You are both such a joy to watch. Grandad Joe is such a trooper for trying new exotic fruits and has such a quick wit. 😂
Grandad is very brave. I'm impressed. ❤
I don't like fruit - good for you for trying that 😅
Yaaaaay!!! You gave him the yellow dragonfruit!!! I knew he'd love it!!!
First one is a yellow dragon fruit, which is better than the red kind you had last time because they are sweeter. Second one is a longan similar to a lychee. Third one looks like a passion fruit that maybe wasn’t ripe yet & the last one is a soursop, which definitely was not ripe yet as it was too dark green. All fruits have great health benefits. Bravo Grandad Joe for being so brave to try them! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Correct, and that soursop definitely was not ripe. 😢
Thank you! I was searching the comments to see what they were lol. Was he supposed to eat the slimy seeds of the third one?
@MamaK3255 yes, but it may not have been ripe enough, either
That looked like a different kind of Passionfruit. Probably one of the giant ones? Can't speak to the taste of those. The one I grow is delicious, and tastes a lot like a sweet mandarin orange. The seeds are edible as well, but they can be made into a juice drink where the seeds are not included.
Good day Mate, I'm a bloke who's joyous watching and enjoying you both. Hope you're ok with me unofficially adopting you! I was in the foster system with no family. You are everything I've ever imagined a family would be if I had one. I blessed to have found you. Health and Love. Charlie ❤
😱 That third one, the orange colored one looked horrible!!!
His face cracks me up love it😂
Hi from Melbourne, Australia 🇦🇺.
1st - Yellow Dragonfruit
2nd - Logan. Looks very similar to a lychee, but a lychees
flesh looks more like cream.
3rd - Granadilla
4th - Soursop. Yours looks dark green, which means it
isn't ripe yet.
Isn’t soursop best eaten after being pureed (because of the texture)?
You saved me. I was going to screenshot each one and search. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
@robinfarrar3493
The last one I had to screenshot. But there are a number that look similar on the inside. Took a little while to work out what it was by the texture of the skin. I've never bought one, but I know with some tropical fruits, that they taste better cooked.
Isn't the seed toxic?
❤😂What a wonderful young Grandad, young at heart and full of fun❤😊
He’s so fun to watch ❤
That was a devilish laugh from Babs, on that third fruit. 😅
Downright wicked sounding, it was! ❤😆😆
Thank you both for being such wonderful sports to try many new foods. I really enjoy watching your videos, always puts a smile on me. 😄
lol … the look on his face is hilarious .. I’m 100% convinced he would not enjoy the lovely taste of a durian fruit …😆. Bless ya Joe …you’re everyone’s grandpa .. 🫶🏻
But doesn't Durian Smell bad. This obviously doesn't smell bad. Plus the skin texture doesn't look right to be a Durian. I put this into Google Lens, & it said it was a Soursop. But it's not supposed to be eaten dark green, which means it's not ripe.
@@heatherlewis3713Yes that is a soursop. Ripe, they are quite nice. Sweet, and sort of a pineapple, guava taste.
@heatherlewis3713 Chris wasn't saying that the soursop was a durian. He was saying that Joe would not like a durian if it was presented to him.
@@AngelusBrady
Chris only mentions a Durian, nothing else. I replied to him, not the other way around. From what I know of a Durian, they smell really bad, sort of like really stinky socks or something rotten. But from what I've seen on food shows, the fruit inside is quite nice. Some hotels where Durian come from, are band from even being bought inside.
@@heatherlewis3713 You can't even take a Durian on the Metro undergrouns system in Singapore The smell is very much like badly blocked drains - but IF you can get past the smell they are the flavour of almost every exotic fruit you can imagine.
South Africa passion and custard apple has to wait until it is ripe.
Finally a glimps from babs
You actually want me to eat that? Grandad is a trooper! ❤ from California
His face is a Picture of JOY 😂
Awww he's sosososo cute. I hope he loves for another 30 yearsb
Grandad Joe is just the best. What a breath of fresh air.
Hes so brave 😂❤
Grandads face says it all! The first fruit is a yellow dragon fruit, the second a longan, the third a passion fruit I think, and the last one a soursop.
Thank you, I had no clue!
Thanks, I thought passion fruit but the colour made me think I was wrong, but I don’t really have a clue so was hoping someone in the comments would kindly tell me and you did 😁
That passionfruit was not ripe. We have them growing here in South Africa. Ours has an orange colour inside. We also have a purple granadilla, which is a bit more sour
@ thank you 😁
there’s different passionfruits of different colors, some are sweet, some are super sour. it just depends on the passionfruit varietal but that orange one is actually a granadilla
Hey good afternoon to you grandad Joe hope yall have a bless 🙏 day today love ❤️ yall
Gee wiz...don't kill him!!! Ha ha you two are a hoot.
