Completing each route in DDLC is more than just an achievement; it's sort of a discussion with the designer that reminds you someone poured their heart into creating it. Really, my only complaint about DDLC Plus, is that I feel the whole Metaverse lore was a bad call. Not only does it overcomplicate the lore of the game more than it needs to, bur I genuinely believe that it moves the focus of the game away from what I feel is the main draw of DDLC: The four characters (five if you include MC) and their personalities, as well as the whole "slice-of-life" aspect of the original game's main (non-Monika glitched) plot. And as such, removes the charm the original game had in my opinion. The only reason why I feel Metaverse exists, apart from explaining the faux desktop interface, is to tie it in to the upcoming Project: Libitina game, if it ever comes out that is.

I can see that but to be honest I quite enjoyed the addition because I like reading up on lore and stuff. Though yeah the original has so much charm.
