So, you saying that van zieks voice isn't good enough?
@@adamryamizard5560 No, I'm saying it's really good! English is weird sometimes.
@@adamryamizard5560 mega's comment is a common phrase which insinuiates that there are simply too many compliments to give, so it can never be enough! or rather, compliments are not enough to praise the voice acting. hope that helps!
@@dearestdokja i see, thank you for the explanation.
Iris, Sholmes, and Barok's VA's did such a wonderful job! My favorite has to be Barok though, you can hear the pain in his voice.
Herlock’s voice is so satisfying, definitely my favorite :D
Its funny to hear van Zieks slowly morph into Scar during his voice clips
Gregson's hold it is really well done. Stands out for me.
Sholmes’ voice showed up sparsely that I ended up giving him Zeke’s voice from Xenoblade. In fact for all the British characters I gave em voices from Xenoblade.
Gregson also kinda sounds like the colonel from XC1
@@a.m.aworld2802 I gave Gregson Dickson's voice and then Gina inherited Nia's.
They missed a golden opportunity by not casting Damien Slash as Sholmes
@@a.m.aworld2802 Gregson’s ”Is that right?” Sounds more like Chelmey from Layton.
I did the exact same the first time I played through the fan translation of GAA1. I was really hoping they'd cast Zeke's VA for Sholmes and Nia's VA for Gina, I think they would have been perfect (and on the same note I wish Gina had more spoken lines, obviously).
IMO Sholmes' official VA sounds too serious for the character considering how childish and scatterbrained he is as a character, that's why I find him so similar to Zeke; he's immature and playful but he can also be serious (and even a good mentor and friend) when the need arises.
Couldn't forget Wagahai could you? I respect that.
Thanks for this again!
I really love how they went the extra mile and dubbed the unused voice clips and they're all so good!
thank you for compiling these, and with the subtitles and speech bubbles too! it’s a really helpful resource. it’s so fun to compare the english vas to the japanese ones. they all did so well. i have a really big soft spot for susato’s accent, though. as a whole though, the diversity in the accents is sooo damn good. thank you again for this video!!
3:32 just leaving this here to hear the beauty when i want to
Gina and Tusspells’s voices are waaaay deeper than I thought they should be. And McGilded sounds so old and sick, lol. I always reckoned he sounded more like Mr. Krabs. Graydon’s voice, though, is just *chef’s kiss*. Feckin heavenly.
Is such a same that of mikotoba's voice clips only was used the "Take that" they're all amazing.
yes, such a same…
I wonder why he had so many voice clips if the "Take That" was only used?
@@davisbowe8668 I guess they think dubbed all voice straight cost less time than categorize which voice is unused AND dubbed the voice after. Most of them just a speech bubbles after all.
In the additional content (I think it was in the digital art book) they mentioned that case 2-1, the one with Ryutaro and the murder of A. Shin, was originally intended to have Mikotoba as the defendant. They ended up changing their mind since they felt like an all male, all adult cast (except Susato, but even then she was pretending to be a man) wouldn't be as fun, and made the defendant Susato's childhood bestfriend instead. Maybe that's where the additional lines were going to be used! But it IS still a bummer that papa Mikotoba was the only character in the series finale that didn't get a VA to say his goodbyes. It's so unfair ://
YOUR WORK ELI!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!! i love it!!! (also god bless i love the english voices in this game. they did so well considering the pandemic as well!!!)
WEH WEH THANK YOU ASTER!!! cri!! 😭😭😭😭😭💖💖💖💖💖💖
they doing recording session from their house actually due to pandemic as you can see from Mark Ota instagram post
Harebrayne's (or mr dobinbough, whatever you wanna call him) voice is perfect.
I could only see half of my screen at the time so when Ryunosuke's line of "It's an animalistic desire to take down my prey!" played And I only saw the smolest cutest mouse in the world I went 'Aw... baby!" XDD
I love the animal mascots so much
Well, he's not joking when he said that he's a mouse compare to stronghart.
Shrewnosuke
@@yashk3904 what is a "shrew"?
@@adamryamizard5560its a small animal, similar to a mouse
@@theducksarecoming I see now, thanks for the explanation, man.
The growl and rasp in van ziek's actor's voice 💕
0:40 Yep, that's definitely in the promotional art. In-game, it appears after Brett destroys evidence, giving him newfound determination to prove his innocence
I feel like Gregson's "Hold It!" is the most satisfying voice line in the game.
Strange. Shamspeare has a voice for his 'Hold it!' but its not used when he says it
(when he first appears on the stand)
I wonder why
It is strange, same as Iyesa
I love how they have their actual accents
I can't imagine how many times the actors must have flubbed and used Sherlock' s actual name by accident.
"Guill Tea!"
"No Guill Tea!"
*_*Guilty_** / Not **_guilty_*
Simply the best english dub in an AA game
I don't understand why Gina only has _one_ voice line throughout both games, despite being a major character.
