What a wonderful, entertaining interview. Had me smiling all the way through.
I was 18 when he did that Oscar speech. I laughed so hard. I almost didn't go see crocodile Dundee in theaters and glad my friends talked me into going.
What time is it?
Ahhh bout 2:30.
Adam Hills is so engaging and Paul Hogan is an absolute legend and Aussie icon, I'd love to meet him one day.
Mo and Jo of MOJO advertising were the catalyst for Hoges
And what would you say to him? "That's not a knife...now that's a knife"
+Amy Johnson As an American, I've long been a fan of Paul Hogan. He just has a brutal honesty and down-to-earth way about him that I think most "regular" people can understand.
Hopefully, most Aussies see him as that genuine person that most Americans see in him, as well.
BTW, I know Hogan did a commercial for Foster's ("Australian for beeeah"), but in hearing from Aussies I've talked to, most don't seem to like Foster's very much. True?
Used to love watching The Paul Hogan Showin the late 70's. I was born in 1970 so only a kid and grew up loving to see him on the telly.
Born 73 so only recall his later stuff World Series Wars, The Incredible Weed, Superdag, Thickhead, Ford Superquiz parody, Fistful Of Ravioli and Wreckers Of The Lost Park are my memories of it.
god I miss the 70s!!! tears tears sob
Ricky Gervais nicked his attitude, and kept running with it. A stalwart of comedy Paul. You are SO loved.❤️
That was wonderful. Well done ❤
Paul I am so inspired by you.I have liked all of the movies and programs you have done. Your a funny bugga. i wish and hope to meet you in person one day.
One of the best comedians in the world and my childhood hero! It's a shame Paul's later movies didn't fare as well especially in the 90's. I wish he'd make a few movies more, he seems to be in excellent shape mentally and physically for his age (about 75 at the time of this interview I reckon).
would love to meet him what a cool guy.Todays actors and comedians need to be more like paul hogan the world would be a better place
you'd be on your knees in minutes....
Love the Clint Eastwood anecdote. Hoge seems like a really natural fella. I admit, I'm not familiar with any of his work outside the 'Croc' films and a vague memory of a Fosters commercial somewhere along the line but from what I've seen it's nice to see that fame and fortune didn't tarnish his self deprecating nature.
Nice bloke.
He would have been great in a series as a private investigator in OZ with working class sensibilities and a sense of humor. James Garner covered similar ground in the US in the 70s.
Wow Paul was so lovely to see you , as film 4 was showing crocodile Dundee tonight , I think I’ve been trapped in time . I wish you health & happiness . It’s frightening as time flashes by like a blink of an eye “G’day from the UK 🐊🐊
Great to see this man as he is a talented actor!
Hes older but he seems like hes still healthy and witty. Nice to see that.
Mad Cat Sphere! ! Tf
Like him a lot loved crocodile movies fabulouz

I love Australian humour and this guy was never dissapointing, to me anyway. Its good to see him still out there and entertaining the masses. Good on him..
Nice man. Very humble after all these years.
Paul is very handsome, charming, with a beautiful smile and accent. I love his positive outlook.
You'd have loved him in the 70s and early 80s during his Paul Hogan Show days. He was younger yet very lived in.
Nice to see he's back.
Love him what a dude
Great integrity.
A great larrikin and humble. Top bloke!
I'm glad to see mostly nice comments , I'm guessing the comments below are mostly Aussies . I'm sick of Americans like Family Guy slagging off saying the usual , '' we saw a lot of him , then we never heard of him again ''...
Salt of the Earth Bloke. Good on yer sport from a pomme Brit. I worked with a Guy in sydney, Australia once - Just like Paul Hogan. Great Bloke
What a cool guy
Love Paul hogan in the crocodile dundee films, when ever Paul hogan acts in a film I purchase the dvd great actor nice guy would love to shack his hand. (From a pom in the uk)
Happy 77th birthday Paul Hogan ......I love this guy acting he is AMAZING......
Native Sista yeah an awesome guy!
True love his movies...
If you haven't already Native Sista check out what he did in the 70s in Australia. Hilarious!
Okay I'll check it out...
Great interview.
Very good interview.
Here we have two people who don’t take themselves too seriously and project positive vibes ❤
Wow, he looks different, but I guess we all do. Still ❤ him
.
This may be my favourite video on RUclips. Adam genuinely loves Hoges. He's chuffed af.
We all do silly.
Brilliant!
Still as funny as I remember. Always loved his humour
Love this interviewer
The hoges Croc Dundee story is the Aussie version of Stallone and rocky
Wow he's so cool. I've always wished he had done more. But I'm So Glad he's doing more stuff now 😃
This man got me into liking Humor :) Paul Hogan Show :) This man is a Legend like Benny Hill :)
Yes im bit drunk atm ;) but hey, who cares ;)
The saying that I remember the most and still use to this day is, "Outta the way dopey"
a genuine auzzie no frills or bull ,i think back to his shows they made us laugh, with characters like ,leo wanker, luigie the magician, etc, people need comedy like that today we need to laugh again ,its the best medicine,i dont think there will ever be someone like him again,so sad,we love you paul. but dont get me wrong hes still alive, and still funny.
Nothing hollow about Hoges. He seems satisfied to play himself and credits the rest to 'good luck.' He's still funny. Onya Hoges. You're a gem.
The Paul Hogan Show was his best stuff by far. Genius levels of performance.
Paul Hogan for president of Earth
Nice one ☝️
David Carradine will always be "Kung Fu", Paul Hogan will always be "Crocodile Dundee".
