The Black Hills are really pertty. Thank you for taking me on this vacation with you. I love the mountains too. That is why I moved to Colorado so I could vist all the beautiful sights and hiking and sking at Aspen, Colorado! I hope the best for Olivia, Rylie, and Ellie are doing fine. You guys have been threw a lot. Take care. Hope you guys do more videos. I hope you go do your A Fram on your property during the winter snow for 2023! Thank you, for showing all of us your hiking boots, bike, and shaver. My bother, Keith, live in Etna, California near Trinty Center in California. He journals all the time too. He loves taking his horses, and kids, now adults, go with him to his camp somewhere in Etna California. I am so impressed that you are really am thoughtful to Rylie and Olivia because you can not take life for granted because Jesus wants us to love each other. Thanks for the video. Hope you guys are doing fine as well as Ellie. Keep the videos going. I love your out door adventures!❤
This is what I always wanted so much, to just escape to nature which I love so much. It’s really helpful to see how I could do it myself with a dog. I really respect what you are doing and how you are helping people find a way to enjoy nature, great hiking, gorgeous scenery, the sounds of wind and weather. Absolutely wonderful! Thank you so much. I love your videos. Praise God.
Time goes fast Jack. It does. My kid was O's age last Tuesday and now she's half to adulthood. I'm glad you appreciate it. I thought I appreciated it but as I get older, I realize how much those moments meant to me and how they're gone. That's why I try to create those new moments and appreciate it as much as you can. Fantastic longer video. I loved it
So glad you guys are reunited. I hope you gave the girls a big hug when you got home. Looking forward to your next adventure. Sometimes even the ones in your own backyard are fun. 😊
My husband and I spent 9 weeks going to Alaska and back to our Arizona home. You are so right that one learns so much on the road (in many ways), but there is no place like home🙂
Hey Jack , Thanks for taking me along on your exciting and beautiful vacation .. Hope everyone is well at home . I bet Ellie was glad to see ya !! Look forward to more videos
Good evening Jack, Riley, Olivia & double ear rubs Ellie ! Thank you for taking us along your Blessed Adventure ! You have a Beautiful Family & I’m eager to hear you’re home safe with your Loved Ones ! Safe travels & keep smiling !
This video left me in tears, it was just lovely, as usual. I especially loved the recap at the end, seeing some highlights and the beautiful faces of your 2 girls. Thank you for providing me with scenes of beauty, love and hope. Needed to see something good tonight, and this was it. Gratefully - Caryl in N.J.
Do you have an email I want to communicate with you a conversation I am from Egypt and I want help I am communicating with him but he did not notice me that I want to talk
Hey Jack, thank you for this heartfelt and reflective video as you experience the last days of your epic adventure; I think a couple of days in the forest will have helped you to shake off the last of the sickness you had .I really appreciated the peeks into your travel log, so good to look back at the times that have led you to the moment you were in. You will have been relieved to know Rylie and Olivia were back safe with Ellie. I think it was a very special meditation you shared with us when you said about how what you thought what you'd wanted for your life has turned out not to be the case; and it is lovely to know that what you do want is waiting for you back at home, in the shape of your beautiful wife, daughter, faithful travel buddy Ellie and all. Every blessing for your family Jack :-)
Such a great video! Love watching you handle the elements and wish I had that drive. You are a pure soul with such a beautiful family and keep the greats coming! Much love and safe travels!
Hi there, I'm new to your channel. I just watched your video where you had just made your field portable cabin. What an excellent idea! As a newbie, I'm just prodding along finding my way as I go. I have noticed and appreciate and I know it's personal... That you say grace before your meals and your kind to your dog. These are outstandingly wonderful characteristics in a human being! God bless you wherever you go,
I loved Black Hills, beutiful images of pure nature. It's so nice to review some pics and videos form the past. Great moments feed our souls! Thank you for the video.
I've lived in the same town which is the smallest city in the USA Vergennes Vermont for 51 years . Born , raised made a great life as a master electrician. Love my community ❤️
00:42 20 seconds of a beautifully captured scene. it reminded me of my childhood during long stays on the mountain in my grandfather's village in his hut. Priceless.
Went there as a kid, that's when all they had were dirt roads and gravel. Now when I grew up and took my own family everything is paved but the scenery is awesome!!!!
Glad yall had a good time Jack. I hope Riley and little Olivia are feeling better , im sure yall seen a lot of beautiful stuff. I can't wait to seen when you get back to Elllie , I know she will be glad to see you all. Safe travels.
