory VLAN that these switches will know it will always be used for PNP and for that reason it is all automatically?

      By default all interfaces support vlan 1 out of the box. If you have a 48 port cisco switch all ports are operationally going to be switchport mode access and run vlan 1. So it just makes sense that it would be the default pnp vlan. Obviously you can change it using the pnp startup-vlan # command. But all ports on a cisco catalyst 9K switch will default to access vlan 1.
