+V.C. Venezia it's real FUN
+V.C. Venezia
He was on to someting.. He made it.. and now he´s just On Something ! .. Wild car !
"Its kinda fun isn't it?" love that dude
Yeah he keeps saying that LOL
Imagine making love to him and he keeps saying that
Why kinda?
I found him very annoying
Cool vehicle, but he creeps me out, lol.
The artistic design and build of this motor home looks perfect. Combo of 1930s art deco and Jules Verne steampunk. This guy is very creative!
I was thinking that it actually is to the first half of the C20th what Steam Punk is to the second half of the C19th! 😁
That is one fine piece of artwork! Would like to have one!
@Djinn Djinnie thanks mate, both for noticing and for the acknowledgment.
I think of the Yellow Submarine cover artwork.
He's full of life the bloke with the flower shirt on, I really feel he's happiness from him, plus great caravan x ❤️🚎🙏🏽
He’s having fun doing what he loves, good for him.
The secondary steering mechanism is simplistically brilliant! I LOVE IT!
Randy seems like the nicest guy you could ever meet. He's got such an "Aww, shucks" way about him.
Wow. I never realised actual real american people actually ever said 'aww, shucks'. I thought people only said that in disney cartoons. LOL
So annoying
Have met him- spent time with him at his home in Oregon. He's not quite as laid-back and home-spun in person. Nice enough guy though, and has some neat stuff in his shop!
The Mystery Machine, the Yellow Submarine, and the Jules Verne Nautilus on a Flash Gordon magic mushroom journey
dint forget grus car from despicable me
This guy is a pure genius, that gmc Motor home was and still is the best Motor home ever made! 😎
I bought one in 1976 for 30.000 $ sold it 2 years later same amount.
@@jeanninederoma2364 I sold one 5 years ago for the same amount
@@ihave35cents95 i didn't know at the time i could have sold it for 70k. Germans were looking to buy them at a premium.
@@jeanninederoma2364 Europeans still buy them at around 80 k.I still own a 77 Kingsley I use often to visit family.
@@jeanninederoma2364 @ihave35cents I just sold one for 90 million
it looks like the buses from spongebob
+Riley Goss Add a periscope, paint it red, hey presto, spongebob bus
Righttt
Headed for rockbottom
Riley Goss damn straight
literally exactly what I was thinking
Creative guy, remarkable craftsman as well.
Easy to be creative when you have unlimmited bank roll
It looks like Gru's car from Despicable Me
I love this guy’s enthusiasm! We should all take a lesson from him and live with passion.
As a technician I was really happy to hear him say "What's really important to me is I am always thinking of the guy working on it" From all of us techs, THANK YOU!!
This guy is freaking brilliant. Wish I could afford one of his creations.
"The vent was so wide it could catch a california condor!" This guy is greatness
This guy is phonomal. He had the vision and ability to put this together. No wonder he is so upbeat. Beautiful creation.
As an old guy, the first two things that flashed into my mind were Peter Max and Yellow Submarine. After watching this video again, it feels like my childhood - in a slightly alternate universe. Absolutely immaculate, cohesive attention to detail. Nothing jars you, nothing feels out of place - once you get comfortable with the whole alternate universe thing. Brilliant.
My first thought was "The Beatles" We all live in a yellow submarine!
+Jacqueline Grice Same here. :)
I thought Mystery Machine. Scooby and the gang will be well jealous 😄
🤧Worst movie for a sick kid to watch at 6 in 1996. 🤒🤢🤮
Now there's an idea!!!
This guy is so down to earth and I don't think he's aware of how ingenious he really is! I mean what an artist, the Picasso of aluminum!!!
I fell in love with this thing the first time I saw a picture of it! It's without a doubt, the coolest roach coach in the history of hot rodding!
The second coolest thing I’ve ever seen 👍, thank god there’s still people like him in the world
so... what's the first?
@@petrolmonkey1973 We will never know...we will never know...
@@petrolmonkey1973 An ice cube.
It's the 4th coolest thing for me
this guy makes some of the most badass cars i have ever seen
This is easily the single most unique and interesting car I have ever seen. CONGRATULATIONS! Excellent builder, excellent presenter... Amazing stuff...
