I dont even follow baseball but this is fascinating
Bojan Babic it’s a classic. I’ve done this before. The players get so pissed lol
Same
This wouldn’t happen if the overpaid players weren’t so goddamn lazy.
Bojan Babic I just figured I’d let you know a rule of baseball that should prevent hidden ball tricks. If the pitcher doesn’t have the ball, he can’t step onto the mound, if batters would just look to the pitcher, they could know when they are safe to step off the bag.
It's funny
Cause I'm starting
To follow baseball
1:50 That right there is someone who's fallen for it at least once.
1:50 my fav one,
red sox dude just looking at astro like, 'u crazy'
Golden rule of baseball. NEVER take your foot off the base.
Potato Potato, yep then steal bases ;)
RejectedSpiritX or hand!
Yeah! Even if your running the bases, stealing, or playing defense! God...
RejectedSpiritX how do you run to the next base then
sooo like I took your advice I got yelled at because I kept my foot on the base when the ball got hit though the gap in outfield
Baseball would be more fun to watch if plays like this happened more often
This really isn't what the sport is about. It's about hit the ball hard, run the bases. Throw the ball hard, run fast to catch the ball, decide where to throw the ball. Not trying to trick someone. It's not a game where trickery should be encouraged.
DiskoSpider the traditionalist idea of baseball is what’s killing it
@@SeriouslyYavi Well we don't want the game to turn into a circus. I understand people's attention spans are getting shorter and shorter but that's no reason to start clowning up the game.
@@DiskoSpider true but you gotta admit these moments are exciting
@@DiskoSpider plays like this are fire tho like running for 3th and the ball and player going same speed
What happened on the last one: the runner (Stassi) thought he was already out, he thought Andrus (the shortstop who was supposed to have caught that throw) actually caught in and tagged him, so he started to head for the dugout. He wasn't aware that the throw had gone off Andrus's glove and into Kinsler's glove, until he tagged him
Really??? Wow!!!
Is no one going to talk about that high-five fail at 00:12?
great eye
Lol
I saw that too
Really wasn't worth talking about.
He went to go get beer so they could cheers it
4:09 - One of the best defensive plays ever. Amazing.
Can u explain pls? I dont know much about baseball.
@@amitpandey9156 the baserunner trying to steal 2nd base, but he didnt know where the ball went, so the infielders trying to faking like they had the ball but actually the ball is still flying and after the outfielder catch the ball which is the stealer need to go back to 1st base but because he dont know where the ball is, he keep stay on the 2nd base and he is called out because the ball is thrown to the 1st baseman. sorry if my explaining and my english is not good
@@djr9999 Thanks....understood it perfectly. Waited for a long time for someone to explain. And your english is very good.
@@amitpandey9156 Glad to help!
very cute yall
5:50 oh no.. i'm so off balance i can barely hold on to this ball that i definitely have right here in my glove
I’m a simple man. I see Frazier being embarrassed, I click
Marconius17 Todd Frazier is at the top of my punch list
Back Handspring Brook Lol Why?
BestInTheWorld92 Good lord, could you make it more obvious you don’t watch baseball?
lol the guy jebaited him
I'm a simple man. I don't watch Baseball nor do I know who Frazier is but I accidently click on a RUclips TikTik about this hidden ball trick, I am intrigued but then I click off it by reflex because it was an accident in the first place, and I search up "the hidden ball trick" only to find a compilation & thank goodness the clip I watched on the RUclips TikTik is the first clip of the compilation.
5:08 wasn't the hidden ball trick that was just the runner being straight up sloppy and the baseman wasn't even planning anything but saw an opportunity
Runner thought he got tagged out by the first guy and started heading out. Didn’t realize the ball went thru the baseman’s glove and he was safe
I remember watching the Yankees blue jays one, I saw Goins’ fake immediately and I was yelling at the TV “Frazier no no don’t step off!”
I was at that game. I looked away after the out and missed it. Then all of a sudden everyone was off the field.
