Mr. Kilcher. I wanted to let you know that your channel and the other family channels are an inspiration to most folks who hold God and family above all else. Thanks for continuing to produce videos of your lifestyle, they are always fun and entertaining to watch. From my perspective, your channel is better than the television version. I hope you continue to include us in your daily activities and your family. Be blessed.
I’ve tried to buy one recently and no stores in my area of Texas sells them anymore. I thought it would be perfect for a small part of grass by my back door
Your videos are so interesting, Otto! You are a wealth of knowledge, and you are generous to share it! You are Alaska’s finest! Love from Pennsylvania 💕🌷🐻
Otto keep taping these and putting them out here I love watching them. Between you and Elvin and EVe it is the best of Alaska The Last Frontier, so, thank you, all of you.
You Sir... are an inspiration - your work processes and philosophy are schooled on the ancient principles of the best you can... farmer style - all the while treating your equipment with respect and caring for all those around you!
I lost my dog yesterday morning in his favorite bed he just drifted away with me petting him. Never found out what it was after two different Vet clinics. I have nothing left holding me here. Ask Jewel if she wants to get married and go back to Alaska, she's only 5 years older than me, and I'm not a bad guy, I lived up there in spring of 2015. We had similar Dad's, I know that pain. Parenting is tough, I can't barely function and this was just my dog of 8.5yrs. Be careful Otto as you age, take a little extra time before hopping off the tractor ect to find your footing, don't rush and be safe. Take care Adam
My wife was more interested in the Grand narratives and stories that the TV show had. I find these youtube videos fit me so much better LOL. I was always interested in the finer details of how certain tasks were completed -- things we never saw on the show-- and now we're actually getting it, I love it!
Very nice OK, an old farmer I knew in Wyoming brought out his huge horses harnessed em up and cut fields of hay the old way. Folks from all around the County came by to watch take pics of how it was done from back in the days, cheers mate...
Thanks for another great episode of your life Mr Kilcher…love watching. Those plant based burgers can rot on the shelves, I’ll have me a great lump of beef any day thanks
Im an old carpenter so i appreciate how you go about keeping the equipment and farm going ! Always tell my wife i want Macgyver on the headstone when i go 🤣, those old tractors and implements were built to last forever with a little grease and love !
I love watching Otto! Reminds me of my youth in the farmlands in Pa. I wish he was my neighbor or close enough to experience all of his wisdom, tips and tricks advice
Your determination to tackle 1000 weed eaters in such a rugged and challenging environment is nothing short of impressive. It's a testament to your perseverance and commitment to maintaining the beauty and functionality of your space. Your hard work truly makes a difference, and it's inspiring to see such dedication in action. And I am Floating Village Life.
Just found your channel, like it a lot! Hello from Ireland!. I see you drag a mat to keep the swath away from the PTO. Brings back memories of having to cut off a huge ball off grass from the pto of a PZ mower we had, with a bread knife. .. Wound so tight it pressed in the release button and disconnected the shift.
When I was still in elementary, my dad was PE teacher. We lived next to a field. My friends would come over and dad would use scythe in a area in the field and play ball with us. He was pitcher. It was great he did that. Oh the memories
Otto love your videos... wife and I always watched you on TV and loved your name so we named our middle son after you. I also love seeing how you grease and oil all the joints, as I do exactly the same thing and people call me Mr. Oil can. I love trying to make my equipment last as I see you do. God bless you and your family.... keep the videos coming Studley.
warmest greetings from Pontassieve, province of Florence, Italy, Kircher family, I envy you for the courage you have in farming and raising horses, dairy cattle and beef cattle like the cow-calf line you are doing in Alaska! (I saw that your Kubota tractors look like the old Fiat tractors sold in the United States under the Heston brand!)
Alis Chalmers closed their factory on Hyde Park Ave in the Hyde Park section of Boston about 30-40 years ago, i can remember from when i was a kid. It’s a Charter School today. Actually now that I think about it, the large part probably production part of it burned down in the 70’s we got there just as all the widows in the place started shattering from the flames.
Folks who are curious about country stuff, will learn from you. If you really want a hood or fender we can get you both. But it looks like you are doing ok.
You made me chuckle. Sigh is what I used to call it because I would sigh when I had to use the sickle. Then I got a weed eater and now the sigh (ha! Ha!) Is hung on the wall.
I used a scythe to cut hay in an apple orchard, then we used a horse draw rake, next came a fork to make shocke last we put it on a wagon with a forke hauled it to the chopped hay barn. It made me hard and mean when abused in high school.
I remember as a young Man getting a chance to work on my Grand fathers farm in Kansas Haying time was my chance to drive the Ford n9 with a sickle and make a wapping .75 cent a Hour I would have done it for free I loved to cut Hay 80 acre fields we called it prairie hay and there was 1800 acre on his farm, thanks for the video bring back great the memroies.
Don't be so sure about the fake hamburger thing Otto. It sits in the supermarket until they have to throw it away. Absolutely nothing like real beef! Nothing!
We just purchased a half of a grass fed beef. The brisket was delicious. Our pig is also in the freezer. There’s nothing like quality meat. It’s less expensive than the store. It’s an investment, buy a freezer , then shelling out the money for the meat, but in the long run it’s better. I have never been able to find any research of the cost of grass fed beef vs feed lot beef. I’d be interested in the comparison. 💙
We run an old Ford 3000 & 5600 from the late 60's back when they over built tractors. Never had them over heat even when baling in 90 degree weather unlike dads Kubota, which is great but not made for a long hard day. Even had the plastic radiator break once. Anyway great video as always. So besides you & Eivan, anyone els have a channel?
When that feller told you "good enough isn't good enough", you could have answered "then it isn't really GOOD ENOUGH, is it? Some of us have HIGHER STANDARDS for good enough!".
I see it here in Ireland Otto a lot of farmer's and farm contractor's don't turn off the PTO and the baler would still be going and there at the front of the baler kicking the front moving parts trying to clear a blockage the next thing there boots or trouser leg gets caught they don't learn till it's too late and a good few had a change of everything from the waste down and they wouldn't be sticking there foot in when the PTO is running again
I would like you to get your wife's stuff on the show too like her flowers and stuff I've seen them one time a long time ago and they are so beautiful but it was only for a moment I like to see some stuff of your wife's anyhow thank you😊
@@thetexianpatriot2201Yup, I grew up in a small town in Vermont 50 yrs ago and I'm pretty sure to this day you can still send mail up there with just a name on it and it'll get to where it's supposed to go.

That mochine looks deadly to me
Some people call it a Kaiser blade, I called it a sling blade, uh hummm.
Cool as a Moose
It some times seems like it takes more Time to get the Equipment Ready to Operate than it does to actually Complete the Job. 🤔👍🙏
growing up we had three of those little Fiat (rebadged Allis's) 5040,5045,5050 4wd. they were all great on fuel .....

To the deaf man! 😅
Hay, is that AC 5050 gas powered? Is gas better to run in Alaska?
Well it's got injectors so I guess not.

Just send it to Kilcher Farm in Homer, AK. The post office knows who He is.