Hahaha 🤣🤣🤣 what an absolute diamond 💎 of a man . He's the perfect grandad I never had . Bless his heart 🙏🏻❤️
Frogspawn!! 😅😅😅
That was passionfruit. Im not a fan. But they make juice and ice cream topping from it in the Caribbean
Oh Bab you are so good to him! ❤️❤️ Grandad Joe should try sweet ripe plantains-fried in lard!!
Gourmet grandad . He is such fun .❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤❤
" I think I'm going now" 😂😆😂 Those fruits looked gross. The frog spawn never would've made it near my mouth.
Surstromming fish in a tin next please 😂😂😂😂
I love your videos but I’m concerned about food allergies 😢 I don’t know what his health is like but he looks very healthy and happy Take care of everyone’s grand dad ❤
Here's a suggestion for your granddad. Try American rhubarb pie. It's been a part of American cuisine since colonial times & I promise you, it's taste is unlike anything else on earth. Very tart but delicious (at least to me)
Rhubarb and strawberry pie is delicious.
So is rhubarb with Bird's Eye Custard.
Yes one of my favorites!!!
Hi Grandad Joe ,Those exotic fruits looked awful, Give me an apple, a banana, a pear ,and a tangerine any day of the week 😀😀 🍏🍌🍐🍊
Grandad Joe God Bless you ❤, City, Aruja, state, São Paulo, Brasil
The look on his face!! 😅😅
"These are not busting Bab" Grandad Joe 🥴
When you said frog spawn I nearly 🤢💀😂. I gagged out loud. Omg why was the bite so big? 😩😂 He is a very adventurous taste tester! 🏆
You both make my day. Love from your friend in the USA 🇺🇸 ❤️
A brave man indeed 😂😮
Thank you. I can't believe that you didn't identify the fruits before you ate them!!
Because Wendy didn't know what they were either.
omg ,he makes me laugh..I`m 70 grampa and enjoy your videos !
I LOVE watching your videos. Huge thank you from Texas.
almost all fruit taste delicious in the heat of summertime.
70.000 species of fruit exist on earth. Wow!
The weird explorer told me that.
1:58 He's such an entertainer, incredible 😊
So much fun to watch you two! 🥰
Going to the toilet, as Bab states, is so very important GrandDaddy Joe 😝🤪
But I agree with you GrandDaddy - eeewwww to any gross textured fruit
🤢
I couldn't help but laugh when you accidentally squirted him when you cut the little one😂 I have never seen any of those fruits!!
We saw Babs!!! ❤ Cute as always 🎉🎉🎉
I know!! I was like Babs is cute!!
Happy to see Grandad Joe enjoy the yellow dragonfruit a lot more than he did the pink one. The second fruit is longan, which tastes similar to lychee.
"That's horrible!!" Babs, I don't think that you're grandad Joe's favorite at the moment. I thought the frog spawn was disgusting, but to be fair, you tried it too. Now, I have to look up what they all are.
Oh grandad you make me laugh
Granddad Joe is such a good sport. I wish he could try Maypops. They grow up in the summer then die. When they turn yellow they are wonderful. Then maybe just a summer southern country boy thing .
Very Fun😂! Thank you.
My youngest asked me to get her some dragon fruit (that yellow spiked one) because they talked about it at school. We both loved it. They also come in a pink-ish color. The flavor isn't much different from the yellow. Good choice Grandad 🥰
Grandad Joe is a guinea pig today 🤣 Babs should try them all too.
🇺🇲❤🇬🇧
P.S. That fruit with the green slimy edible seeds and orange skin is called granadilla. It's in the passion fruit family.
So much love there!
Hello Grandad from New Jersey, USA. You should try Polish foods next!!!
Hello grand père vous êtes plus courageux que moi j'aurais pas osé goûter 😱👍🤣😂💪🍺
I love you both so much!!❤❤
Grandpa you are more brave than me!!
Love it! You need to get him a durian fruit next!
I'm in love with both of you 🥰🥰
The fruits are: yellow dragon fruit, longan (aka dragon's eye), passion fruit, soursop.
Good to know 👍
I think the green one was like a custard fruit or sour sap it wasn’t ripe enough it should be soft and sweet inside. The orange one looks like a passion fruit but there is a dark wrinkled one too. It is mostly seeds I’m not a big fan of it but the juice is nice. The little one I get from the Chinese shop it’s a Longan a bit like a lychee. I noticed Babs made Dad try it first 😂 he’s very brave ❤
😂😂❤❤
Grandad Joe cracks me up lol x
I love in north Queensland Australia and we have all these things whenever we want them. It's probably the healthiest thing he's ever done.
