    Hi. It's me Peter, the one who's commented on your pool videos. I know how it feels to be in the hospital. I'm actually in a Strker inTouch bed, in the hospital. This bed plays classical music or nature sounds through the rails on my bed. There are speakers in the rails. I'm in the hospital due to respiratory problems. I've been here for a few weeks now. Hopefully going home in the next week or so. My lungs have gotten a lot worse. But Yeah, I'm very familiar with those call button/remotes.

      Hey Peter, yeah I know about your issues. I hope you are feeling well enough to leave the hospital soon. Those are some fancy beds with that stuff built in. Wife works in the hospital, she tells me about all the problems they can experience and how they have to call the maintenance department to fix it. Sometimes the bed stops working entirely and has to be taken down to the shop, and the patient transferred to another bed, but that's rare. It's quite interesting all the stuff that's built into it to make it work, hydraulic pump and valves and motors and all kinds of electronics to run them.

    The Call Bell remote I had when I had to spend a month in the Hospital, looked just like that one. The volume didn't go up as loud so I kept it on my chest while lay there to hear it. Not many good channels on those tv's so I brought my dvd player to hook up to it. It was a late 90's Magnavox crt tv.

      This one is just pure LG junk!

      +jaykay18 Yeah, I saw how "accurate" it is when you tried to turn it back on. That's why I say LG = Low Grade. They make wonderful bearings in their a/c units. You oil them. The bearings tear up.

    U should have pressed for the nurse and said you wanted a cup of water

      I was not allowed to eat or drink anything so I wouldn't have gotten it.

    The call bell has a button for when your in pain

    • @jaykay18
      @jaykay18  2 года назад +1

      That's all fine and good until it DIDN'T WORK because the plug fell out of the wall. Fortunately, the hospital phone worked, so I called the front desk and told them it wasn't working. They called the unit, sent the nurse in, and then we found out. Good thing I still had my wits about me, otherwise I'd possibly have been in real trouble.

    I hate how they put the sound of the tv through the remote. It would sound a little better if it came out of the tv itself.

    • @jaykay18
      @jaykay18  2 года назад +1

      It's for privacy to other patients in the same room. Quite honestly, I think your health would be a bit more important than how poor the TV sounds.

      Call for the nurse, she'll see to it that it gets fixed promptly. They usually have people in-house for these types of issues.
