“Hearing that Iris was an eccentric character, I thought that a synthesiser sound might fit the bill perfectly. So everything in this version, including the drums, are full synth. But… it wasn’t quite right.” -Kitagawa
I'd have preferred it. That's kinda the point of Iris, period. She's WAAAAAY too ahead of her freaking time. Like, what part of her(spoilers) developing literal holograms(among other things) necessitates her theme be PERIOD-APPROPRIATE.
@@optimaltt6070this theme could be used if some of the chiptune and other modern elements got cut down a bit so that it’ll fit the current era yet still have that intellectual energy, ya know?
This makes me think of a hypothetical of like, what if Iris somehow lived long enough to be in the modern world of the Ace Attorney universe and was like an elderly and legendary Forensic Scientist? I would easilly be able to see her being like Ema Skye's mentor but going by a different name all the while until like say Athena Cykes cracked the code and revealed her true name to her and then this theme plays as she confirms it with her signature pointing pose. Again this is all a hypothetical mind you cause I'm well aware there's no way she would be able to live that long but man just think of how crazy that would be with this version of her theme in tow?
Indeed, now that I think of it, Iris'd live all the way to AA1 at least AA1 could have interactions with Iris as with woman who knew his great grandfather, if only AA1 wasn't released yet. (Could Wendy Oldbag be Iris, though? I mean, she had that ray gun thing in AA2 and her age isn't listed anywhere!)
@@aziegames512 Nah I couldn't ever see Iris ever being Oldbag. Iris never really seemed to be the type to complain about the youth let alone ramble on in a very rapid manner in the process. Also the biggest reason I couldn't see it, Oldbag's very blunt infatuation with Edgeworth...who Barok is very clearly meant to be based off of appearance wise. Yeah given what I know, I'd rather not think about that possibility there.
@@aziegames512 Hypothetically speaking, Iris is 8 in 1890 or so, and AA1 canonically happens in 2015 so she'd be the oldest person on Earth :( But she could have met some of the protagonists as babies or kids maybe?
@@LucieOtter if we looks into age of Soseki Natsume, the game should takes place in end of 1899 (first case of first game) and in 1900 (all remaining cases of TGAA and TGAA2). So, she is 10 in 1900, so that means that her birth was in 1890, and to live until first AA game taking place she should live 126 years. That's really too much for any records. I can believe that she live 105 years for example (1890-1995) and possibly can meet little Phoenix (2-3 years old), so yes. But 126 years is too much as I can think
@@Mad_Man_With_A_Box To be fair, this universe does take place in a world where Japan and California are practically fused together and Attorney's could get their badges at ages younger than they realistically should. While I still don't think she could live that long by any *normal* means, I don't think it'd be too far fetched for Iris to come up with a way to live much longer than she should what with her knowledge of bizarre gadgetry. Hell as technology advances past the Victorian Era, that could prove to be even more possible with her intellect.
Everybody is trying to come up with ways for her to meet the original games cast. While I propose a more novel idea. A game set around the 1970s-80s. She’d still be old, but live long enough to see tech like the synthesizer
Spoiler for 2-5 > This theme uses synth, but that's way to modern for a victorian era-styled game, so we'll scrap that > This game takes place in victorian london, but whatever, let's have Holmes use holograms!
The only unused theme which I like more than the used one. That theme is really good but imo this sounds better. This theme just screams "SCIENCE ".But I get it why they didn't use it
Iris' theme was one of my least favorites beacuse of the choice of insturments and the other soundtracks. The unused version really doesn't fit the rest of the themes since if I'm sure there's not even a violin in this one. But it's overall cool to see it without the main insturments used in DGS.
If Iris were around in the 21st century this would totally be her theme
Good theme for those robots in DD, no?
Or ~60 year old Iris being a developer for EDSAC. The timeframe is about right.

i see why we didnt get this. this sounds a little too modern
yeah because of the 8bits and other instruments

@@optimaltt6070 I guess it'd be a way of saying she actually laid the groundwork for things in the modern-setting games, like Widget and Little Thief.
This is one of the only unused themes to sound very similar to the original
The chiptune is amazing btw
@Stealphie justice for all is the worst video game ever made.

Iris theme when DGS was a retro RPG
this would be iris‘ theme if she was in the mainline pw:aa games xD

theme =/= story
I mean Holmes and Iris were ahead technology wise before the hologram plot
I totally get why they didn’t use this, but I kinda like it more than the one they went with
Oh sweet melody for my ears =)
I need a extended version of this
Huh. What you can find in filesystems.
This seems like it'd fit a 'Missile - Ghost Trick'-esque character...
Or maybe pearls ?
Reminds me of super paper mario.
This theme fits for a pre-finalized concept art for Iris Wilson.
This feels like a Pokemon professor theme.
Iris not being the scientific V-tuber who happens to "document" all of Sholmes' adventures. XD

This is Phenix's new rington
prelude to iris wilson

Sounds like a beta version of Iris' theme
it kinda is

@@passmethesaltplease4175 Yeah, I'm not exactly sure but I think the violin plays in the backgroudn the whole time, it's just a bit hard to hear.
