      +Amy Johnson As an American, I've long been a fan of Paul Hogan. He just has a brutal honesty and down-to-earth way about him that I think most "regular" people can understand.
      Hopefully, most Aussies see him as that genuine person that most Americans see in him, as well.
      BTW, I know Hogan did a commercial for Foster's ("Australian for beeeah"), but in hearing from Aussies I've talked to, most don't seem to like Foster's very much. True?

    One of the best comedians in the world and my childhood hero! It's a shame Paul's later movies didn't fare as well especially in the 90's. I wish he'd make a few movies more, he seems to be in excellent shape mentally and physically for his age (about 75 at the time of this interview I reckon).

    Love the Clint Eastwood anecdote. Hoge seems like a really natural fella. I admit, I'm not familiar with any of his work outside the 'Croc' films and a vague memory of a Fosters commercial somewhere along the line but from what I've seen it's nice to see that fame and fortune didn't tarnish his self deprecating nature.
    Nice bloke.

    He would have been great in a series as a private investigator in OZ with working class sensibilities and a sense of humor. James Garner covered similar ground in the US in the 70s.

    Keeping the FALLACY (at 3:15) alive is reflected by the high price we have to pay for gas, electricity, water etc. GST going up 5% from 10% to 15% soon. Tax man wins = Australia pays.

    • @shirleymcfarlane124
      @shirleymcfarlane124 8 лет назад +1

      +Rachel McKenzie >>
      The FALLACY (at 3:15) and the knife Hogan allegedly designed (at 3:18) for Crocodile Dundee (Part One) has been replaced in Crocodile Dundee in LA with the mugger’s flick-knife. Hogan could perhaps use his new flick-knife to ambush Bill Harding (the writer of the vintage Paul Hogan Show) and force him to “create” more of the Benny Hill type of humor contained in his vintage material. The huge difference between these vintage 3rd grade comedy skits and the exceptional entertainment quality of Crocodile Dundee (Part one) would then be exposed. Painful truth is Hogan and Harding wouldn’t (in reality) know how to create something totally new and different, but with the same (and much needed) ability to give a boost to the Australian economy that is once again in severe crisis.

    Apparently, Hogan created the original material for the film Crocodile Dundee I ... AFTER adding input to the final screenplay for that film ... but BEFORE going to the US to advertise Australia as a tourist destination. There is an urgent need for liars to “learn” how to lie, because the sequential order of occurrence does not fit in.

    • @shirleymcfarlane124
      @shirleymcfarlane124 8 лет назад

      Fiona McMahon > I have verified your earlier post. Yes, G’day was already contained in the original material for Crocodile Dundee I … BEFORE Hogan left for the US to advertise Australia as a tourist destination. I have just viewed the film’s busy New York city street scene in which Mick Dundee is walking against the flow of people and says G’day to everyone he passes by.

      +Fiona McMahon if it's true good for him. he's a genius.

    • @jacaranda4u
      @jacaranda4u 8 лет назад

      +chrisbotron >> If it's true, why not go all the way and say that he "created" the original material for Crocodile Dundee I AFTER the film was shown worldwide -- what's the difference? Whether he created the original material AFTER the final film script was copied from the original material or AFTER the film was shown worldwide -- it still does not fit in as far as the correct sequential order of occurrence is concerned, or does it?

  • @wunderbar46
    @wunderbar46 8 лет назад +1

    The URGENT need for another boost to the Australian economy is NOW. If Hogan was in reality the CREATIVE GENIUS who had generated the massive boost to the Australian economy which followed the release of “Crocodile Dundee” in 1986, he should now be able to “create” something totally new and different ... but with the same ability to boost the Australian economy as “Crocodile Dundee” did after its release in 1986.
    Accepting the high ethical standards associated with the term “politically correct” as a valuable personal asset, is a concept that is inconceivable for Bogan Australians. There is marked confusion between the meaning of the word “smart” and the meaning of the word “dishonest”. Bogan Australians say today that it is NOT “politically correct” to STEAL anything - but refined Australians have always known ever since the time of Ned Kelly that stealing is a CRIMINAL OFFENCE.

      Sweet nice "jungle" guy who's super neighborly and super social and Lone gunman who has no friends is the same character? Hmmm, tell the difference between things much? Slippery robber who's an electronics genius and a Dead-serious Sailor ruffian is the same character? Don't think you kno much on Paul Hogan, son. And btw, Deniro plays the same character over and over again, and so does Eastwood, and so does Jim Carrey and Al Pacino, so you're comment of one-trick pony means you haven't seen the wild success of Hollywood legends, that includes Paul Hogan. Mate.

    • @theartfuldodger935
      @theartfuldodger935 7 лет назад

      Paul Polpiboon
      Hogan had success making commercials and success making the Crocodile Dundee films. Same character basically in both.
      He may have played different roles, but did he succeed playing them? That's the point I'm making. Hogan was a one-trick pony.

    • @paulpolpiboon9535
      @paulpolpiboon9535 7 лет назад

      If you're saying one-trick pony is a one singular repeated character then we've already demonstrated how wrong that statement would be, because he's played multiple diverese roles extremely well, successful or not. But if you're questioning his success; that's laughable. He wrote and directed THEE most successful televised show in the entire history of Australia proving himself a Showbiz comic genius. He wrote and produced two blockbuster Hollywood movies; the immortal Mick Dundee. He's hosted the frikin OSCARS brilliantly with WILD success, he's won -not nominated- WON a Golden Globe, and politically he single handedly turned Australia into an american tourist destination w/his Australian Campaign Ads. One trick pony? Sounds like a lot of tricks to me...