Can't imagine being pulled over in this thing while driving from the top.
Can you roll your windows down for me, Sir?
Up here officer!
Well that's the most flamboyant death trap I've ever seen. 10/10 would die fabulously driving.
Look like something that came straight out of fallout
WTF!!! You are completely right
Barry, that 60 ish y/o guy from that auction show actually drove one of this... might be the same... donno.
That's the first thing I thought of when I saw this thing... Barry - yes.
almost , check "tales from the borderlands" game's vehicle ;)
More like Bioshock!
I love this, probally one of my favorites of Jay's vehicles. The designer is brilliant
I love this guy! Passion for what he's into... And talented af.!
"I'm always thinking about the guy working on my piece."
Be kinda hard not to, no? Eh.
🌚
I just snorted when he said that 😂
dchawk81 I didn't even think of it like that until you pointed it out lol!!
lmfao
This is the 3rd Randy project I've seen he's insane but I love his work can't stop smiling everytime
Im trying to reclaim my teenage years and get a 1967 chevy van....this thing was crazy fast had a new 250 in it with a 3 on the tree 0 to 85 this thing was crazy fast....ppl on front street respected that little van
every*time is two words.
@@darkpassenger01 this thing
Watching this vehicle drive down the road brought instant smiles, I love 30's Art Deco and this Motor Home fills that ticket fer sure.
You love 30's Art-Deco because it is the height of design and style. Nothing has improved on that era. We've gone downhill ever since.
OMG, this video is over 8 years old? And I am just watching it for the first time! I had a huge grin on my face watching Jay and Randy driving this on the streets of LA. What a fun, clever, fun, imaginative (did I say fun?) vehicle! Wonderful job, Randy! Thanks for showing this to us Jay!
Jay seemed to have such a deadpan expression when he was touring the motor home.
He seemed kind of creeped out by the guy who made it lol. He kept avoiding eye contact with him
he's a little too fun for Jay
I think Jay only likes to feature finished products on his show. He doesn't like to feature stuff that is still being built. I think the producers forced him to let this guy on.
Cause jay can build something even more amazingvcaise he has the millions and millions and millions of dollars he thinks its cool and stuff but the guy is creepy though he's that weird guy at the party that rubs your legsand says its fun right just ugh
That guy just to in ur face
The automotive world needs more of this! I often have had dreams I've been driving from the back seat and I finally found a car that does it!
"Nicely done"
Jay Leno - 1950-2050
Wut
Zoid Burg o..k
What’s with the sarcasm, be says the phrase every other sentence....
"SURF'S UP " ...ABSOLUTELY INGENIOUS ONE OF THE BEST RV MAKEOVERS I HAVE EVER SEEN.. AND I USED TO HAVE A GMC ROYALE ...WHO KNEW WHAT IT COULD OF BECOME!!!
this thing is fucking fantastic
Yeah it is
totally fantabulous
***** dont go under bridges or in tunnels
Robert Lucas lol
TomatheGreek fantabuloustic!
Great fun watching this. I hope that the shaft from upstairs is locked down tight when driving up there!
I saw this thing without the porthole windows back in 2011 in Grants Pass at a car rally....Blew me away....
I never get tired of seeing Jay's toys. I met the builder at a car show in Lake Havasu City with his Pissed Off Pete. What a cool guy.
I absolutely love Randy's automotive sculptures you can drive~ the Decoliner has always been my favorite and it was a blast to see Jay & Randy tooling down the road. What a trip- I smiled through the whole video!
Seeing Jay at the wheel of this thing just makes me smile. I love this guy and his show is the best thing on the internet.
I don't know what I'm sensing from Jay, either that he's mad that it's not done & it's on his show, or he's really jealous that he didn't think of this first.
Mason Gilbert nah that dude isn’t annoying. Hes a kind soul.
I love this guy! Passion for what he's into... And talented af.!
This gentleman makes the coolest vehicles that have appeared on Jays show. Randy is a true artist!
