Hello Red Hot Chili Peppers fans! How do you like the sound of my drums through the microphones? I'm very excited about using all this new equipment, testing, playing, enjoying, learning! Would you like more frequent updates of my process? Follow me on Facebook and Instagram: @TJDrumsRHCP
I'm not a drummer but I can imagine the satisfaction of hearing your own "proper" drum mix for the first time! Great sound and playing. I'm looking forward to listen to your drums with a whole band :)
Thank you Timon, yeah I immediately noticed it helped me stay in time with the music, I could hear more details in my own drumming and the sound of the drums are clearer, because through hearing protection most of the high frequencies are lost. In the future I might talk about my experience starting (and losing) my RHCP tribute band, I might share some recordings I made with them but I don't know when. We'll see :)
That was a beautiful cover, man. The clarity of the sound of your drums was something else. Crystal clear audio. I also love how you made some adjustments on the fly without even breaking the groove... you're amazing, dude. I really enjoyed it! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
thank you very much Dani.. yeah the production quality is now kicked up a notch. I also have an overhead camera now, making sure I always have good clear coverage as well! Regard the adjustments, as long as a drummer keeps hitting the kick and snare pattern, it won't throw off anybody else. This is the real reason why man was made with two hands! :)
@@TJDrumsRHCP The change in quality is definitely apparent, man. I mean, I've always enjoyed your videos but now they're gonna be on another level. I'm gonna check out your new video with the overhead cam soon... that sounds epic. And hahahha I totally agree on the 2 hands comment. I think the same can apply for a bass player if open strings are in tune with the song... otherwise you're pretty much screwed 😂✌️
What an improvement Thjis! Awesome camera and lights work. Drums sounds outstanding, i really love the snare sound, it takes me back to 2007 abbey road and Chorzow. Rock on!
Thank you Mauricio.. this drum recording setup is a long time in the making and a dream come true! The snare sound that I was aiming for is indeed the most commonly used 2007 tour snare, the Jimmy Chamberlin signature :)
Awesome playing man 🤩, you've improved A LOT (technically and timingwise). I love the new lights and camera quality. Can't wait for new videos! Just a question: are you going to upload these kind of videos in instagram too? Cheers 😎
Hi Luca, thank you very much! Yeah I'm very excited about the new look and sound too. There will be new videos coming for sure. I should post more video and audio content on instagram, sometimes I just skip that step because it takes more time than just posting the thumbnail. But eventually, yes, more video will go to instagram too!
@@TJDrumsRHCP yes, the downside of posting on Instagram is that it often takes more time. Also, the copyright system is very different than the one on RUclips: while on RUclips, If you post a cover and the algorithm detects it, you can often still have your video online without it being removed (but without earning any money yourself), while on Instagram you have to lower the Song volume in order for the bot not to the detect it. Anyway, jeep up the good work!
@@lucasacchetti5092 yes you're right, so far in my experience if I posted anything with RHCP music the whole video gets muted. That is why I have posted drums only material before, and I could do that more. Thanks for your support!
@@drumman190 I think it's really cool you got to interview Kenny Aronoff, I didn't like him playing in Chickenfoot as much as Chad Smith, but he's a very interesting and inspirational person, thanks for sharing that conversation.
