I don't know if anyone is going to agree with me, but I personally really love this kind of videos. They show us your thought process and how you manage to solve this unusual puzzles with all the cubing knowledge you have, without even looking for help (because you're the Skewb specialist obviously).
P.S: Could you try solving the Ghost cube in the future without any help?

I personally can't even solve a basic 3x3 (I never tried to learn tbh). But I love these types of videos where I get to watch someone experienced try and wrap their mind around the most brain hurting abomination. It's fun 😊

I love how, two years ago, I learned how to solve a 3x3 from JPerm's video, and from there I got not as much interested in speed solving but more interested in finding and figuring out weird puzzles on my own, and now that JPerm has gotten the weird puzzle bug I get to watch him try and solve stuff I solved a year ago and root for him to figure it out.

Im curious, so did u solve these the same way jperm did or were your solutions different than his?
@@devanshchopra2959 The method he eventually figured out for Polaris Cube was basically the same as the one I figured out. But for the Maple Leaf Skewb I had a different method (I did the inner edges first and then used 3-cycles to get the petals in place, instead of trying to build the entire diamond at the same time)

Hey Dylan, been a fan for about 2 years now. I started watching you when you reduced the 4x4 to a 2x2 and that video was only a couple days old; and just recently decided to create a yt channel. You inspired me to start cubing and now I have (about) a 23 second average.
I think a video on the ghost cube would be cool to see, but I love the content you’ve been putting out! Seeing you struggle on these puzzles makes me sure that you’re a person too and that gives me confidence that I could become a faster cuber too.

I've really been enjoying all these weird cube challenges, they're very fun to watch! This channel inspired me to buy my first new rubik's cube since 2009!
Random video idea: I'd love a video explaining the internals of the various cubes! (3x3s, skewbs, pyraminxes, 10x10s...) It would be a fun way for me to learn about the internals of weirder cubes I don't own, and potentially I could show my family who keep asking how the 3x3 works. :)

Great video! That was a lot of fun to watch!
One thing I noticed because of my experience with other edge-turning puzzles: the case at 14:24 can be solved intuitively because you can rotate skewb centers 90° relative to each other.
How I would do it is hide the 2 orange Leafs in the hole on the orange side, then re-insert them across from the edge piece (in other words, move them from the edge of the center closer to the bottom left of the screen to the edge of the center closer to the bottom right of the screen.
You could then use the "pocket" on the orange side to move each edge into place relative to the edge, then insert that completed set into the pocket to solve the centers! (If that explanation doesn't make sense, and you're curious about what I mean, just let me know and I'll find a way to send you some doodles that explain it better than I can with words)
If you're looking for a new puzzle to do a video on, I'd highly recommend the Curvy Copter!!! It applies some similar logic to this puzzle and I think it's a ton of fun to figure it out!
(I design puzzles and really want to talk about how combined mechs like this one skew the difficulty curve of a puzzle relative to experience in weird ways but I'm already rambling enough in this comment... Let me know if you want to hear my thoughts on that I guess?)
If you do a video on the curvy copter I'd highly recommend watching the first 1 minute and 25 seconds of RedKB's "Jumbling tutorial for Curvy Copter and Helicopter Cube" to see how to a specific move you need in order to fully scramble the puzzle (which isn't super obvious by just turning it normally.) Also, the puzzle can shapeshift, but that also bandages the puzzle so save that for the end of the scramble. You can ignore the video and avoid partial-turns for your first solve if you want to, though.
And again, this was a super cool video to watch! I'm a reasonably strong intuitive solver, but I'm not as good at making/finding algs, so it was really cool when you noticed that you did a 3-cycle! These videos are really making me want to pick up some weird new puzzles and try solving them! I haven't done that (with puzzles I didn't help design) in years!

Idk if you'll see this or not, but I wanna say thank you for all your' tutorials. I've made several playlists already from some of you beginner tutorials, tips, and cube setup content. They've been extremely helpful. My best time is currently 49 seconds using a combination of beginner method and f2l. Now I'm trying to train my recall and working on oll and pll. Keep up the good work bro, I know I greatly appreciate it.

When I first started cubing (about half a year ago), I watched your tutorial vids so much, and you have taught me basically all I know. That part when you discovered the 3-cycle was a such a Eureka moment i actually jumped. Again, a showcase of POWERFUL analytical skills
I am working on learning CFOP, I currently average 29 using beginner f2l, and 2 look OLL, how much do you think my times would improve with full CFOP
I also averaged around 30 second, and i just learned CFOP and im already sub 20 average!! It’s really gonna help alot
With practice, you can get down to sub 20, and potentially sub 15
I think you might go down to averaging around sub 15

I have the clover cube and if this cube is anything like it then there is a way you can scramble it even weirder where the pedals stick out. I'm not sure if it was intended to be made that way but when I was messing around with it I figured it out. Love the content tough, please make another video soon!

One of those circular prices can also easily swap the peddles so if there is a one where the peddle is wrong you can take the right peddle and swap it so it’s like go around the cube take the right triple pieces and one shot place it in the right area so for one side you need the correct color of a edge and a peddle the other peddle will remain wrong so the next one you do the same thing until you go to the last side edge and two peddles of that color and you put a one where all of them have the right colours
