Seeing this Badass Emperor and knowing that we will have to go to the same stale portraits of humans in the game :( . The devs should rework the portraits and costumes for this expansion too...
The Apocalypse Trailer was something when that came out, Overlord is just something else entirely. Beautifully done and worthy of a Mini Series in its own right

As long as the other team finally fleshed out machine (please god a machine ship set for console) and hive flavor more and we get internal politics/civil wars etc and stuff fleshed out more I'm totally cool with a ground combat rework being a focus of the next.
What I love about this trailer is it’s not even slightly exaggerated. I had this exact scenario play out in game, to the letter. Got the secret fealty pledge, went to war to steal them as a vassal, used a mercenary fleet to soak up damage and tip the scale, even got the cool armor the admiral had because it’s an actual trait that admirals can get called Fallen Armor or something like that. Just awesome
AND its around a pulsar. So maybe some type of rapid galactic transportation or maybe even doomsday weapon like the aetherostic engine? Who knows! But I am looking forward to it
@@lazarmarinkovic8486 It is called Quantum Catapult. It lets you throw your fleet all over the galaxy, although where they may actually land is somewhat random 😊 There are 5 new origins, one of it is that you start with a disabled Quantum Catapult near your home system.
I don't think a trailer for a strategy game had ever gave me goosebumps before I found Stellaris, the first one to do it was the Apocalypse Trailer, and now you've done it again. Absolutely phenomenal trailer
@@MoaRider Just create your own. The mammalian (?) ship set looks very tau like, and there is also a similiar species portrait. In addition you can set primitive to maximum. And depending on which lore you prefer, you can either make them psionic or go materialist.
@@Grothgerek As far as I'm aware Tau in the lore have almost no connection to the warp, so I dont see how they could be psionic. Spiritualist maybe, but materialist would also make sense with their dependence on robots/mechs
@@CrazyDutchguys In the more modern approach of Tau to make them more grimdark, it is said that the etherals have psionic powers to control the empire and some of its vassals (like the vespids). There seems to be quite some discussion about Tau Lore... some that prefer a more grimdark faction, and some prefer a more good and scientific faction.

Just say "hey we expect it MIGHT be released in summer 2022 but no promises." Something. Some very basic communication would be nice since I paid over $100 for all the content in this game and its like a year behind PC and we have no mods to help the wait or fill gaps. Not asking for much here, your hard work is still appreciated. Thank you.

I have only a year under my belt from playing Stellaris and I have expanded on a few DLC expansions and so far I just recently purchased the Overlord expansion. The trailer alone got my attention and I couldn't help but want to become the Overlord. Stellaris really is amazing in art, music and storytelling.

Ah yes, use your friendship and favors to change the vassal agreement so that the overlord is obligated to fight in your wars, declare war on another powerful empire and watch the two giants destroy each other. If you also declared claims, you will get yourself some nice new systems while your master will be left with nothing but a destroyed fleet and a devastated economy. I love politics.
And now the long wait begins.... For console edition to catch up lmao... I'll just be patiently wait over here hyped af for yet another awesome looking expansion.

The Cinematic camera in Star Wars: Empire War instantaneously made even the most visually boring battles look like a Star Wars film.
