Love your videos man, but my wife (the infamous Veronica) would quite literally have a stroke if she was to win that new table you are working on 😂 (no need to worry i am a medical professional haha) I can’t express to you how much I hear your voice in my house everyday and I just want you to know that you’ve brought a lot of joy to us and that you are truly appreciated for all of your hard work. My wife and I are now starting our own little wood projects because of your channel. Thank you brotha. 🙏

As much as I like your builds, and they are fantastic by the way, you're filming and camera angles play absolute havoc with my head...... Other than that massive high-five to you.
Keep up the great work, pretty soon Cam will be referencing you and your work in his videos 🤘🤘
Take care, have a safe and happy New Year.

Dan, what a table AMAZING. I can't believe you have only 20k views. Honestly, it's the best and most beautiful table i have watched being made on RUclips. I am in Ireland. Would you consider making a table like this one and shipping it to Ireland. 💚💪

Just as a little Tip, put the top upside down and put the Legs over it, Its way easier to move the Legs and as a Bonus you can put some Clamps on it and directly drill and screw it on.^^

This is really really beautiful. I love the plastic sheet effect. It's so simple yet so pretty. It's a little over designed with all the different techniques and methods, but I'd LOVE to see a project fully focussed on just using the plastic technique and really push it to the max of it's capacity and let it be the only shining focus of the table!

Made a beautiful table. Good video as well. An optical illusion, looks like the middle of the table is being supported by by black metal structures like a bridge. The lighter color wood under the "bridge" plays a good part of the effect.

Try a pump sprayer instead of a spray bottle. The ones in the lawn and garden section of any box/home improvement store. You can even buy battery powered pumps to go with them. They’re relatively cheap, will give you more water with less effort, and you won’t have to worry about the pressure being too high.

It's great seeing these builds in a long form version. Thank you for that! Awesome work!
As for the "waves" on the bottom side, could you form them with the plastic on top of another piece of wood or something but glue it in place with epoxy or some other adhesive so that when you pour the tabel epoxy over it the "waves" will keep their shape and not flatten out? Just brainstorming.

  • @chadbutler6636

just a suggestion to try with a small pour, between the board and the plastic sheeting, use very fine sand (or possibly even dampened non shrink grout, to create a casted surface to reuse?}. the sand will help keep the contours, i believe. I take no credit for this method, I've seen it used in other mediums, and think it would work. just a suggestion maybe to try out.

If no one has done it before I would love to see you try the crinkled plastic look again. But, then fill it in with an opaque color. Follow that with flattening on the cnc then finish as normal. I think that would be a cool effect especially if there were both thick and thin crinkles. If someone's done this before and anyone knows of the video I would love a link. Thanks!

Your tables turned out nice, but the amount of time that you waste is mind boggling. For example, hand spraying out and cleaning the individual cracks with a qtip or filling the inside of your other table with a syringe. I’m watching and thinking oh my God why!
Take the table outside and hose off the grit in one second! Or spray it with water and then wet vac it out. None of this ever occurred to you?

    • @screamingdonkeywoodwork
      @screamingdonkeywoodwork  Месяц назад

There’s this thing we worry about with wood called moisture content. Because if you raise it with hardwood… the wood could warp. We did find a better way, but the amount of testing needed to be done for each new technique to avoid ruining a $10,000 is beyond “just spray it with a hose.”

@@screamingdonkeywoodwork that could be true but I never said you did. If you did you probably would have learned your lesson. Just said shopping at the mall and working in a wood shop are not the same. Wear sandals in a in a work shop is a silly risk. I think you know that.
I have never seen anyone get wacked in the head at the mall. That’s just childish analogy. Why don’t you just say you are a non-osha shop and don’t care about your feet. Man up.