That was a funny one.
😋😋👏🏽
I'm glad he at least likes the yellow dragonfruit after not liking the pink ones.
"Do you actually want me to eat that?!?"
That pear looking thing looks GORG and no I don't know what it is either
1. Dragonfruit. 2. Lychee 3. Passionfruit. 4. Jackfruit? I don't care for Passionfruit either. Don't like feeling like my lips have puckered over the top of my head 😅😂. My favorite is the yellow Dragonfruit 💛 🎶. Have a wonderful day 😊 💛 ❤
I think #4 is cherimoya. We had a tree back in Madeira.
2. was the related dragon eye. Lychees are pink/red and have textured skin.
you both brighten my day grandpa is such a teddybear I did this had a massive allergic reaction to starfruit another great video
Ah brilliant catching Grandad Joe just before bedtime as 11pm UK & seeing Joe puts a smile on my face! Wonderful man bless you & yours Sir 🍀💚👍
❤
I feel a new program in the making..I'm a grandpa get me out of here ...😂
Love it!!! ❤
Very interesting, I’m going to buy some odd fruit next time I shop . Good to try new things 🍒
I only know the second one.... Lychee xx
Babs , you are so bad !!!
😂
If I were grandad , I would have ran away from home before I tasted that 3rd one ! 🤮
Be careful in getting fruits from online.
❤😇🙏✝️
Yellow dragonfruit, lychee, orange gramdilla, and the last one is cherimoya, but it was spoilt in the middle. The sour he was tasting was likely fermented. They usually have a texture similar to, but softer than a fresh pineapple and taste similarly to a pear. Popular in Oriental and Latin America. Only one I haven't had recently is grandilla, but it can be a bit astringent if not fully ripe.
Hey!!!!
That is hilarious! I don’t think I could even attempt that slimy one, yikes!!
You are much more brave than I am. I don't think I would have tried any of them! 😂 Loved the looks while you were trying them! God bless you both!
The last one was a custard apple. If it was stringy it was overripe.
Thanks for being a Guinea Pig ❤
Awe granddad joe cracks me u o puts a smile on my face when im down
😂👍
I think the 2nd one was a lychee, they're beautiful ❤ good on you grandad for trying 😊 oh wow we've seen a bit of Wendy for the first time 😅
The second was a dragon eye, a related fruit. Less fragrant but sweeter with brown smooth skin instead of red and bumpy. The flesh and seeds are nearly identical.
@@AngelusBrady oh thank you.
@ You're welcome.
The difference between a person with knife skills and me is I always use a cutting board. I am impressed with your skills!
First one was yellow dragon fruit, the second one looks like an eyeball and its called "dragon eyes", third is a bad quality passionfruit if it tastes bad. The passionfruits I've had have all been very sour. The last was a cherimoya, probably a not good quality one because I've had one before and it was sweet. At least Granddad Joe wasn't given a durian, that would have traumatized him forever due to the smell alone.
Cherimoyas are usually nice, and sweet. I think what grandad Joe ate was a soursop.
@@paper_gem Entirely possible. They're closely related so it's probably hard to tell the difference visually.
So I think in order of eating would be
Dragon fruit
Ciruela?
Passion fruit
Soursop--- extremely healthy fruit!
Second was a dragon eye.
The first one is a dragon fruit, you already tried one of those, a pink one. 😊
I love watching these clips but for 91, Joe ain't tried much.
The little ones were Lychee. You can buy them tinned in syrup probably in Asda or m&s. Certainly in an Asian market.
The yellow one is a different variety of dragon fruit.
I think that goopy one was passionfruit.
The lumpy green one might have been cocoa... not sure though.
I have no idea what they are either 🤣 guessing the first one may have been another dragon fruit and the little one a lychee. Thought the big green one might have been am avacardo simce thats probably about the actually size they are meant to be..😊
Not sure about the passion fruit though. Maybe adding a drop or two of honey would make it less sour.
😂😂
The longan is originally from China and the name means dragon eye. When you expose the seed in the fruit it looks like an eye. It’s related to lychees and rambutan which looks like a hairy lychee. All these fruits are in season in Australia now.
The green one is a soursop
I think you're right. I thought it was cherimoya.
@bettymilcarek5195 hiiii 👋 okay 👍
@@bettymilcarek5195 They're both very closely related fruit.