Glad you kept Wagahai at the end, she's very important
6:59: Ashley Graydon’s “What’s this?” was music to my ears oml 😭💓 after hearing it, my skin cleared, my crops flourished, grades never better 😭☺️ does anyone know when he says this in game??
Edit: turns out it’s unused, which is a shame :( won’t stop me from playing this over and over though lol
I deeply appreciate his (british?) accent! Give a bit of realism since he is supposed to speak british english X3
I absolutely love Naruhodo accent! Accent truly punctuate the way we speak.
Usually people are annoyed when they hear heavy accents, but I absolutely love it! There's so much history in people voice💕
5:02 => I finally found his english "Hold it!" Speech bubble! *Yes!*
•7:32 => Is just me or does Yujin Mikotoba's "Objection!" sounds like Simon Blackquill's?
low key mikotoba's "Take that" sounds like edgeworth
thanks again, their voices are beautiful lol
(love the more japanese sounding accent given to susato lol)
iris sounds like uh, suzy sheep from peppa pig lmao
Back in my day only attorneys got voice lines. Now they're handing them out like candy!
Ryunosuke sounds the most British for a Japanese man
Yeah because
1. He's speaking British English
2. He learned English from a British man
That's why Susato has a thicker accent
@@ryanm8529 I know???
@@ryanm8529 Who did he learn British from? Wilson?
@@Hayawii probably. We just know that he was taught by an English man.

Unrelated to the voice acting, but I just love all the little animal mascots as well ❤️
8:04 the best voice clip
"hguilteagh"
Man, if only this game was voiced acted as much as Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright. That was such a good balance ^^
Susato’s voice is so good, im glad they actually got japanese voice actors their japanese british accents are perfect
i can only hope for full voice acting in the far future
The decision to make Bruce Fairplay Australian was a very good one
He's from fucking _Bendigo._
RYUNOSUKES VOICE IS SO GOOD OMG
Omg amazing job!! Thanks for this because I was really looking for it 🥰 it’s a great cast, I like their voices so much
uwaaa i always love voice compilations for my favourite games!! this was excellent!
Tone down the racism Van Zieks
"It is toned down..."
Oh...
i just realized...bruce fairplay says "strewth". he wants it to be a "fair dinkum" trial, and even mentioned he went down under.
bruce fairplay has been to my homecountry of australia and that makes me happy that theres SOME aus representation in this game even if not much
8:08 he's so calm about it
4:06 god im fucking gay
2:36 Prepare... for a séus-A-TOH TAIK DAOON! HIYYYYYYYYYYAH
My favorite part of Barok von Ziek’s section is when he just gets mad! Gahahahaha!!!
I just noticed that susato's "objection!" Speech bubbles is different to each other
Just listen the one at 7:02 and the one at 2:11.
i noticed that too
This happen in the japanese version to btw it's probably do it by porpouse

And Harebrayne’s voice is so shrill lol. Love love LOVE that he says ‘Great Scott!’ though!
Barok's VA is the same for Estinien in FFXIV.
Guess we know what he was doing when he was off-screen in Shadowbringers lol.
Now I'm just imagining Estinien shouting objection with Orn Khai on his shoulder looking haughty lol.
After reading this, I couldn't stop imagining that lol
Almost 10 minutes of perfection
The dub is beautiful.
I especially like Barok's voice. It sends shivers down my spine. As it should.
6:30 Hold it!
Harebrayne's "Hold it!" scared the shit out of me the first time I heard it.
Yeah, it startled me too!
I love the sheer amount of characters that get to scream “Hold it!” I hope we have more random one off interjection shouts from characters in the future games. (Would love full voice acting too)
Ooh really nice video, you beat me to this (I hope you don't mind if I finish mine). I couldn't find Sholmes's and Kazuma's "Take that!", so I assume they're from some DGS 2 DLC that's not included in Chronicles?
Of course, go ahead! And nope, I tried looking in multiple folders but I couldn't find them. Sad that those two weren't ported.
So, it wasn't used after his return in TGAA 2? Since he was against Ryunosuke at that point
The future Ace Attorney games should have full voice acting, not just the anime cutscenes.
Thank you for your hard work
The Sholmes VA tho...
Like damn
Its amazing
Ryutaro’s objection is the best behind og phoenix
THIS IS SO GOOD
7:32 Hey.. That sounds like Blackquill!
And his "Take that!" Sounds like edgeworth.
@@adamryamizard5560 it does lol
Iris Wilson and Van Zieks voice is soo good!
I only heard Van Ziek's voice on the reveal in TGAA 2 (And the only reason I know about THAT is because I'd heard about Asogi's return)
6:06 That is literally just Payne. But not Payne.
2:02 This one turned out to be exactly right as far as the entire AA series goes. Naruhodo vs Auchi leads down to EVERY Wright vs Payne trial, and the annoying trial-run brothers (pun intended) _never_ pull out a win against the Wright family.
My headcanon is that asogi actually put a curse on Auchi here ensuring they’d never win against the naruhodos and the sword swing was part of the ritual lol
