My son was filming when I lowered the jack and the tires first touched the ground. May sound cheesy to some, but you could really feel that moment in the air as a milestone. Was glad he was there to share it.
don't know if it's my connection, but starting at 9:20, the audio gets kind of flakey, with some of it out of place, and overlapping other audio. Wanted to let you know in case it's not just me. Again, great video. I look forward to your progress every week.
Damn! My final edit is perfect. Something weird happens when it gets uploaded to RUclips anytime you have even one clip that is sped up in the edit. In this case its a 2 second scene of the rear wheel that’s messing up the entire end. I hate that it only happens after uploading it. Apologies… I guess I just cant ever speed up or slow down any more scenes… its not the first time this has happened unfortunately.
Its perfect. Sitting exactly how I envisioned. The spring collars on the coilovers are minimally turned up about 1” of thread showing out the bottom which means I can still go down another inch, although I dont want to; I love the stance, plus my header collectors and trans pan are about 5” off the ground. Im comfortable right there but would feel nervous going lower. If anyone wanted to go lower than where it is now (like laying frame on the ground at car shows… you’d have to start looking at air ride. All in all, everything fits perfectly, stance is killer, plenty of clearance with wheels etc. check out a couple of my shorts to get a better Idea. ruclips.net/user/shortsaPVIanAl6-Y?si=0KvV3DvzJ0aAmeQn ruclips.net/user/shorts3apm7acXvwk?si=gz9Cv6RdBLn4a2us
@@intheshoptv Awesome, thanks for the response! Just got done fitting up a 8.8 on my 58 apache. Next step is the font ifs kit to bring the front down...hoping the 2" drop makes the truck sit pretty level. I just set the rear axle on top of the springs and c notched it, 4-link will be down the road.
@@Jnorris88 You’re welcome. Sounds like an awesome build! Depending upon how low your truck sits, be careful ordering one of the 4 link “kits”.. most of them are decent quality but they are typically designed for not much deviation from stock ride height. Check out my video about that - it explains (and shows) what Im saying in much better details ruclips.net/video/9sRNEAYTxJI/видео.htmlsi=4EUT1-nngYJNBNS6
Here’s the playlist for all videos on the rear axle!

Mike, I bet it felt great to see it sitting on the tires for the first time, all the choices and changes worked well together.

How are the 2" drop spindles sitting in the front? How is the clearance and overall look?
