Almost 20 years ago, I was at this range and testing BARNAUL ammunition before becoming a distributor for them. How things have changed there! The range is barely recognisable - only the terrain in the background locates it. Concrete where there was grass and mud, shooting benches where there were timber pallets etc. However, the thrill of trying out the whole range of ammunition and Russian manufactured firearms was simply amazing. The hospitality of the staff there was truly something to experience; great bunch of guys. Oh, yes, the ammunition was great too. Cheers Yakov, Andrei, Sergei, Victor and all.

I think all Russian ammunition is good. Ulyanovsk is well made too like Barnaul.

Hi everyone, respect from Lithuania,i think they should consider made slightly enhanced amo, something like P+,because as i understand steel cases could hold higher pressures, and made it like trade mark like "magnum",because of the damage made to the world by all that rainbow crap agenda, there is demand of toughness in the market.

This isn't true for the most part. The limiting factor is typically the gun's chamber/barrel not the brass/steel case. Sometimes power is also limited by case capacity(especially with black powder, but also applies to a lot of smokeless powder with some cartridges).

Russian pistol ammo is generally very hot. The service pistol is made with steel frame to handle this whereas the civilian modell has plastic frame and thinner barrel.

@@redtra236 i think kalash can handle it. it's time for russian to find a next generation ammo

@@HOOMOOnsterfor now its hard for them to change to newer caliber. As long as they still able to spray their ammo like water to enemy they will not change that even 10 years for now they will be still use 5,45x39mm and 7.62x54r

Russia should make faster way to put bullet into magazine. Bullet/ammunition factory can make that tools free for each steel bullet box they sell especially for military customer. Also it's can sell separately.
