Judy, you should read the Pia M Manansala murder mystery books. She's a Filipino writer, and her books are Filipino and food-themed. The first book is Arsenic and Adobo. They're very fun and light-hearted, though still keeping me on my toes. Hope you enjoy it!
I was just about to recommend this too! There are 4 books in the series and I just finished Arsenic & Adobo and I can't wait to read the others!

I’ve been a subscriber since the twins’ birth, always have been a silent subscriber but now, I want to thank Judy. I was having a hard time eating bc I just lost my dearest grandmother and can’t eat. This vlog calmed me and was able to eat now. Thank you so much for all that you do. 😊

Judy just make sure you use distilled water ONLY for the ice maker
What brand was the ice maker? I need one.
Why?
Because regular water will rust the machine. As a matter of fact it will stain the plastic parts. When I bought mine I decided to use it with regular water few times. When I bought the distilled water and removed the left over water in the machine I had to clean all of the parts because within days some of the parts started rusting. I've known of people that decided to throw their machine because they blamed the quality instead of using distilled water.@@chelseychacko
I love Friedrich Bachman's (spelling?)books! "My grandmother told me to tell you she's sorry" "Brit Marie was here" "A Man called Ove" and "Anxious People". I haven't read "Bear town" yet. . It's on my list. He makes you laugh, cry and reflect ❤

I love, my opal ice machine I’ve had it for over five years. My son bought it for us for a Christmas gift. It’s so yummy to always have good ice. You will love having that kind of ice just make sure that you use purified water or make sure it’s filtered because it will make your ice machine run better. Sweetest family♥️. Have a blessed day. For the ice maker I believe it's actually stainless steel and the blue is just a protective plastic if you wanted to remove it. Unless you like the blue I actually think it's cute 🤣

Bought the GE opal ice machine as my babies gift when she turned 1 in July lol she loooves nugget ice. Almost went with that model. And it's great for her teething too! We use it every day definitely worth it!
You should read outlander, it's a very good read that you can't put down, because it's that good, if you like fantasy about time travel.

It's about a FilAm baker in her mid-20s whose auntie owns a Filipino restaurant and gets caught up in local murder cases. Since it's cozy mystery, it's more fun than intense. And it has recipes for the food featured in the books. It totally fits your vibe.
I did the same thing with my dishwasher I lived in my apartment for months before I realized the blue plastic was still on it haha

Hi Judy I read a complete escapist book recently when I realized I hadn't fully read a book in FOREVER! I can totally relate. The Housemaid by Freida McFadden. By no means a Pulitzer Prize winner but just something to get caught up in😊

I recommend "Not a Fan" by Kyle Idelman !! Such a great and easy to read book. Really opens your eyes to what's important. 100% recommend
