Instead of having to tape it so many times. -primer on the front part -primer on the inside of rim. -complete all the base coat on the inside of rim. -dry sand the primer front part. -get the front part of the rim done with basecoats & glass finish.

My little SUV they are on is a hunter green color so I’m kinda limited on colors I can do on them.. I’d love to have them powder coated in that transparent Copper. That shit looks sick..

Yes you don’t need to primer just degrease the wheel and use 600 grit and after scuffled with Ajax really good and clean up good use alcohol wipe and then paint
i have a bunch of super tiny bumps all over the wheel after it all dried does anyone know why that happened or what should i do to get rid of it like should i just sand it down?

Came out really nice, I plan on doing this for some wheels I got for my Miata. How many cans did you use for one wheel?

Thanks for your instructions. How do you keep primer overspray from getting on front side when you paint the inside of the barrell?
Tape it up and cover with newspaper or plastic bags.
Doing this on a set of 17x8 konig villians I picked up. At the moment I'm removing some stubborn old plastic dip. Lol

Do you just clean them regularly? Will they start to peel after you power wash them? Have you recoated them?
They held up great if you prep and spray it correctly. Brake dust covers them at time but comes right off with a good wash.

Atleast 4 cans on the color of choice. I recommend dublicolor brand. Be patient on each layer of spray to avoid any paint runs.

As long as you spray a good layer of clear it turned out great everything I washed the car.

How is the aftermath? I painted some rims white but the break dust seem to stay on the rim and super hard to come off and I used rustoleum
It held up great. Had the wheels for couple months. The brake dust came right off after a good scrub and wash.
I beated his azz after riding around in them rims he sold me. The color chip and crack after 3 months!! I got my money back.

Jesus 320 isn’t a bit coarse? Usually I’ve heard of 800-1000 grit
320 is perfect break down the original clear and paint then you smooth it out with higher grit
