I really enjoy this site. Kevin has money and is not affraid to break things where we might be. Even with that he is down to earth and really explains things so well. Great ambassador to the hobby. Wish I was closer to be able to bash with him and the crew.. One of the better RUclipsrs out there

I don't think that was offroad? I've done 103mph on a dry lake bed and I believe nobody has gone faster than that yet off-road. Tires are definitely the biggest challenge for offroad at these speeds.

Man that's a insane speed i got a 1/8 truggy that's geared to do 60mph off road at the max and almost impossible to drive. Awesome to see the build and you post videos regardless if you goal is achieved . 100mph+ is crazy speed even on road. The long jump is gonna be epic

Ha! You riding it at 100? Electric skateboards go about 15 mph. The purpose of the skateboard is the strength of it for the insanely long wheelbase. That helps keep power to the ground.

Have you ever thought about putting a gyro in your rear wheel drive cars on your steering servo it helped me out a lot with my Jato 3.3 when I made it off-road

Granted. I've only known aircraft, hydrofoils, motorcycles, snow machines, jetskis, R/C aircraft, cars and hydroplanes. And, my own Savage 25 R/C truck. Which does about 50, in foot tall grass.

I'm assuming that you've got non-stop video of the car from the time you set GPS to the time you checked that it broke 100mph. I can't imagine Guinness Book calling anything a record without that at the very least. I suspect that they won't accept it in any case but it's cool that you've the "unofficial" record.

I h8 the Gnss app for the SkyRC GPS reader it's glitched out like 30 of my runs it will not save them. So annoying
So really you didn't do it in my opinion sure with no body on it it's so streamline it's just a snowboard with with wheels. To say you did it ,it needs the Body. So I say it was still a fail

Have you thought about maybe wrapping some kind of thread… Kevlar or something strong… around the OUTSIDE of the tires between the knobs? It only has to last for a few runs and that would keep the tires from expanding out so far ?

101mph on bumby grass is impressive whatever the RC car... let alone a RC snowboard :D :D At a certain speed the RC car starts floating over the grass, while not touching the ground, which makes is damn hard to go any faster. I think Kev just found the answer..... more weight, bigger size... and offcourse, as usual, MOOOO POWAAAAH :D

Are you talking a full size mile at 100 mph or are you talking a scaled down 100 mph for the size of the vehicle and the wheels that thing is probably going, what three times that, it's more like 300 miles an hour I'm just guessing. After all those small little tires have to make more revolutions in a standard tire yeah I know I'm pointing out the obvious but I'm just bringing that to mind
