oooh this knitting machine vs. needles debate has me heated. it reminds me of the 'real book' vs. audiobook debate in online bookish spaces. I haven't used one myself, but in my mind, knitting machine is just like any other craft tool. a user is required to learn the skills and techniques to use it properly, so it's a valid craft on its own. also, I'm 100% sure there are people who would love to knit with needles but aren't able to due to physical limitations/disability, so a knitting machine makes the craft accessible to them!
It's sad to realize how commonplace ableism is in our society :(

Love all the pieces you made!!! I just got a knitting machine for Christmas and have also been on a binge making items with it. Love it! Also, been eyeing that Caron blossom yarn and am excited now to make something with it on my knitting machine that sweater looks gorgeous in that color.

Regarding the knitting machine: people really need to check their privilege. Those negative comments feel inherently ableistic. Do they consider hearing aids or wheelchairs 'cheating'? It gets me so fired up.

What is the colorway lot for the Jarbo Cookie Cake 😍🫶🏼 I’m in love
I have one of those big flat knitting machines and I'll tell you why the blossom cakes didn't go smoothly--it isn't the fuzz, its the cotton! I think it's because lack of stretch in the fiber. I bet if you try something 100% cotton, it will be super hard to work up, even if you have a lighter weight of yarn.
