Great video.. I got all mine from Home Depot and oddly it was in the shelving section, no where near tools. So anyone looking try there and they have almost everything offered. I spent like $250 and now my stuff is well organized.
And they do have a different wider wall mount that is not what you have in the video, it is basically three single sections and does have 16" gap for studs, Part #48-22-8487. This is more for the shop over a vehicle.
Yes the triple wide is exactly that. I didn’t purchase one because I didn’t need it. Three single mounts in one piece.
I appreciate this review. Not much info on youtube for these products. It's the little things you covered like how the 2 plates don't really match up together and the mounting holes not being 16 OC.
You would think they would be kinda backwards compatible with their older product line but I guess that wasn’t possible 🤷
Outstanding review, thanks for this!
Yes, the uneven M12 to M18 bugs me as well and I knew exactly where you were going when you started mentioned what bugged you.
I’m glad I’m not the only one that is annoyed by that
Will these plates hold the big rolling box in place as well??
As far as I know the rolling cart does not have a way to clip onto the plates. The bottom of mine is completely flat.
Excellent video... I bought the crate & mounting plate combo, but the plate doesn't fit inside 24x18 wire shelf.... was about to dremel an inch off each corner...
There’s so much extra plastic around the edges. Seems like something doable. I don’t think you would need to worry about compromising the strength of it.
@@pinerowfurniture thought the same, but want to keep it clean... also thought of a heat gun.... already found these compact plates online at Home Depot, will need to drive to my 2nd nearest store later on today.... organizing garage and want to finish today....
do you have a video of. your van setup?
I have a video of the storage rack I made for my van. Check out my channel and you find it. I uploaded that prior to this video.
That unevenss of the battery holder made my head hurt ohh man
Hey is this milwaukee batteries holder works on dewalt or diferents batteries?
I don’t have an answer for that. I can say that there might be a chance. I know adapters exist for DeWalt batteries to work on Milwaukee tools. I don’t know if it would fit without the adapter.
Will this work with ryobi tools/batteries and dewalt or is only for milwakeee?
There are a few people who are selling adapter kits to make it compatible with various brands. If you do a quick google search I’m sure you can stumble across something that may work for you. If I see something I’ll add a link to the comment.
4:44 the most annoying part is the bottom M18 battery may sit lower than the wall plate if you were using it for a 12.0ah big battery.
I was just checking out your channel. You do some interesting work for sure. Based on views though I think your lane might be Milwaukee Pack out reviews! lol
I appreciate the feedback. I purchased the Milwaukee plates and battery holders for storage in my work van but didn’t expect it to be so popular of a video. People do love review videos it seems.
Can I add wheels to the compact plate?
It’s primarily intended to be wall mounted. There is enough material around the outside that you could modify it by drilling holes to mount wheels. Alternatively you could attach the plate to a piece of plywood and put the wheels on the plywood.
The unevenness of the battery racks bugged the hell out of me, so I bought the bigger plate and now I have the tool station and two battery rack’s on each side 😅
That's one way to fix it!
That would bug me too!! 🙈
really dude
Really what?
