Caldas da Rainha is a great town with an amazing market once a month in the beautiful Dom Carlos I park! We spent a few hours looking at the fascinating items for sale, and also chatting with friends from the area! This is our third Caldas da Rainha vlog... we love this place! We live only 50km from Caldas and have yet to go there, but will soon! We bought our house with contents included...Lots for the trash, but found lots of treasures many that remind me of things at that market! A little weird unpacking someone's life, but fun at the same time! I think there's a pottery outlet store there I'd like to go to...Do you know of it? Lee reminds me of my husband...Fixes everything and is even building a kitchen island out of an old armoire!! We are fairly frugal too!!😉

I would have struggled to throw anything away! 😉 Yes, we actually went to the factory outlet store with Ma and Gaz, and will show it in an upcoming Caldas video. Lee's fairly handy with some things... it's more that he's driven by our shared frugal ways, and likes to make do and mend, rather than throw away and buy new. We would have loved to have spent more time in the Alentejo, especially as we love the wine! We've ended up spending so much time on the Silver Coast as have had one amazing housesit after another, so it's really difficult to tear ourselves away! Loved the video. This is one of my favorite flra markets in the region. But not too fsr from caldas, we also have the biggest street market in the country. Its the "santana street market" and it happens every sunday. That is somethinf out of this world, that im sure you would love.

Dear Mandy and Lee, fungal or bacterial infections, such as Athlete's foot, can be easily contracted through minor cuts, skin fissures or under the nail beds. These issues can be very invasive and difficult to treat. Shoes are often excellent breeding grounds for these issues because the interior of a shoe remains dark and damp. However, gently used shoes that have been properly cleaned and deodorized should not negatively impact the foot health of a new owner. Buyer beware. Please take care of each other.

This warning only applies to razor clams as they are known to concentrate and retain domoic acid toxin in their meat and tissues at higher levels and for much longer than other species of bivalve shellfish. Parasites and commensals: Rarely, small cysts can be seen imbedded in the siphon of the razor clam. These cysts are one of the intermediate stages in the life cycle of a parasitic nematode (round worm) of the common skate. As for me I am safe because I am allergic to shell fish. She taught me Brazilian and Portugal Portuguese and I love cooking with bay leaves and preserves hence the name for bay leaf. Just as a side bar. My Portuguese teacher, a grandmother, told me that my pronunciation was average but when it came to talking love and women my Portuguese was perfect. She said, I have to watch you. LOL

@@FrugalTravellers Dear Mandy and Lee, a few years back I took Portuguese lessons from a Portuguese avó. She taught me Brazilian and Portugal Portuguese and I love cooking with bay leaves and preserves hence the name for bay leaf. Just as a side bar. My Portuguese teacher, a grandmother, told me that my pronunciation was average but when it came to talking love and women my Portuguese was perfect. She said, I have to watch you. LOL

TAP is a very expensive portuguese airline. You can travel to the portuguese islands for a small amount of money instead of spending a fortune with TAP.