Enjoyed your video of the Black Hills! Glad you enjoyed your visit to our precious Hills! Trying to place where you were camped. Lived here off and on for my seventy some years….the sound of the thunder and rain on the roof is so familiar and comforting. Sorry about the hail. Hail here is notorious. Our vehicle had a tough August this year with tennis ball sized stones. When the weatherman says hail in the Hills, believe it. But then the storm passes and the blue sky and sunshine returns.
I can't tell you how much I enjoyed your road trip, thank you so much for sharing it all with us. I'm looking forward to seeing Ellie again, she must have really missed you!
I just found your channel. I must say that I enjoyed your video immensely. You are concise and informative in your information. You seem like a very gentle and grateful soul. Have a blessed day and stay safe.
Have the same exact trailer and been trying to figure out what to do with it, now I know and all thanks to your video. I want to travel, camp and see the country before I can't. Have a safe trip
Your cabin is so cute! I think its just amazing that you built it. I wish my husband could cook like you do. The hail, the thunder, the rain, blue skies, you got it all. I might buy my son that razor for his face. He has a beard too. Drive careful, God bless your family and your tiny cabin adventures!
By far, to me, that was the perfect spot to camp! The hills, the creek, the solitude ,,, Really enjoying the video compilation, your family values, your faith in God ,,, thank you!
Thank you Jack for another lovely and tranquil video. Dakota is such a beautiful place. The food you cook looks so nice and they are very simple to cook. Thank you also for playing the guitar as I do love listening to you play. Love to Riley and Olivia ❤. Thank you for another great video. ❤😊
I agree with the difficulty of nomadic travel. It used to not be so difficult, or at least in the ways of planning. These days it's very regulated so the things that are difficult are the options, which are fewer, but so much of the technology that's given us the ability to find said options are amazing. I recommend getting a job that is seasonal, maybe teaching, if you aren't already. Get the summers to travel and satisfy that nomad itch. Love your cabin and approach to life. Would give you a firm handshake and hug for sharing these videos for those who need to escape with an evening of vicarious living :) . God bless.
Johnny ❤
Great road trip Jack .Thanks for sharing your adventures .The cabin is a super way to travel .Some good ideas on spicing things up on the food front .I look forward to seeing the A frame cabin .Cheers and stay safe guys .
Absolutely! It was such a great trip. We’re so glad to be back home. I’ve spent a few hours here and there during the day at the A Frame but haven’t done a full trip there yet. Can’t wait to!
What a great video, my friend, you are doing what many wish they could cause a very simple way of doing things. I’m feeling very inspired to follow in your footsteps even if it’s just to do small little trips.
Definitely a summer to remember! South Dakota is a beautiful state! You make the best dinners! I am going to try what you made with the noodles and fried egg on top. Wonderful recap with your family at the end. Very enjoyable video. I look forward to the next one!
Oh my gosh! This was a very touching video! I love your adventure, journal. You have inspired me to begin my own. I’m gonna be taking the tiny cabin out this weekend, and I think I will start my own adventure journal!
These videos are so inspiring. The way you film it and document your trip makes it feel like I am there! What kind of coffee do you drink? I know, random. :)
My mms family were born and raised in the black hills country. It’s so gorgeous out there. No better place to be in autumn than there. Such dramatic scenery
Jack, I wish I was close enough to offer you a bowl of my homemade turkey soup on a brisk fall day! My wife and and I just enjoyed a fantastic Canadian Thanksgiving with appropriate fall weather. Always enjoy your videos and look forward to seeing you guys when you’re back home!

I just discovered u on you tube and been watching your live recordings it's gold mate love the tiny cabins . Just be careful out there with wild animals be safe look forward to more live videos . Have a great safe new year 2024 🎉😊
Back home from our camping trip from Vermont. My husband and I ended up getting sick. Bad colds 🤧🤧. Out of nowhere it just hit us. So we know how you feel. Hope your better now. The soup looked great 🍜. I have to ask what does it say on the side of your guitar? You play it so well. Can't wait to see Ellie 🐕 and your next adventure! Stay safe. Happy trails 🤗🏕💕
Ah so sorry to hear you got sick too! Such a bummer. So the sticker on the side of the guitar says “The Pursuit Is Happiness” That actually used to be the name of my RUclips channel before I started focusing my adventures more around the cabins 😊
i agree with you about the Black Hills. It's like you walk through a portal. Ive been to the Rockies 5 times, and other mountain ranges, and the pines in the Black Hills smell stronger, crisper, and they fill your lungs. The air is crisper and cleaner, and the hills just have a wholesomeness within them that you can feel all the way down to your bones. It's as if, when you walk into the land of the Black Hills, you "become one" with the hills. They embrace you, encompass you, and you sense their voices. You hear them, feel them, smell them, everything. Not so with the mountains. Mountains are too majestic and separate. They are far too grandiose to become one with them. Everything in the mountains feels sharply separate from human thought. When you enter the mountains, their imposing heights tell you that you do not belong with them, that no man belongs on their precipices. Mountains seem to rise against us... something we must climb and sweat and endure. Not so with the Black Hills. They are a welcoming mass of undulating stones, slow streams, and strong smelling pines. I cant say adequately how I feel about them.
