The beautiful thing about static x is that their riffs are simple. Just because music isnt complicated doesn't mean it isnt great, and wayne static perfected that.
I remember in a interview Wayne said the guitar was always written last to add a heavy rhythm to round the sound out. Still one of my favorite bands ever.
Wayne Static was very influential to me as a young player, dude played a super unique style with the most basic power chords, RIP. The video misses Stingwray though
Brilliant bro, wasn't expecting this at all. I have been listening to Static-x quite a lot lately. Wayne literally introduced a different kind of music genre , what they call ..EVIL DISCO.. But you need to definitely do a second part of this which should include.. Destroyer Terminal Skinnyman
I thought destroyer was lame. Compared to the rest of the album it's lame. Really wish the solo to behemoth was on here. Pretty much have to learn it by ear
Bad ass brother! Covered alot of the good 1s. Love the breakdown in "The Only" so u had me pretty much from the beginning of ur vid. R.I.P Wayne Static, another great taken way too soon.
@@nolter3078 for sure! the difference between drop c and standard C is especially noticeable when playing the harmonics in a few songs on Wisconsin Death Trip, like Sweat of the Bud or Trance is the Motion.

aah wayne static, a god of industrial like peter tagtgren and till lindemann ... Rip :c Also "Slave" riff is not from Static X but from Wayne Static :p But it's a great riff so it's ok ! Great video mate !
thank you for this, huge static fan here ;) you could also sub the tuning, i'm familiar with drop D (who isn't), but some riffs sound like the A cord isn't A, too :)

You're absolutely right
Yes.
Couldn’t agree more.

@@SA8TER21 Exactly. Yes bands like Tool have a lot of complex rhythms. But sometimes you need to headbang to some heavy ass rhythms.
Static X is so underrated!
Evil Disco forever 🤘🏻
That's right boi!
omg I didn't expect this at all. I love static x. absolutely brutal! RIP wayne
I always loved the song Skinnyman by Static-X. I remember it from the Need for Speed: Most Wanted (original, not remake)

Basicslly the whole static x discography is one monstrous riff. Every song is a banger. Rip Wayne..
I know it's simple but I'm With Stupid should've been on here
Every Static - X riff is simple.

Amazing cover and rip Wayne.... Legend static x... So much good for ever
Total love rip Wayne
Black & White is my favourite and the robotic musicvideo just goes perfect with the mechanical riff
Wayne took my soul in 2000 . He is eternal.. 🤘X🤘

Top 10 Dope riffs
Wayne was one the riff lords of the 90s and 2000s

I’m so glad My Damnation was on here! Start a war has some really underated songs on it.
Great video dude!
but; No Submission, Grind 2 Halt, Electric Pulse, Wisconsin Death Trip and Otsegoelectric deserved spots on the list
I think you could show the drop or the tuning of the song. I think it would be cool, if anyone wanna find and play one of the riffs
Man, I love these technical riffs.
I was introduced to this band when they opened for megadeth in’99! Had never heard of them at that point! They were fantastic! As was this vid!
You was there?
I was,.. in Toronto Canada at a place called the warehouse! One of the best days of my life, no joke!
I come back to this video when i need a boost because literally just anything static related just helps
You can make a top 10 riffs of any band and I'll still watch
RIP Wayne Static
Thank you for that my dear
Wayne had a unique vocals
great video i didnt expect static Killer from his solo record, king of simple riffs, beats many technical bands
Dissection riffs would be awesome as well.
Great vid, Static-X is one of my favorites.
CKY
Well done sir! I've been studying the way Wayne played Push It and you play it exactly like him!
Thanks for playing the riffs in standard c like the band did instead of drop c like the 90% of the tabs out there
On one hand I agree with you, on the other it really doesn't matter in the end. The riffs kick ass in either tuning
@@Pavelski. Dude you totally right i just point that out because it seems that he actually do the work to learn the song in the original way
@@nolter3078 for sure! the difference between drop c and standard C is especially noticeable when playing the harmonics in a few songs on Wisconsin Death Trip, like Sweat of the Bud or Trance is the Motion.
