I love everything about this cover. The rhythm deciphering, the AI, the Jens, the 'Reality' in the lyrics, the EQ. Simply nailed it, BRAVO from Denmark.
Thank you so much for your kind words, I appreciate it! I'm surprised you liked the EQ as well 😊 If I was to nitpick I would probably redo some lines because my Greek accent comes out in some areas 😜
Not only is this a really cool rendition, (great work btw.!), but it also helped my understading of Djent when you showed the rhythm patterns in that notebook of yours.
Thank you, I appreciate it and I'm glad it helped you. In most of Meshuggah's songs there is a pattern that repeats. For Agrimotor I could not find a pattern. Maybe it takes very long to repeat making it harder to detect.
@@leoplat8318 Hehe! I wonder if those guys sat back there sometime in the 90's and thought: "Hey, how about we write songs using a certain rhytmical pattern we decide on in advance over 4/4 that's going to fool people into thinking it's a bunch of weird time signatures?". :P Polyrhythm is interesting and I think there's some Indian influence there as well (rhythm-wise). Great work on making the vocals! Btw: do you find that you mess up your voice after screaming? Are you a melodic vocalist usually?
@@iseeu-fp9po I truly wonder how they managed to come up with these patterns in the 90s.. Back when computers where not as easy to access and work with. They could definitely be inspired by Indian music but I'm certain they are inspired by jazz fusion like Alan Holdsworth. Especially the guitar solos. I don't feel pain or distress after I'm done singing this style. Although I'd love to be a more melodic singer, I focus more on harsh screaming vocals. If you do it right, it should not hurt at all!
@@leoplat8318 I think they just experimented and came up with a process to involve this type of polyrhythmic elements in their music and that it happened somewhat gradually, but that's pure conjecture on my part. Yeah, I've also heard that Alan Holdsworth is a huge influence and I think one can hear that in their more mellow stuff too, as in the chords as well as the solos. It has that experimental "jazz feel" to it. At least to my ears. It's good that you don't feel any pain while singing like that; that probably means you've developed a good technique for the style. It certainly sounds like that! Strangely enough, Devin Townsend would describe his own technique as "screaming until I feel the taste of blood and I wouldn't recomment that for anyone" (or something like that). (Tea Time Interview with Elizabeth Zharoff here on RUclips). It was kind of strange hearing that from someone like him who's been doing it so successfully for so long. Anyway, rock on, dude! :)
That's an SM7B my friend. Many metal bands use this for vocals. Even Michael Jackson used it for Thriller. Joe Rogan uses the same mic on his podcast too haha.. Look at some bands behind the scenes videos. You'll definitely see the mic in the studio for vocals. Gojira uses it, meshuggah, cattle decapitation, so many bands It's an amazing mic but it needs alot of gain from a sound card for it to get a good sound.
@@leoplat8318 Yes, that's why I asked for the model, I see it everywhere in the making of albums of my reference groups 😁.. So thank you for your answer 🍻
Damn! You really did that same as Jens 🥹 Jens would be so proud
Thank you so much dude! I definitely went for that vibe!

I had to double take and look again, because for a second I thought you were Jens.
Hahaha that is nice of you to say thank you very much 😊
Banging as always! In the top 4 from this challenge easily!
Woah, thank you very much for saying that, I appreciate it!!
Jesus christ this was good
Cheers David, I appreciate it!
dude this is fantastic
Thank you very much, I appreciate it!
Fukn sick bro!!!! 🤘🤘🤘
Thank you so much Jason! I appreciate it
AI wrote these lyrics?! HOW, WHAT
Indeed! I did a few modifications just to fit the syllables but for the most part it's AI. The chorus that it wrote creeps me out!