"Paul", Intelligent, humorous, handsome. Sad thing is, he's so wonderfully unique, there's no way I'll find someone like him in the UK, not a cat in hells chance.... *sigh*
Hogan was genius,he took what every day Australians said and did,and made a career out of it. Many of his early works, remind me today of people that I knew, and me.just sayin'
great guy .
He was a handsome guy.
Keeping the FALLACY (at 3:15) alive is reflected by the high price we have to pay for gas, electricity, water etc. GST going up 5% from 10% to 15% soon. Tax man wins = Australia pays.
+Rachel McKenzie >>
The FALLACY (at 3:15) and the knife Hogan allegedly designed (at 3:18) for Crocodile Dundee (Part One) has been replaced in Crocodile Dundee in LA with the mugger’s flick-knife. Hogan could perhaps use his new flick-knife to ambush Bill Harding (the writer of the vintage Paul Hogan Show) and force him to “create” more of the Benny Hill type of humor contained in his vintage material. The huge difference between these vintage 3rd grade comedy skits and the exceptional entertainment quality of Crocodile Dundee (Part one) would then be exposed. Painful truth is Hogan and Harding wouldn’t (in reality) know how to create something totally new and different, but with the same (and much needed) ability to give a boost to the Australian economy that is once again in severe crisis.
Shame he hasn't made more films. I liked him in Almost an Angel, yet it didn't do as well. Hollywood can be so fickle.
the Crocodile guy Dundee FTW
They should take the laugh track out of it.
what a guy!!!!
Hoges is a top bloke
Fuckin great guy!
well you maybe a rigger but to us you are royalty comedy royalty
Funny how he and Michael Palin look alike now in old age.
Paul Hogan for PM
Love accents
that's not a knife)))
Apparently, Hogan created the original material for the film Crocodile Dundee I ... AFTER adding input to the final screenplay for that film ... but BEFORE going to the US to advertise Australia as a tourist destination. There is an urgent need for liars to “learn” how to lie, because the sequential order of occurrence does not fit in.
Fiona McMahon > I have verified your earlier post. Yes, G’day was already contained in the original material for Crocodile Dundee I … BEFORE Hogan left for the US to advertise Australia as a tourist destination. I have just viewed the film’s busy New York city street scene in which Mick Dundee is walking against the flow of people and says G’day to everyone he passes by.
+Fiona McMahon if it's true good for him. he's a genius.
+chrisbotron >> If it's true, why not go all the way and say that he "created" the original material for Crocodile Dundee I AFTER the film was shown worldwide -- what's the difference? Whether he created the original material AFTER the final film script was copied from the original material or AFTER the film was shown worldwide -- it still does not fit in as far as the correct sequential order of occurrence is concerned, or does it?
The URGENT need for another boost to the Australian economy is NOW. If Hogan was in reality the CREATIVE GENIUS who had generated the massive boost to the Australian economy which followed the release of “Crocodile Dundee” in 1986, he should now be able to “create” something totally new and different ... but with the same ability to boost the Australian economy as “Crocodile Dundee” did after its release in 1986.
Accepting the high ethical standards associated with the term “politically correct” as a valuable personal asset, is a concept that is inconceivable for Bogan Australians. There is marked confusion between the meaning of the word “smart” and the meaning of the word “dishonest”. Bogan Australians say today that it is NOT “politically correct” to STEAL anything - but refined Australians have always known ever since the time of Ned Kelly that stealing is a CRIMINAL OFFENCE.
Wow he looks different
its all over
What did he do with his old head?
Poot what?
Yes he's changed a lot since his early career. Nothing unusual.
he has a look of Glen Campbell in his later years
This interview should not have canned laughter. That lessens the import of the interview. Otherwise, it is great.

Do you serve blacks in this bar?
Of course.
Then I'll take a pint and give one of them to my crocodile.
Stray cats
Bloody normal compared to today's political correct bullshit.
A one-trick pony. But boy, what a trick.
+The Artful Dodger One trick??? You obviously know very little about Hogan's long career.
AXEL MASTIFF I know all about his long career. Same character, over and over again.
Sweet nice "jungle" guy who's super neighborly and super social and Lone gunman who has no friends is the same character? Hmmm, tell the difference between things much? Slippery robber who's an electronics genius and a Dead-serious Sailor ruffian is the same character? Don't think you kno much on Paul Hogan, son. And btw, Deniro plays the same character over and over again, and so does Eastwood, and so does Jim Carrey and Al Pacino, so you're comment of one-trick pony means you haven't seen the wild success of Hollywood legends, that includes Paul Hogan. Mate.
Paul Polpiboon
Hogan had success making commercials and success making the Crocodile Dundee films. Same character basically in both.
He may have played different roles, but did he succeed playing them? That's the point I'm making. Hogan was a one-trick pony.
If you're saying one-trick pony is a one singular repeated character then we've already demonstrated how wrong that statement would be, because he's played multiple diverese roles extremely well, successful or not. But if you're questioning his success; that's laughable. He wrote and directed THEE most successful televised show in the entire history of Australia proving himself a Showbiz comic genius. He wrote and produced two blockbuster Hollywood movies; the immortal Mick Dundee. He's hosted the frikin OSCARS brilliantly with WILD success, he's won -not nominated- WON a Golden Globe, and politically he single handedly turned Australia into an american tourist destination w/his Australian Campaign Ads. One trick pony? Sounds like a lot of tricks to me...
That's Not a Interviewer. A hills is a bad INTERVIEWER . Paul Hogan is A VERy Funny PERSON . Ps Can the canned laughter. . Ye drop of a hills and one of the many reasons I dont watch tv .
Laughter so staged.
he's off his head theses days.... the result of narcissism
Looks horrible due to his tobacco-drug addiction. Ugh!
He's almost 80 years old! He looks great!
