    I’d like to know how you decided on speaker placement. Specifically your height channels. From what I’ve seen ribbon tweeters have a tighter dispersion pattern. So are you getting coverage on all your seats?

    Home theatre enthusiasts take note that this is how it's done. Yeah, man, you're getting a little too good at this shit (class act)
    Personally, I've always been under the illusion that there's speakers for HT, and there are speakers for two channel stereo. Perhaps I'm wrong? Mind you, it's only when I move my stereo speakers away from the boundary of nearby walls that I'm able to take advantage of a full-on soundstage! Not forgetting the presentation of an enhanced holographic image, too.

    Having same speakers throughout is the ultimate! Congrats on finding a speaker that you were willing to buy 18 times! That will definitely be my final and toughest purchase decision.

    Love the new setup, amazing use of space and looks fantastic!!! Where is that 21”?
    I went with the 831 LCR and 821 sides, 661 rears, 815 atmos, but that bed layer you have probably sounds so immersive! Congrats on the new theater setup!

    Question. How do you keep the bass contained when the super low frequencies of the tools shake the walls. Neither Dirac alive or my Arc Genesis seems to contain it if I have the subs turned up a little

    YAAAAAASSSSS Boom!! He hit us with the Boom!!! Edit: Fantastic review. Those camera transitions too smooth thooough. The setup is great. May I recommend 2021's No Time to Die, the beginning scene where Mr. Bond and his soon to be ex-baddy are being shot at from all sides while in their car. Should sound thoroughly sick in your space...sir.

    Spot on review! That perfectly captures my experience with them too. That AMT is my favorite tweeter I've heard. I appreciate the honesty about the phase plug chuffing, but as you said, cross them over to the subs to eliminated the con, and you've got a very robust and excellent sounding speaker that's hard to beat in that price range.

    Hi Shane, I am building out my first home theater and I’m wondering how you decided speaker placement. As I’m sure you know, there is a lot of competing advice out there on what the best location for the bedlayer and atmos speakers are to maximize the “bubble of sound.”
    Would love to hear your thoughts on the subject and how you eventually settled on speaker placement (if not here as a comment then perhaps in a video?). Thanks and looking forward to more content!

    Great review Shane! I remodeled my theater with 7 RBH SI-760's for the bed layer, 6 RBH VM-815 for Atmos a couple years ago now.. love them more and more every time we watch movies! Spot on review IMOP👍

    My main worry with flush mounted speakers is that they might vibrate during low end sounds and cause a buzzing sound against the wall. How is this prevented in your case?

      They sit on fabric wrapped insulated wall panels. Some are on swivel brackets.

      @@therealshanelee yeah..absolutly,i was wondering should i get ultra 2 thx setup ,MK S150,300 or RBH or Perlisten,my room is small, 4.5 x 3 x 2.7,perlisten is really expensive i dont know if it will be too much for my home theater,i listened to some ultra 2 thx demo on youtube thats all,sounds pretty good but detail seems not that great,RBH sounds overall pretty good.

      btw if i go RBH,do you recommend same speaker 661SW/R?or should I go smaller one?and how many speakers do you recommend in my tiny room? i was planning maybe 7.2.6

    So overall, the output is better than the single 6" woofer RBH? Do you feel the need to go to the 821 with the 8" woofers?

    Shane, good to see you have a space that is yours, one that you can make your own. I recently had this opportunity after years of work. It is an amazing feeling to walk into your dedicated theater and know all of the work that went into it.
    I see you have height speakers instead of overhead speakers. Was this because of the mounting options of the speakers? Or they sounded better there?
    The reason I ask is because I have 4 overhead speakers and am planning my next steps. I am trying to decide on whether it is worth it to add height speakers or not along with left and right wide speakers?

    Shane, are your heights the 661 on-wall turned horizontal or are they actually a center channel? Just wondering if the tweeter getting turned sideways makes a difference if it’s built to be a vertical speaker?

      Hi XudenGroupLLC, this particular AMT has very good horizontal and vertical dispersion with the vertical being only 10 degrees less than the horizontal. In extremely off axis cases it would matter slightly, but in Shane's case, he's not missing a thing.

    Loved the video. Shane do you have a video or can you do a video how you setup your side surrounds as you mentioned having two rows. Did you split the side surround signal into two and just outputted them to the amps?Did you have to configure time delays differently per row and what was your method. I never really saw anyone do a video for adding multiple rows of sides. Just wanted to see how you connected them.

      RBH at MWAVE was my second favorite room. Didn't sound bright at all.

      I was at MWAVE and didn’t think they were bright. I also heard the freestanding version of this speaker in a 2 channel demo and they sounded phenomenal.

      @@XudenGroupLLC Those 2 rooms and Ascendo were very good and went back and forth on different aspects in my opinion. Hard to even rank them and you also have to consider that all were in non ideal rooms.

    I wish RBH or someone else had done a smaller more attainable system like this at MWave. JVC projector with these RBH would have motivated more people to go home and duplicate.

      We did have the budget 85-i towers on display for music, they do excel at movies too. If you didn't get a chance to hear them, we apologize. They were a hit.

      @@therealshanelee thx they just seem to have much better bass extension and angled tweeter. in ur room the tweeters are WAY off axis for surround duties. and cos the speakers are close ur not at tweeter height with no tilt so ur relying on off axis sound in a vertical dispersion pattern. this is not going to give ideal sound.

    Trying without the sub is silly. The speakers behave differently when crossed to a sub. Often crossed to a sub they are more efficient in the lower mids and upper bass.

    The room looks great. You must have a tremendously immersive experience. Did I understand you correctly that the RBH speakers are a step up from your old Ascendo speakers?

    I first heard of RBH when I first started looking for speakers for my theater back in 2013. I went with another brand instead.

      @@therealshanelee yeah I went the Niles Soundstage series. They aren't made anymore but at the time high quality theater speakers in the mode of M&K speakers.

    Hi Shane, really liking the fact, you mentioned the issue with deep bass causing some audible issues when run full range. Appreciated. Also the production level is up a notch. Great.
    Btw V8 sounds more vivid and louder rather without turbo chargers.. glad you have fun with these.

    man...! I would LOVE to watch some demos in your theater with this specific setup. RBH 55iwr are my goal for front 3 channels when I can save up for them. This brand has really come to my attention in the last 6 months or so with your help and some other content they've been a part of, also its great their new impression series is available direct to consumer. thanks for the review and it seems like your video production value has really improved, nice work.

      Depends on the tweeter. There are amazing soft domes that sound like AMT’s and vice versa.

      ​@@erecher005 the 55-iwr is a fantastic choice. We had a customer just buy some for his rear speakers and his comment was "1 word: WOW". He said it's the best tweeter he's experienced and he shared some bad news, he wants to replace his beloved LCRs with more Impression speakers. (He wasn't going to replace them).       @@nicolasben-fredj8162 it's different for every movie. But everyone should know when the volume becomes uncomfortable to just back it down. Your hearing is more fragile the older you get. Don't worry about the db.

      It’s amazing how much louder you can listen when your speakers are capable of ‘clean’ high output spl. Listening fatigue creeps in when your speakers start reaching their upper limits.
