Storytelling is one of the things I recommend to all parents. I'm thankful that my grandmother not only told me stories but when she finished she would ask me to tell her a story. Children are usually open to it and it's a great way to start getting them to develop a useful life skill.

Hey Justin and Jen. My passport expires in December and I will live-stream shave my eyebrows for the 1k. The plus side is with an ugly passport picture I might not be able to land a normal job in Europe and will be forced to take the next step with my carbon fiber luggage startup. I just posted a video showing my luggage prototype and, more importantly, the brows.
Huge thanks to you and Jen for putting out these videos. It feels like you’re always speaking directly to me. Your advice on not perfecting the product is what made me decide to go forward with this post and video.

$925 would go towards building a basic app instead of using IFTTT. $75 to file a provisional patent.
I have no clue how to build an app, so I figured out how to use IFTTT to prove my idea works. It does. I already made a physical working prototype and I'm teaching myself blender so I can build a refined 3d printed version of it next. The $1000 would help me get the idea from my head, out into the real world in a usable way.

I'd use the $1,000 to get a silver play button. Started in 2008 and still don't have one. Really want one before RUclips decides to stop sending them out. Would do an unboxing video of the $1,000 and try to get more subs with that content. Then would do a giveaway with the $1,000 so it's like paying forward your strategy for getting more subs, to get more subs, and would in turn get you more subs too. If all that fails, I'll just use the $1,000 to buy an unofficial silver play button.

One of my ideas has been to organize an amazing tournament, but sadly I don't have the revenue to work with at the moment. So if I were to win that 1000, that's where it would go, a kick-ass tourney that would produce amazing content for the Hearthstone community :)

    Hi Justin,
every time a new video is uploaded, the first thing that I check is your hair😁😁. They seem to grow older and older every time you upload😆😆. Jokes aside, I’m enrolling myself in a coding Bootcamp; there was a scholarship available that would pay the whole course, but that entire scholarship has been maxed out, and I’ve been put into a waitlist with no guarantee. I was thinking of paying by out-of-pocket expense, but cash is a problem, so If I were to receive your $1,000. Not only would I look into an anti-aging hair care routine, but also invest the rest into my coding boot camp expenses.
    Cheers!

I really need the money to deworm my dog. You see, we all love dogs. From Chiwawas to Saint Bernards, we want them to live a happy and playful life. Unfortunatly my Golden Doodle cannot live that life due to some restrictions at my local park. Giving me 1000 dollars will not only deworm my dog, but allow him to have social interactions with his kind, make new friends, and ultimatly make all the other dogs at the local park happy. So celebrate my poor Golden Doodle's life through the freedom of social interaction at my local park!

I'd use the $1k to build a Pumpkin Cannon on my family's farm, for our annual Fall Festival! : D
Then I want to take all the older pumpkins that we can't sell and charge people $5 to fire them off in the cannon. Pretty confident I could sell at least 200 pumpkins and could make that $1k back easy ;)
I've been wanting to do this for a while but the materials are pretty expensive. I've built a potato cannon before but obviously needs to be a lot bigger for pumpkins lol!

I’d use the $1000 for my startup. We plan to offer a wide range of extracurricular activities to children in schools. We currently have 5 schools doing fencing, and we’re looking to increase that number, before expanding into different sports and activities.
Currently, we’re looking for funding towards purchasing kit. This will allow us to target more schools, and give more students the opportunity to take part in sport.
Loving all the content, much love from London! 🇬🇧🤺

I have been kicked out by the company I worked for 10 years under the corona pretense. It is very difficult for me with my educational level to find a job in the direction I want to go. So instead of going through the frustration day in and day out, I decided to start my own company. One part being focused on esports/streamer network/learning through gaming and esports courses, and the other being a massive project, and being the first in EU with no solid proof of concept to show in front of investors or anyone really, so those $1000 would go towards the capital for this project, a project that is innovative and creating a new style in the area I am going for. I do not want to let my wife and daughters down, so going this high risk path, is scary and full of uncertainties, but I thought to myself, rather to it than regret not even attempting it at all.

I started my own startup in tech. Talented developers / Designer / Product person (me). We failed because we cannot find business/projects to build apps or software products. Spent close to more than 1k starting the LLC, google suite, contract software, insurance, but NO business. :(

hi Justin, great initiative! 🤩 I'd use the money to buy the ticket for the WebSummit in Lisbon (€900)! I can't afford to pay for the ticket myself, and it could be a great opportunity for networking and meet new people in the tech community during such an important event in Portugal. Omg, it would be fantastic!

Not entirely sure what I want anymore. I am currently a junior in college trying to find cs internships. I feel pressure to get into a big company and it’s my goal but I can physically feel the burn out. Fortunately, I have a start up offer and I am not sure whether I should quit wasting time applying everywhere and preparing for interviews or just start working part time.

I'd spend the $ getting a tooth extraction as well as financing initial marketing and setup costs for residential management software (already built, only thing pending is setup/service costs). Also with the software up and running, I create one new job.

I Could use the money because im sitting at home thinking about my desperate situation im in because of family related stuff, about the relationship i just ended with my ex and what to do with my life.
to be honest i dont really want the money that much. i would love to just talk to someone whos life isnt drastically going downhill. I Just cant find a start to taking steps away from the people really messing with my head and doing something that makes sense. Id love to just talk about psychology, which i would love to start studying just to actually do something positive already. And the biggest thing i want is a happy mum and sister, which is kind of hopeless since my dad is an alcoholic who is really being destructive.
just starting to get by after having experienced the worst time of my life. i really cant keep ignoring my own emotions and i would just love to hear what you would say.
But anyways, i originally wanted to tell you that you talking how psychedelics effected your way of going through life was really good to hear. I had a similar experience, but with shrooms a few weeks ago. Í have a really messed up life rn but its really only about my dad who terrorized me my whole life and now is starting to rip apart the last bits of our ''family life' without thinking about the amazing family he used to have.

As part of the Feynman technique of learning, I plan to start a RUclips channel to teach programming (in our native language, Filipino) from what I have learned in class as a first-year BS in Computer Science student. $ 1000 could leverage that plan of action (maybe buy a decent microphone, and camera, lights, and such). Good luck to everyone's participating!

I'm pretty sure that I will look pathetic saying this but that amount of money will be a life changer for me. I live in a 3rd world country, earning $18 per day, working 5x per week with bills to pay, only eating boiled egg and instant food to somehow survive.
If I somehow win, I'll treat my family to a good and healthy food. Then save the rest of the money to somehow get myself out of the sh*t hole that I am in.
