Just had my transmission rebuilt. They broke the Catalytic Converter pipe in the process. It was like an eggshell where the pipe meets the cat after 24 years. I was able to cut the old one out but the trans crossmember needs to be removed to get the new Cat pipe in place to be clamped up and tied to the hangers. Unbolted the 8 bolts to the frame (4 each side) and the four nuts from the bottom of the trans to crossmember mount. Jacked the transmission up, but still can't get the crossmember out! Might you have any suggestions? Doing this on the ground, on my back, and it's getting cold! Thanks for any experience you can share.
