The "rotate ruler 90° icon was removed in the last update. You have to double tap on the ruler for the rotation, but this does not work as consistently as the rotate button, so you may need to try several times. You also need to tap at the right rhythm and at the center of the ruler. The triangle tool still has the rotate button, however. Strangely enough, the triangle does not have a way to numerically add degrees, and it does not snap to 45° - but the protractor does have numeric input!
Mike Heacox good catch Mike!!! This button is actually on its way back into the app in the next update!! And an update to the Triangle is coming soon too. :) be on the lookout!
The adjustable triangle seems like an amazing tool 3:56 . This is just a tip based on my opinion to improve this feature. I suggest also adding a small dot/square or anchor next to the triangle (or maybe use an intuitive gesture) in order to adjust the angle, because it would make it a little more convenient to change the angle this way. I think this method would be helpful, considering that the user wouldn't have to take their eyes off the drawing by going to the top of the screen to adjust the angle of the triangle.
Also, why not rotate the triangle 90° by double tapping on it like you do with the ruler? 4:10

Hi sir...can you tell me how do I define certain line thickness for print out.....
@morpholio - I want to scale different layers to a uniform size to overlay a detail accurately... can I set the scale of each layer independently and move and rotate each layer to overlay one over the other? can't get it to work

Thanks for watching Ahmed! You can turn off "Assist" in the Super Ruler settings to draw free hand with the ruler on!

If you use the "Custom" set up from the project page, you can set your own scale!
How can i set dimensions for a house design of exactly 17 x 26 ft? I don’t want to use the ruler since i would have to eyeball the length. I just want to set the exact dimensions. How can this be done?

I cannot get the protractor to work. I open it, adjust the size, etc, but when I draw a circle around the edge nothing happens.
Well, other tools started to act strange, so I shut down the program -- not the ipad, just morpholio -- and restarted it, and now it works fine.
That's cool but sometimes I might have the measurements in mind before I create the drawing. It would be awesome if we could start with a measurement, such as the measurement for the door, and then have something to guide us in order to properly illustrate the rest of the drawing using correct measurements 1:05

But the gist of what I was saying in my comment is that I might have the measurements planned beforehand and I want the drawing to visually represent them in a way that makes sense. I'm probably not the most accurate artist, so the sizes of the objects I draw and their distance to each other might look off compared to the physical dimensions that I have planned. For example, I may decide that the length of a door is 7 feet, and I draw a line to represent that. Then I would want the length of the line drawn to be taken into consideration when I draw the next line to represent the width of the door, which is 3 feet. This means I would get a line that visually represents 3 feet. Then I would move on to the windows, which I've already decided the physical measurements for, but I need to accurately reflect them in my drawing. The app would use the first line I made (which was for the length of the door) as a guide to determine how long the lines should be in order to visually portray the windows with dimensions that look accurate to life. I hope this makes sense :)

1.) why do you use the portrait mode vs. plan/landscape view? This is not intuitive. Better videos need to be made, these are pretty amateur in quality. He goes too fast on each topic, then bounces all over the low res. screen. Hard to follow. 2) Think sheet size and scale, and then introduce scale grids and importing plans. 3) Think DRAFTING! Architects and designers are taught the fundamental skills of line weights, page/sheet layout. Line tool with various arrowhead options.
This seems to be a good app for rough conceptual drawings, especially with the stencil function, but not a CAD app - and that’s o.k.

I was under the impression that drawing with this app converted the drawing into 3D architecture.... I’m not seeing that with these tutorials, and I’m confused. You’re just drawing over existing plans.
Hi Griffly! Thanks for checking out our channel. So sorry that you got that impression! You can import 3D models and sketch on top of them. Trace is a sketching and drawing app, not a 3D modeling app!
I´m so bummed. I´m just starting my interior design business and I thouhgt I could draw a plan from scratch with morpholio. I´ve tried drawing floor plans from scratch but it´s so difficult without a tutorial. Any chance of helping us out with this please?. @@morpholio
Do you have a fixed scale for the stencils? For example, all of the stencils are scaled as 1:50 meters?
Hi Alyssa - thanks for watching! This is on our "to-do" list of features! For now, we recommend using the ruler to mark a scale and then resizing your stencil to get an accurate size!
