    Paul Hogan DID NOT host "A Current Affair" for Station TCN-Sydney. Mike Willessee had that role. 'Hoges' created comedy skits for the show, along with his partner/manager, John 'Strop' Cornell. It was those skits that developed into the comedy specials Hogan produced for Station TCN-Sydney and its network affiliates in other states(GTV-Melbourne, QTQ-Brisbane, NWS-Adelaide and STW-Perth).

    Eric Bana is a comedian to us Aussies. We still struggle to take him seriously in real movies.
    He was just like Paul Hogan doing sketch comedy on Tv.
    He got his start (so i hear) by going to a stand up gig, heckling the comedian for being a hack then got challenged to step up right there & then & do better....So he did, killed it & the rest is history.
    The Tv show was called Full Frontal for any non Aussies.
    Our humor is a bit odd but we found it bloody hilarious.

      @Jamie Nelson I most certainly *WOULD* call Steve Irwin an *IDIOT!* His death was caused due to him getting *TOO CLOSE* to the wildlife he was capturing on video. Thus the ray that killed him was close enough for its barb to hit Irwin in his chest and that was the fatal blow. If Irwin had kept his distance and used telephoto to shoot the video, he'd still be alive today. Irwin's death is entirely due to his own *UTTER STUPIDITY!*

    The New York busy city street scene of the film 'Crocodile Dundee' in which Mick Dundee - while walking down a busy New York street against the flow of people - says ‘g’day’ to every person he passes by, is a clear indication that the screenplay for the film already existed before Hogan went to the US to advertise Australia as a tourist destination on American television.
    Quite obviously, ‘g’day’ was already part of the screenplay for the film ... BEFORE Hogan left for the US to advertise Australia. This scene certainly contradicts Hogan’s statement (at 7:07) that he allegedly “wrote” the original story for the film AFTER he returned from the US where he had been “selling” Australia to the American people.
    In the legal document Hogan had signed on the 24th of May 1985, he stated that he was one of the writers of the screenplay for the yet to be released film 'Crocodile Dundee' for the purpose of raising the funds to produce the film. Anyone who is familiar with film making knows that a screenplay is based on an original story ... which means that a screenplay cannot exist BEFORE an original story is created FIRST. So, how could Hogan (in reality) have written the original story for the film ... AFTER having added some input to the (final) screenplay BEFORE his departure to the US to advertise Australia on American television.

    • @davidedghill6682
      @davidedghill6682 7 лет назад +3

      Fiona McMahon it's not clear what you are intimating.
      The "G'Day from Australia" tourism adverts debuted in America in January 1984 so were obviously written and filmed sometime in 1983.
      Furthermore, G'Day is common vernacular in Australia.
      Paul had been writing and staring in his nationally syndicated TV show "The Paul Hogan Show" since 1973 and had traveled and filmed in Britain and had been to New York prior to him writing the tourism campaign or Crocodile Dundee.

    • @wunderbar46
      @wunderbar46 7 лет назад

      Nobody in Australia owns a monopoly on Australian vernacular. An original work is not defined by WHAT is written & the true author of an original work is identified by WHO wrote what and WHEN. Why not support the dates you have quoted as to when the advertising campaign started in the US with material published on the Internet that is supported with legal evidence? Once you do this you will realize that the media invariably distorts the truth and often goes further by producing re-enactments of “true stories” that are total fallacies. Were you aware that Paul Hogan was born twice? The first time it was in Parramatta (according to documents lodged in 1985 with the Corporate Affairs Office in Sydney by J.P. Productions). The second time he was born in Lightning Ridge to fit in with Lightning Jack. This sort of propaganda serves the obvious purpose of protecting infringement of IP rights, money laundering and tax fraud.

    The URGENT need for another boost to the Australian economy is NOW. If Hogan was in reality the CREATIVE GENIUS who had generated the massive boost to the Australian economy which followed the release of “Crocodile Dundee” in 1986, he should now be able to “create” something totally new and different ... but with the same ability to boost the Australian economy as “Crocodile Dundee” did after its release in 1986.
    Accepting the high ethical standards associated with the term “politically correct” as a valuable personal asset, is a concept that is inconceivable for Bogan Australians. There is marked confusion between the meaning of the word “smart” and the meaning of the word “dishonest”. Bogan Australians say today that it is NOT “politically correct” to STEAL anything - but refined Australians have always known ever since the time of Ned Kelly that stealing is a CRIMINAL OFFENCE.

    • @wunderbar46
      @wunderbar46 7 лет назад

      How refined! Typical response from a stuck for words uneducated ill-bred half wit. Were you looking at your reflection in your iPad screen when you posted your comment? Be progressive and tell the truth instead of showing the average Australian to the world as a congenital liar and a vulgar thief. Most importantly pay back what you have stolen, then and only then will the Australian economy recover from its crisis.

    • @incomearner2
      @incomearner2 7 лет назад

      Blatant role reversal. Some half wits have made millions of $$ out of Crocodile Dundee even though they were not entitled to any of the royalties owing to the true author of the original artistic work for that film. And now the rest of Australia is struggling to make ends meet and these half wits are incapable of generating another economic boom, despite their counter claim of authorship in relation to the original material for this film.

    • @shirleymcfarlane124
      @shirleymcfarlane124 7 лет назад

      The ABC looks after the interest of genuine Australians whereas the commercial channels exploit the stupidity of gullible half wits who believe everything they see on TV. Some people in Australia are just born and bred to steal. This trait has been in their genetic make-up since the country was settled by convicts as a penal colony. Whoever said “crime doesn’t pay” needs a change of mind.

    • @jacaranda4u
      @jacaranda4u 7 лет назад

      The ABC has identified racism as a major cause for Australia’s stagnant economic performance. It is interesting to note that ONLY ONE demographic segment of Australia’s population feels offended by the ABC’s finding. Whilst people from this demographic segment of the population does not contribute much towards the progress and prosperity of modern Australia, they firmly believe that they have some kind of divine right to be considered “MORE AUSTRALIAN” than any other hard working, creative and artistic Australians living in Australia today. The self conscious reaction expressed verbally on social media by this ONE ONLY demographic segment qualifies as an admission in substance that racism does in fact exist in Australia. What doesn’t stack up, however, is DENIAL that racism exists on the one hand, but on the other hand the immutable REFUSAL to pay back the royalties that have been stolen from the true author of the original artistic material for the film Crocodile Dundee still exists.

    • @incomearner2
      @incomearner2 7 лет назад

      When Socialism is in extremes, it is the same as Communism. If Communism is unable to “regress”, the law of natural selection which sets apart scientists, academics and artistic people, who (regardless of race, gender or religion) are the productive elite of any country, this law can no longer act as a platform for the elite to discover, invent or create. The Bolshevists in communist Russia realized that in the 1990’s and made a back flip with Glasnost and Perestroika. The serious absence of productivity in Australia is obviously caused by a political system that replaces the elite with uneducated ill-bred half wits (who haven’t got a clue about how the country’s ailing economy that is now in severe decline can be repaired) and which system treats elites as subordinates to these uneducated ill-bred half wits. Instead of encouraging the elite to discover, invent or create, Australia has decided to scavenge the Marxist ideologies from the trash cans where the Russian Bolshevists had ditched these counter productive ideas and brought them to Australia. We can now feel the consequences of this Government’s regressive past actions.
