Baseball to me is a sport about tradition. I understand changes need to be made, but the changing jerseys seems a bit pointless. If I’m I’m paying 200ish dollars for a jersey I expect a higher quality in all aspects. Majestic did a far better job while nike/fanatics have been taking shortcuts and it shows
I don't care what their excuses are, this is purely a cash grab. These are significantly lower quality than Majestic's & last year's Nike's. This is cutting costs to increase profits and it's embarrassing to Major League Baseball. They & Nike need to fix this as soon as possible.
Jerseys change all the damn time. Especially the Braves. Not sure why this time is getting so much attention. Quality is the WRONG term and none of these reviews are actually addressing quality. Fake or light token stitching on previous replicas is not indicative of quality. Its indicative of light stitching.

This is almost as terrible as Nike charging $15 more for the inferior heat pressed NFL Vapor FUSE Limited vs the previous actual stitched on numbers of the NFL Vapor Limited.

No way! I thought it was just mlb jerseys. They ruined the football limiteds, the whole point of those is upgrading from replica with everything being heat pressed. Now just the logos are embroidered and not the #s smh
My main issue with them is that they rushed these big time. I truly believe someone fucked up and they rushed to get them done. My advice hold off on buying baseball jerseys until the issues are fixed. NBA had this issue and they addressed it.
That’s true I forgot about how bad the Nike NBA jerseys were when they first took over. However, this is mostly a fanatics issue and they have a proven track record of cheaping out hardcore. I think we will just have to wait and see.
I agree! I just got the Twins Alternate from MLB Shop for 30% off and it has a smaller font. The sleeve patch was the only upgrade.
Skipping 2024 jerseys. Sucks because I wanted the new Marlins blue jersey. The MLB batter logo makes it look unbalanced. Majestic crushed it. Fanatics is gonna massacre the new NHL jerseys next season when they take over.

At a hot game the New Jerseys are really nice to have because they are much thinner I’ve gotten used to the new name style and actually prefer it. I collect jerseys and have found to enjoy the new ones and they been on sale too for $131 so for me it’s like I’ll get the new ones because there are some benefits

One thing I noticed about the new replicas on the Yankee jerseys is the pinstripes run horizontal all the way up from the sleeve to the neck. The former replicas had vertical pinstripes all the way up and around the shoulders. I really like that change.
They use to be like that on replicas in the 2000’s. It just depends on how the template is I guess but definitely looks weird for pinstripe jerseys.
@@marcuscastillo514 I have a few of those from the 2000s, I personally prefer this sleeve design. Much closer design to what we see the players wear on the field. I’ll definitely be grabbing one of these new ones.
As a Yankee fan the template doesn’t bug me. But I understand the gripes. I think it could be an easy fix, move the batterman logo back and make the fonts bigger.
Even the $170 Limited ones put the name on the back of Yankees jerseys. Why force someone to buy the $400 authentic jersey just to not have the name on the jersey? The new template sucks.

I just purchased the Yankees Juan Soto jersey and I like it. No name makes it look better. It’s not as bad as it was led to be. The swoosh is stitched which is nice but not for a $40 increase. I got it on sale. I’m going’s to get a couple more but not at full price.

They really don’t have 3 tiers. The 2023 replica ones are being phased out until that stock runs out. They’ll only be producing the Nike Limited and Nike Elite moving forward.

It’s why I enjoy wearing soccer jerseys so much you can actually feel the difference in materials and it doesn’t affect the looks of the shirts. Also with the names on the back the teams they know how to adjust the names if they’re too long and if not the names are straight and parallel with their team numbers. Also I feel like with the jerseys the mlb logo should be an option not and not mandatory on the jersey. you know it’s a baseball team so you don’t really need the brand logo. If people want to know where the team is from they you can tell them and show them the logo.
MLB jerseys are beautiful classic and eye popping until Nike upped the price for wack templates and quality 👎

When MLb does its 25% site-wide, the limited are $133 after shipping which isn’t bad at all. The replica’s are exempt from the sale.

I bought the same New Jersey for the Rangers with their World Series patch on the sleeves. I love it to death.
I hate how they moved the collar logo down. That along with shrinking the font and numbers and everything on that back. Just looks inferior in every way compared to the older ones.

Just gotta find older Majestic jerseys that were quality and had stitching even on the replicas not to mention are much less expensive. Right now you can get a lot of authentic flex base majestics for sub $200 which is less than these new Nikes as you mentioned in the video, and a lot of replicas for less than $100.
We jersey fanatics can't keep supporting cheaper quality and higher prices.

I got a Rangers (off)white jersey but only because it came with the world champs patch. Definitely preferring 2023 or older jerseys for the time being.
I think the off-white look is because it's so thin. Which is the big problem other than the batter logo being in that ridiculous spot. You can see where the sleeves are stitched onto the shoulder it's very white there because it's so thick. When these guys where black underarmour shirts under the jersey, the white is going to look light grey.

As an ex Apparel Printer i can't believe Nike let this happen. The Fake stitching on the front and heatpressed patches along with the Material. The Reason the Logos arent stitched is because "Performance" Material is polyester and made like shit, does not work well with Embroidery.
How do you feel about this replica vs the old replica not counting the name and number customization? Personally i bought replicas because it had better sizing available but i bought blanks to be customized later with stitching

You might’ve said in the video, but how do these fit compared to the last nike style? I have a 160$ Acuna City Connect that isn’t vapor and it’s XL and fits me good with even a little room which is nice. I ordered a vapor Navy Acuna in XL. Is it going to fit the same or slimmer?

As a Rangers fan it’s so disappointing to finally win a World Series and the jersey being the new template. On top of that, the X in Texas in our uniform now is cut off compared to previous years where the X is fully on one side. Really wanted to get some jerseys this year but it’s just so lazy and pathetic from Nike. And I know this is a baseball jersey video but all their jerseys have gone to heat pressed rather than stitched on the limited line. It just sucks so much for someone who likes collecting and wearing jerseys.

If you’re thinking “I want a jersey so I’ll just buy because I have the money” be warned. I have a couple friends who went and bought heat pressed jerseys, one of them bought his at the Rams stadium and 2 years later the numbers and lettering on their jerseys are peeling off. They hand wash their jerseys in cold water only because everyone knows you don’t ever machine wash a jersey especially not with warm or hot water.
I’m not too familiar with MLB jerseys but the NFL had stitched jerseys selling for $160 but they went ahead and got rid of them and replaced them with heat pressed versions instead.
I mean i get the warning for sure. it could happen. I've had some jerseys I beat up and still hanging around. hahah i machine wash my stuff hahah...yea hhe nfl jerseys changed their tiers

From what I’m hearing, the low end replica is now going to have screen printed names and numbers. Basically they’ve made everything possible worse.
The low end replicas this year are identical to last years. They're still heat pressed with the fake stitching, just like last year. My pre order Ohtani replica arrived and it's the same material and so are the ones at the Dodgers stadium store. The batterman logo is up top behind the collar and the name isn't curved. The name font on the dodgers jersey is slightly thicker though, but I think it looks better than the really thin lettering font in years past. It looks exactly like it does in the stock photo on fanatics.

The new Jersey looks bad! Why did the make those changes to the look? It was a classic. And teams who have a pure white Jersey... now have an off white jersey. Why? Also the lettering on the front for some teams (Dodgers) isn't lined up right. The break cuts in the middle of a letter. Who does that? Doesn't look professional at all. I'm not going to buy any of these new jerseys.. unless they go back and fix the issues.