Should have screamed louder. You'll get 'em, next time.
YRGK09 lol!
YRGK09 same
YRGK09 I’m glad the Yankees player got out #reds4life
i love the hidden ball trick. exemplifies the best of baseball. we can't see it from the stands but we can see it from a replay tv close up. I love this game
0:12 I felt the pain 😂
5:10 ump bouta throw out his arm
facts lol
5:02 that was a roller coaster of emotions
The ump sort of tips the runner off running to get closer to see the tag @ 5:09 great play. These tags, foot off the bag is a thing of beauty. I did it once in Little League caught the runner off like that.
This is more of a “Great baseball IQ” video
That doesn't take much.
5:09 tho. I dont know if I want to laugh or get frustrated
I've seen most of these incidents before but I want to say thank you. I love the fact that you're showing more than just a 5 second clip. So much more informational.
My hidden ball trick is when I tuck them back and pretend Im a woman.
You don't need to pretend anymore. Just say you are. Everyone will embrace you.
@@indy3749 I prefer to flaunt my stuff.
@@RyanMcCarty No you don't. You said you tuck them back and pretend you're a woman.
@@indy3749 Exactly. I flaunt it from the back my dude.
@@RyanMcCarty hahaha! Nice
Amazing plays that we used to do when we were 12-13 years old they still fall 4 getting paid Millions.
3:35 when he's not yet hated.
You make my day
Awesome music @ the end
I really love baseball
When this video ended, i was like, OH NO, and immediately looked for the next part, I love smart baseball
Some of these are so petty but i love it.
Amazing
these are some petty outs 😂
This breaks my heart
Heads up by the umps, nice.
Umpire was like sorry Frazier but you got psyched out.
This is great
Man im just shaking my head lol
I wonder if the players watch these kind of videos and think “wow, I can’t believe I fell for that”
5:06 WTF Ok you know what I'm out. This game already pisses me off.
Wat
in my opinion one of the best types of plays in all of baseball
This is kinda interesting to watch.
4:46 Andrelton is a genius
This makes baseball look fun
That's hilarious fam
I dont watch baseball but after watching highlights I will now‼💯💪🏽
Maybe there's a rule I don't know about. But when this happens on first or 3rd, where is the coach to tell them he didn't throw the ball back, don't move?
5:09 is on the umpire, never gave the safe signal
He didn't need to. It was an errant throw so there wasn't a question of the runner being safe or out.
@@SarahDigsHockey Umpire is obligated to make a ruling to inform the players. By Stassi's reaction, I think it's clear there was question as to whether he was safe or out.
@@nicholasquazzo5435 That's why you never see umpires signaling safe as a player runs the bases after hitting a home run. On a play like that, you rarely see the ump make a signal. Players need to pay attention.
@@SarahDigsHockey Yes but just like when there's question as to whether a home run was fair or foul, the umpire makes the call before a player runs the bases, not after. It's the ump's job to pay attention to the play. The player SHOULD but isn't obligated in the way the ump is.
Good stuff
Noiseeee
Gone use that one
Baseball my favorite sport forever⚾
There are honestly about one and a half hidden ball tricks here.
nice now I have an inspiration. iam a baseball player to!! for Philippines!!
I love these. I did that once in Little League. The runner was on the bag and you just put the ball glove on him and people are fidgety, his foot came off the bag, called out. You do it in front of the ump.
simmons is the champ
Im a Braves fan and i know it happened a long time ago but i still miss Simba
Are Bliss I wish we still had him! Especially now instead of Dansby!
I agree
Seeing Frazier getting hidden ball tricked just makes me a happy guy.
omg dude, your outro music, i thought my dog was dying behind me
is that an indy car racing by? wtf was that sound lol
Wow
I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often.
1:55 LOL smart
None of these trick play videos has my favourite of all time: with a guy on second, the batter hits one over the wall. Larry Walker leaps up for the catch but can't make it and hangs his head in disgust. Runners trot around the bags. Only, Walker was acting! He has the ball, hitter is out, throws to second for the force. 2-run homer turns to DP!
