    I hope people don't just watch dpreviews video and write the Fuji off, this looks fantastic. My only complaint, 150-600 f/8 is too slow and too expensive. Same price as Sony's fantastic 200-600 f/6.3, just does not add up. Already ISO's can go sky high with f/6.3, f/8 is for good light only especially on a crop sensor. Fuji make us 400 f/4 or 600 f/5.6 at least.

    • @liewwk
      @liewwk  2 года назад +2

      I too agree . F8 is little small . But if they look at the focal 900mm f8(1.8 kg) and 600mmf6.3 (2.4kg) it make quite big different . And as I mentioned in blog . Anything too dark 1/125 S and max aperture with max iso accept level . Please use tripod for me . Iso3200 still very acceptable (jpeg and ore production camera) click on the blog have a look at the pictures with full size

      @@liewwk But one could crop 1.5x (or use APS-C) with the Sony 200-600 to get 900mm equivalent, while still shooting at a larger aperture than the Fuji.

      @@Bayonet1809 yes. is another option too but u lost megapixel 33megapixel for a74 will leave ? if a1 . mean u have different class of camera for comparative. and the weight is 20% more ? the weight is for larger aperture reason. so for the spec wise we know . heavy bigger aperture ... but less megapixel for that option. and always can handon the AF eye detection

    It is very good news the AF of the new gen. Fuji X camera improved a lot comparing to T3/T4.
    The tracking of the flying bird was even more superb!
    At the same time, by the videos taken at ISO 1600 and ISO 2500 the noise level is quite high, would say, not nice. Not sure how they look like after post NR.
    When you show a still slideshow zooming in - many times lost of detail is visible by excessive post noise reduction (viewed on a 4K monitor at 4K resolution), clearly showing the low light limitation of the APSC platform.
    Overall, nice improvement from Fujifilm, it was high time, but, considering the price of the combo (2500 + 2000 USD), one can get a more usable FF set for less. :)
    Thanks for sharing!

      @@liewwk Thanks for your reply! Actually, I am an official beta tester of the TDAI, so I know how the software behaves when the input image is very noisy. Referring to the #9 and 10, especially (assume, severe NR model used, you may confirm, as with Low light model I still can get excellent results with any camera RAW files). I see you used the SOOC JPGs for NR, that does not help either, knowing Fujifilm's strong in camera NR. Would like to see how the RAWs are processed... Believe, Iridient X-transformer will release an update soon, so RAFs could be converted to DNG then tested by proper postprocessing.
