This is a very niche use (also great video) you can use Create or Destroy Water to make a pond for the Fathomless Plunge ability should your DM not give one for you. A little save point at the cost of one spell slot that lasts forever. Well unless someone comes and messes with your manmade puddle.
Yea I understand it can be creatively used, but I do think it faces competition with things like Hunger of Hadar and other concentration spells that a spell limited warlock might want to prioritize.