Cockiest play ever!👌
How long does it take to wash out the dirt in the white jersey
1:58 love it
which sound track played at last?
Rest in peace, Valbuena.
Simmons is a savage.
I saw the Mariners game. It was frustrating.
I was watching on tv I saw the play than typed it up on RUclips
than?
Illiterate lol
Flex tape sucks worse THAN
@@ReverendBenzo Flex tape can't fix grammar.
Goins getting tricky
Hard job too pull off
Keith Hernandez did it in a Mets game too.
The most demoralizing way to get out
Must be so embarrassing
Yea
Wow this is 😄😁😁😁
If you are a baserunner and it is between pitches or batters, don't leave the bag until the pitcher is on the mound. Remember pitcher has to be off mound during the hidden ball trick.
I did this one game😂.
The astros really need to watch out for the hidden ball trick. Maybe the Red Sod should try that tonight? 10/17/18
1:46 RIP Luis Valbuena
Hahaha...
Nice trick..
That ball wasn't the only thing Altuve had hidden lol
Bro what is the name of tune at the ending of the vedio
Announcers in the last clip are idiots. Clearly the runner thought he was out because the throw beat him and he wasn't looking, the ball hit the fielder's glove so it probably sounded like it was caught and he thought he was out so he started walking towards the dugout. Like he's not taking his lead for the next pitch or wandering off the base or anything, if he knew he was safe he obviously would've stayed on the bag, he's clearly walking dejectedly back to the dugout thinking he's out.
How do you watch baseball for a living and you can't even recognize that lol.
that is almost exactly what i thought
@Hgyvtfygyhuh Ygihvutctvnininnin omg youre stupid
Quit being extra the runner was being a fucking idiot
Because he called the play from 300 feet away in real time, not like you that watched 17 times.
@@TheLarryBrown? I was over 400 miles away when this happened and couldn't see it at all but ok
F in chat for the dude at 00:12
1:49 that's real funny haha
While rare, hidden ball tricks always give a good laugh.
Right?! It just never gets old!
@@Catman8274 Even better when the announcers are idiots.
If you’re going to stand up and adjust, call for time first. Otherwise wait until the pitcher is on the mound to take a lead.
Best I've scene too 4:20
I like how none of the runners get mad and just walk off after getting out. For all the unwritten rules and ways you can offend the other team, this isn’t one of them.
3:37 "What..."
Would it be legal if they had a mound visit and there is a runner on base and a positional player took the ball from the pitcher when the visits over and tags the runner?
Vlog Bros. pretty sure mound visits are considered a timeout, so no
ModestScizor45 Oh Ok now I feel stupid.
I think since they had a mound visit the ump would call time so no
Pixel Playz Minecraft k thanks.
No not really. You can have a mound vist and (You are on time) the a position player can take the ball when leaving the mound and off time the players just have to make sure of 2 things the umps know you have it and nobody calls time
Keep your eye on the ball. 😂
I don't get the second to last play. Why does the first base count when the Seattle guy already touched the second base?
SEA vs LAA: The runner was stealing and didn't see the ball get hit and where it went. The ball was caught in the outfield, but the infield players were acting like it was in the infield. The runner didn't tag up with first base after it was caught, therefore he's out.
He did not tag up which means he would have had to touch first then go to second
Because he didn’t see that the player caught it he thought he was safe at second but the player caught it and he didn’t run back to the base
@Hgyvtfygyhuh Ygihvutctvnininnin he clearly did. Not everyone watching these videos is well-versed in the rules of baseball. He knew *what* happened, he just didn't understand *why* it happened like that.
One outs brought me here 😂😂
*ha gotem*
Someone is going to be ducking beanballs the next time he comes to bat.
SNeaKy BaStarDs
rule number 1: always keep your eye on the ball
5:02 is the fine play by second at the blind spot from runner, and 4:05 What a runner just forgets to return. I don't think either is a trick play.
