      There are much more advanced prostethics in development already and people can apply to test them for developers which means they can use and live with the prototypes.

      @@Laerei having worked in the space I’ll say you’re right about advanced but wayyyy off about being anywhere near this arms toughness. Met with the best engineers at the biggest companies about it for that purpose.

      Thank you so much. I just wanna convey that I’m so injured my life expectancy is 20 years shorter but what I can do now I push to the absolute limits to achieve.

    Dude, seriously don’t make excuses for why your injuries suck. I’m a combat vet who was lucky enough to not get blown up outside of a vehicle and I feel like I have enough problems. I have enormous respect for all of my brothers and sisters who are pushing through these kinds of wounds.

    Saw a tweet showcasing the arm, and it's one of the coolest things I've ever fucking seen. Seen people build some cool prosthetics, and it's all as interesting as it is cool. You've gotta be proud of yourself for this one, if I'm assuming that you've done most of the work on the arm itself by yourself.

      @@Bluemortal001 That makes zero sense. At least from a greed stand point. If they want money, they'd be investing in this tech. Or do you mean it's greed since they're not just giving it away? If that's the case then you don't understand how unfeasible this would be. You'd be asking a lot of people to do a lot of work without any form of pay (including the workers who build them) while asking for other companies to send them the supplies without getting paid, for the utilities to to supply power without getting paid and so on. That's going to end up hurting faaaar more people then who will be helped by this.

    I hope for the sake of you and everyone like you who survived combat but not without sacrifice, that cybernetics become a real and highly invested in field, so you can get more of your life back and get back to doing the things you love doing, without having to risk further injury to the rest of your body. I’ve been army infantry for the past 4 years, but never saw and action, and I injured my hip just from being to skinny and too mobile, and repeated damage from rucking, and being too dumb and stubborn to go to the gym in my free time after work, because I just hated alaska. All this to say, it’s still absolutely nothing compared to what you’ve gone through, and you’re stronger than I have ever been. I wish you a bright future

    That is one of the coolest prosthetics I've ever seen! It really does look like something out of an action movie, but it also seems fairly practical. The claw hand is especially cool.

    I have a really bad neuropathy in my injured right forearm, there are days I wish I didn’t have my arm below the elbow cause of the pain. But I’m thankful all the time for still being able to have it cause I am naturally ambidextrous. I do smoke lots of weed and that helps greatly. Thank you for your service and I’m glad you continue to help the community.

    This is truly an inspirational video. You suffered as an amputee but have the heart,grit, and determination to continue to live your life as uninhibited as possible. Good for you Devil Dog. I find this truly inspirational man. If you can do this and show this level of determination, it makes me challenge myself and ask "What's my excuse?" I will remeber this the next time I try to psych myself out of attempting something. Thank you for that brother

      I absolutely can not train without bullpups bcuz ars weight pull my socket down so absolutely a necessity for me personally even over all polymer ars etc.

    Keep rocking it man! My shooting days are over but it’s good to see you younger guys getting training in. I looked around for training based around using my wheelchair and literally got laughed at. The guy said he had a nickname for guys like me-The Rolling Dead. If I wasn’t partially paralyzed, I would have kicked his ass. In my day, I could do it. But then came arthritis and Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis. But my life still has value and I will fight to preserve it. We all gonna die someday! No sense fearing what is inevitable. But I still get to feeling froggy and some arrogant prick doesn’t get to decide my life.

    good for you for not letting an injury get the best of you. I did notice though that your trigger finger is way too far across the trigger. Its supposed to just be the middle of the pad of the tip of your finger. Just a suggestion - it may help with accuracy, may not.

    Feels strange to have created a character which is an ex marine and got retired after losing an arm later on to be replaced with a prosthetic metal arm and then realize there's actually someone out there with the same backstory that could've been my inspiration

      This arm wasn’t built by a prosthetic team but the socket was by Ryan blanck the best arm guy I think in the world (ten years ago)

    Hey man I was looking at your arm there and I like the cosmetic mods! I just wanted to suggest maybe looking into making a robotic 3d printed prosthetic with a bit more functionality. With modern tech you can make one hell of a durable and functional arm. Kudos on the training and effort you continue to put in! Keep at it!
