I had this same thought. Just get a 2" lift and don't put the back in, it'll give a better ride, and although it's a bit more expensive, it could save somebody's life. I had this exact thing happen on my bronco and it could've been way worse than it was. Shits not a joke lol cheap out on the steps if you want, but cheaping out on suspension/steering/drive train etc can be deadly, and not just to the person(s) in the truck. When my shock snapped, it almost sent me into oncoming traffic.
@@connorhart7597 just got a 2006 Toyota Tacoma base 4x2 Access cab, 4 cylinder and 5 lug. Will a 3inch spacer be dangerous? I only use it as a Daily driver not for off-roading or anything.
@@EscapeTheMatrix6977 probably not dangerous enough to recommend not buying it, but if you lift with suspension you also get the byproduct of a nicer ride and whatnot. Shouldn't be a huge issue though if it's just a daily driver
@EscapeTheMatrix6977 as long as you know how much extra travel your shock has at bump stop, you can fit spacers at or below that extra travel. 3 inches is A LOT. Probably most of your up travel is taken away there.

Had level kit on my '13 for five years, finally ditched it for real struts - what a world of difference. Never been a fan of tonneau covers, doesn't provide security as a camper does so why mess with an accessory that creates hassle and inconvenience of loading/unloading. Those lights...hmm, it's a Toyota and why make it look like a GMC?? OEM headlights reigns superior in performance/value. Those aftermarket wheels are okay, but do hold on to the original wheels, it's worth a lot more at resale. Step bars are okay but Ithink the cost outweighs the benefits, unless you are handicapped and depend on it to get up onto the truck, it's just a show piece - lugging around extra 150+ pounds (and cost to acquire/install) isn't feasible. Just my opinion, you asked, I gave. God bless.
Actually she is correct. The person wanting to get in is taking a higher risk because they dont know what is in there. People usually steal when they see something they want. This cover helps believe it or not.
This is the reason that my first mod on my 2015 was to install a Pop & Lock lockable tailgate handle; the very first mod was to throw a hose clamp onto the tailgate hinge to discourage tailgate thieves until I got the Pop & Lock.
Hey Sara🤓I’m excited to to purchase today, a 07 Tacoma and your vid comes in handy for timely upgrades. Thanks for pointing out the obvious and it gives me some great ideas.
You can tell people in the comments are suburban dads lol.... worrying about a spacer lift. Of coarse its not the best just dont beat on it, if you are you should have got a actual lift like a smart person.
Do not buy those headlights they are complete garbage. When I bought them I thought there was something wrong with the bulb but it was just the headlights I would go as far to say that they are down right dangerous because they don’t light up anything on the road.

Strut spacers are very dangerous. Don't do spacer lifts. Ur stock strut will snap in half at the bottom. It's very common for the tacomas look it up.

Agree. Use a Bilstein 5100 kit to safely lift about 1.5 inches.
You should do top five mods for access cabs!!
