I've used this setup before, and had good success with it. I learned it by accident, and not as clean. This is great, and will help. Thanks!

I was literally watching a basic arm bar vid before class the other day and they kept pulling their arm back in when i rolled with them. Cant wait to use try this. Thank you.

A buddy was showing this to me just the other day. I love the switch-up on the leg grip in case of stacking defense. That's a great refinement of the technique.

I'm a new subscriber, but have been watching your videos for a while as they pop up on my feed periodically. Just decided to hit subscribe, because you have consistent content, seem very respectful, and overall have a great attitude for the youtube platform. Wish you more success for the upcoming year. My name's Jason by the way :)

This is brilliant. My armbars are okay from everywhere else but trash from guard - I have been loving the Pendulum sweep lately though, but never made the obvious connection! can't wait to try this out.

Why do people always do cross armbar? As in they always grab the right arm of the opponent and swing to the left side. Would grabbing the left hand swinging to the left side also work?

  • @alexalvarez4524

I sometimes use the gi sleeve on the triceps to hold that arm. Usually they don't know there is an armbar coming. 😁

This looks alot like the standard judo arm bar from guard. works really well if you end up on your back and flow into it like you're trying to defend the pass.
