Wasn't that the most amazing thing that his son Darcy was captain of Collingwood and IS a premiership player a feat his dad could not achieve. Go Pies 2025.....
how incredible when mike asks peter moore about his 16 year old son drcy.... "how does his future look he asks his dad... well let me tell you with the benfit of hindsight... he is the collingwood captain, all austrlian centre half back of the decade.... wicked!!!!
My memories of this guy was when I was a kid asking for an autograph out at Windy Hill one day and he just totally snubbed me. From that point onwards I lost all respect for the guy to whom I idolised.
@@000michaelb000 I guess that sometimes that people let fame go to their heads. Another time was trying to take a photo of Greg Williams at Grand Final training in 1993. Just because he was running late, he became an arrogant prick to me, so I didn't take the photo.
I have similar memories and its only with time and perspective that I've taken things less to heart. Case in point, we were outside of training at Kardinia Park in the early 90's, autograph hunting at the gates as players arrived. Gary Ablett Snr ignored practically everyone, signing a single autograph for a girl. Arrogant f'ing prick was my view of him as I grew up. In hindsight, the bloke was dealing with mental health problems, working in a pressure-cooker environment where he was under heavy scrutiny, continously being harrassed and abused, all while raising a young family. Not easy for any bloke to deal with. Gaz would have hundreds of people asking for his autograph each week. I can totally understand why he snubbed most of us kids that day. Who wants to go to footy training on a cold and wet night in Geelong (or anywhere else) and have snotty-nosed shits impeding you, resisting the urge to back-hand ones making smart-ass comments? Anyway, sorry for the wall of text.
Peter Moore should have said my son will be handed the Premiership cup in September 2023 as a Premiership captain.

A remarkably good player. Any team would have given a left nut for him.
Absolute superstar in his day was Peter Moore at Collingwood .Champion player superb skills .
Excellent interview.
I've just leaned that I can like and respect a Collingwood player.
Bloody champ.

Would of been a greater story if he had of remained at the Magpies for the 1990 premiership
What year did he retire?
How I hate Collingwood, but it gives me membership into Australia’s most popular club.
He was and still is a legend of the game.
Overrated Collingwood player, became an overrated, overpaid Melbourne player.
You obviously aint a Collingwood supporter......
