Nate Smith could drop a drawer full of silverware and it would still have a killer pocket! Anything he's playing on is worth listening to - it will make you bob your head and tap your foot! Love you too John!
So WOW !! John Patitucci, Adam Rogers and Nate Smith !!!! What a line up ! SO tastefull... I will dig more into Steve Cardenas' work because I didn't know him
One minute in, hits the thumbs up button...🙏🏽💖 It's been a profound delight to listen to JP for almost 4 decades(first heard him on a bootleg Elektrik Band cassette in the 80's, before he got the Ken Smith 6 string). This band has great chemistry. Thanks to all of you for your devotion to the art and craft of performing improvised music. 🤗
Not typical to hear such rock sounding music from John Patitucci. For me he's strongly associated with the Chick Corea' Elektric and Acoustic Bands and lyrical guitar-like soloing on 6-string bass. And now it's steady blues groove and hard sound. Superb!
This is totally different from mr. Patituccis work that I remember. In that spirit of exploring new things why stop at bluesy neo-soul? The most unexpected and ballsy move I could think of now would be an honest stab at modern dance music. Jan Hammer and John Mclaughlin did it at least once.
Man, I love John's energy. Really really pulls me in! Steve and Adam definitely are playing solid. Nate is as usual... pocket!. But the unfortunate part; Nate's solid/hard snare hits don't translate well on this recording man. Probably sounded a bit different live or on stage but it's just not right... Otherwise, the recording engineer would have not compressed the snare to the levels (not the engineer's fault either I feel like actually) what you mostly hear is the "click" of it. Probably on a higher bpm tune, especially in 4/4, the issue is less obvious. Anyways, while I ADMIRE all these musicians individually, I just didn't feel that it is a solid connection yet in the "dynamics department" between the drums and the rest. Just an opinion of course. As usual, highly appreciate the fact that I can even have access to this 🙏 Please keep them coming!
По сути, абсолютно ничего нового не играют. Один и тот же пресловутый "квадрат", который, все кому не лень, проиграли триллион раз, а может два триллиона раз...
After all those years and an incredible career and a discography, finally Patittucci is promoted to an ordinary Boca Raton gig player. I can't believe this.
john's bass tone just cured my E.D.
🤣🤣🤣😂😂😭😭😭

Pure heavenly eargasm! Nate's drumming is immaculate, beautiful music.
Hi! John Patitucci used to play with Chick Corea keyboard and Dave Wekl in drums, many years ago. Sound real good !🙄

Steve Cardenas is the most underrated guitarist around

More bolt-on P/J-action for the people! ❤
It's such a pleasure seeing and listening to this band laying deep in the groove!
Too good.
Nate.
Someone needs to sing on this !
Beautyful. Proves, that "fine music" does not mean 1000 notes in a minute.
I do like the sparse groove.
Nate Smith joue sur Canopus ! A-t-il abandonné Ludwig ??? Rhaaaaa !
Yeah shit i knew that was nate

You're welcome :)
What's that, man bun? 🙄