Do you know that guy Timmy with his truck cabin in Alaska? You could be his twin. Even playing your little guitars. Geez. Thanks for the blessing over the food. It excites the molecules and gives you a higher vibe consumption.
I got to go camping at Eagle Rock, MO 2022 with my grandson and son-in-law plus about 1600 other boys and men. That was great adventure. This 68 year old man almost walked his legs off trying to keep up with a 10 year old boy. It was a chore in 100° heat in July.
Great video! Miss the family, but you did great with the good meals and just enjoying the wilderness. Safe trip back to Minnesota, Riley, Olivia, and Ellie.😘
Wonderful video, as always. The last time I was in the Black Hills, SD, I was touring with the rock group Foreigner in 1993 & 1994, 30 years ago. I was hired as their Fitness Trainer, but also took on the duties of Assistant Tour Manager. Mount Rushmore was breathtaking. Love your videos. Blessings to your beautiful family and Ellie. BTW, your beard looks great!
Hi! That area of county is unique. When people I've heard speak of it, its reverent somehow. Wonderful 2 have shared the trip w/U + family. Can't wait 2 C Ellie :) Ciao.
Great videos Jack I got back home to Mn last Saturday from a weeks atv riding vacation in the Lead Deadwood area it was awesome hope you made it home to the family safe have a great day.

I wish I could post a picture on here because I was literally making Ramen noodles and a fried egg for my breakfast while watching this video. I thought it was hilarious when you started cooking them as I was cooking them at the same time lol now I’m about to enjoy my breakfast. That was a great trip you guys were on.

Wow. Gorgeous and so truly relaxing. The stream, I could spend all day there
Same here. So beautiful 🙏🏽
A nice quiet life that’s for sure thanks dude
i agree with you about the Black Hills.
Yes 100% so we’ll said!
Do you know that guy Timmy with his truck cabin in Alaska? You could be his twin. Even playing your little guitars. Geez.
Thanks for the blessing over the food. It excites the molecules and gives you a higher vibe consumption.
I don’t know him personally but he seems like a good dude!!
Great memories. It’s a wonderful life.
Amen 👍🏽
I got to go camping at Eagle Rock, MO 2022 with my grandson and son-in-law plus about 1600 other boys and men. That was great adventure. This 68 year old man almost walked his legs off trying to keep up with a 10 year old boy. It was a chore in 100° heat in July.
Wow right on! That’s pretty good on you! 👍🏽👍🏽
Great video! Miss the family, but you did great with the good meals and just enjoying the wilderness. Safe trip back to Minnesota, Riley, Olivia, and Ellie.😘
Thank you! We’re all back in MN 😁
Amazing video again!! Looking forward to your next family adventures, greetings and blessings to your family from The Netherlands 🙋🏼♀️🙏🏻
Thanks so much! I have some fun adventures coming up with Ellie and then another one with the whole fam 😊
Ha thanks so much!! And that’s so cool that you have memories there too! It’s a great place to make them, that’s for sure
Love your show. Thanks for the hard work you put into these productions. Catch y'all on the next adventure.
God Bless. NW ga.
Thanks so much! That really means a lot 🙏🏽

Always look forward to your videos. Great cooking tips as well. Is there a place the 3 of you would like to camp at that you have not done so far?
Totally! I would love to take the family up to Alaska. I’ve spent a fair amount of time there, but it’s been a while 👍🏽👍🏽
I wish I could post a picture on here because I was literally making Ramen noodles and a fried egg for my breakfast while watching this video. I thought it was hilarious when you started cooking them as I was cooking them at the same time lol now I’m about to enjoy my breakfast. That was a great trip you guys were on.
