Im currently going through my visa process!! (Leave to remain) I’m stressed out for sure, but it’s worth it, as the UK is the place I want to be in. There are different types of visas, and the rules might be different according to where you are from. And you are right, It’s a home away from home for me too. Sometimes people ask me why living here and “give up” the sunny Mexico, for rainy cloudy Britain. What I came to realised is that people who asks such questions have never really traveled (or only travel for a short holiday) and also is in your own personality, isn’t it?? some people like moving around, some other people prefer the comforts of their home, some people love mountains, some other love the sea, some people enjoy dancing other people prefer reading… I’ve been here for 5 years now. My partner and I found a solicitor and they’ve been really good helping us with all the paperwork, but its expensive, time consuming, and stressful. Looking forwards to seeing your journey. PS: London as any other large populated city, has crime. I don’t live there. I know people who does, and they mostly complain about the traffic, the weather, the underground… (but so most people in CDMX, Istanbul, New York, Tokyo….)
