Crewe Station Train Spotting | Incl: Sir Nigel Gresley | 18th September 2024

A fairly busy midweek Wednesday at Crewe Railway Station in Cheshire, as the highlight train is "The Welsh Dragon" charter hauled by A4 Pacific 60007 'Sir Nigel Gresley' from Holyhead to Crewe.
We start at Derby then taking an EMR train to Crewe and then head to platform 12.
The A4 then heads to Crewe H.S. and the charter train gets taken over by two Class 37 diesel locomotives for Cardiff. Soon after, 34046 'Braunton' builds up steam at Crewe H.S. before it catches up with the Welsh Dragon train towards Wales.
We also see all the other tractions old and new at Crewe Station, we also see shunting movements of 'Blue Peter' which failed the previous day on a test run.
