I woke up feeling blegh today, literally just knocked out on the couch while reading. Just woke up from that nap and now I'm feeling much better. Sometimes what makes me feel worse is the self judgement, but once I let that shit go and allow my body to just be (and mind) it usually gets lighter and then I can proceed with my day. Unfortunately this nap was a luxury that I know not everyone can take😢😅
This is sooo incredibly valuable! I experienced severe burnout to the point where I became very sick and needed to stop working. I’ve learned to better care for myself with some of these exact tips. I feel like this needs to be talked about more and so glad to see a coffee talk about it ❤

Loved this coffee talk! What I like to do to get motivated is to think back on the things I loved to do as a child...dance to music, journal, declutter (yeah I was weird), ride bikes, shoot some hoops, jump on a trampoline, etc. When I do the thing it brings back a sense of nostalgia that feels so good and cosy. Then I am motivated! Of course I try to relate the past activity to the present, if possible. I also love getting inspo from RUclips creators like yourself! 😉

This was a great reminder for me to take it slow this week and to incorporate more things that make me feel like myself again. I like to get motivated by repeating a mantra that reminds me that I’m worthy, making a list of what to do in this moment that will bring me joy for the day, dressing in a way that makes me feel confident, giving myself a reward of self care after I finish what I need to do.i actually also use your pep talk video to remind myself I am capable of facing what I need to face or do what I need to do.

What is your budget so you can fix your house? I said stop. My husband and I are figuring it out. We just paid off our emergency plumbing bill. We are doing the best we can. Back off. I think they had good intentions. But boundaries. And I did need to hear your video today. You look amazing and Bentley stayed with you through the video! 🥰
In anthroposophy (which i keep recomending lol) there's the belief that you as a person encompass several states of being; the physical, the soul, the ether-body, the astralic/star-body and the ego. Every single aspect of you can be tired; if you work your physical body, that will be tired. If you do a lot of intellectual work, your ether-self will be tired, if you do a lot of ego-work (like being in a fight for example) your ego-self will be tired. The trick is figuring our which part of you is tired and then not exerting this part further. Now, every aspect has a counter that strengthens it (ego's counter are mostly physical body/ soul). By choosing a task that specifically strengthens the tired aspect by activating another, you can find deep balance in your energies. If you feel tired because you did a lot of admin work for example, your ego and ether-self will be very tired. Your soul and physical self, however, will be underworked and by specifically engagning in those through art or dancing, you can rebalance your energy
This actually makes a lot more sense but I had no idea there was a belief around it! What would you recommend as source material to dive deeper into anthroposophy?

First I love how you can take my half thought and breath it out into a fully formed big picture. Second I get out of my head and do anything physical, especially a walk next to nature where they get all my focus. That provides a path for the actual reason I am feeling some kind of way to come forward to my conscience mind. Then I can deal with it.
😂 trying to find the time to actually listen to this to find helpful ideas is priceless. I have twin toddlers. No help. Im Mentally, emotionally, physically drained. I need to actually finish listening to things like this…. But I’m too busy and drained 🤷🏼♀️ ♻️

Thank you for these calming videos. Your dog is adorable. I'm consistently tired. I wish my energy level was more. I'm physically sleepy & a bit down these days emotionally. Wonder often if there's anything that could repair this. I'm not feeling connected to things much anymore or finding joy in my current environment. It's important to keep going on hopes things turn out better. My motivation is taking a hit.

Can you talk about how to balance your vision board with your ideal self and what is realistic for your real life. I always end up making an unattainable ideal self vision board that I end up abandoning or feeling defeated about. How do we find the balance in our vision boards?
oh wow. glad to see your comment. I wanted to make a vision board for 2025 and I've been feeling the same way. At the moment i plan to make a vision list focusing on how i want to feel. Then searching for images that embody the feeling not the aesthetic. I also found using illustrations from artists like Paco Yao who focus on daily life art helps. Have you found something that works for you yet?