I actually saw jealousy on Jay Leno‘s face, he was literally forcing himself to act low-key about this epic build!
cliff long
Geez 🥺I saw and felt the VERY SAME THING.....❗️POWERFUL ‼️🤯💥
cliff long I don’t think Jay Leno has a jealous bone in his body. And why should he? He has everything a man could want and more. Maybe he was a little tired that day and you misread him.
I didn’t get that at all from Jay. In fact I think jay thought this thing was too goofy. It’s not something jay would want.
S Stills I agree with you! If anything, Jays comedic mind had probably whipped up a few good funny remarks about this “thing” and he had to hold back because he didn’t want to get laughs at the designers expense.
Jay liked the build, who wouldn’t, but was finding the guy annoying.
Guys like Randy will never be out of work with rich guys like Jay keeping them busy making cool rides like this!
Pat Capp y
no lock on the steering shaft? Hope you dont go over any speed bumps.
+weirdstuffanimation7 I wouldn't drive it, how about the shaft hanging behind their head too, if it came down it would knock you out.
+Boossers Garage yep dangerous but it is a beauty
+weirdstuffanimation7 he does haha, watch the video on it on Drive/ ;)
Looks to be a spring collar.
it's a locking coupler the same thing nascar cars have.
ok, this guy is so smiley and sweet and enthusiastic! Jay seems like he's having social issues or bowel distress
Bowel distress.... Hahaha.
Good one!
Well Being a New Englander myself like Jay, he is kind of reacting to the guy the same way I would...cool build
Well, he seems a bit overbearing
This is a work of a genius ( I think )
I think I'd want some retention clips on that steering gear, otherwise, pretty cool! :) Where I live, you'd hit one of our famous "Pennsylvania Potholes", the steering shaft would pop off, then the fun would begin... ;)
i think it actually clips in place but im not sure. your right thow if you hit a mean pothole and the shaft comes loose you better hope your breaks work very well.
haha nevermind the Pennsylvania potholes, now in NY we've got some good 3-5 inch deep ones around the city and suburbs.
// , You really think there is no safety pin or other mechanism to deal with that on a car from when our roads had so much less maintenance than now
I would love to drive route 66 in this.
This guy has a different type of enthusiasm he makes it seemed like you were there just as excited as he is
That is the best custom I have ever seen. What a great vehicle to bring to a car show.
One thing it's missing is...
a nice triple set of air horns!
& maybe a latch for the stairs in back?
Dual level steering, genius. Look up enthusiasm in the dictionary and there is a photo of that guy.
There was a Cadillac that was turned into a sportfisher car boat creation with a fly bridge steering station as well as conventional steering that used to cruise the San Fernando valley in Southern California back in the 1970's. I've seen it on the 405 many times. This guy thinks he is the one who came up with the idea but in reality he is about 45 years late . There has to be a picture of it out there somewhere. Everything old is new again.
This guy is the definition of genius.! So damn original cool and retro all in one !
That dude's a trip......brought a smile to my face.
This guy is a true artist and automotive genius.
" it's fun huh Jay?". This dude is halarious!
Definitition of Ingenuity and Badass !
By far the best vehicle featured on Jay's show!
That Randy is a freaking genius!!!
paint it yellow, put Ringo up on the flying bridge, and you're good to go!
I haven't seen the finished interior but I would keep the inside looking like a raw 1930's German Zeppelin airship. So cool. All the haters I'm sure Randy with his years of experience has safety in mind!
This is a beautiful piece of art! The blue color should be bronze or copper color to get that ultra steampunk look.
That is the most unique vehicle I’ve ever seen, very cool!
I can see the news headlines. Crazy car engineer Ned Flanders kills family as RV looses steering.
lol, ned flanders
Hah, not to mention hitting a pothole and having you head gashed open when the steering shaft falls down.
Joepopa12 I was thinking the same think.
loses*
No
Love this dude's passion for his project. "It's kinda fun isn't it?"
What I would give to be as happy and enthusiastic as this man.
He really knows how to explain the car he created and loves it his project. Very genius project
What a happy dude
That was a joy to watch!
I do have to admit I am impressed a bit more with this vehicle. Two ways to drive it. I love that. If this vehicle is legal, it's a good way to have the ultimate motorhome. A serious work of art.
This guy is an incredible fabricator. His eye for cool style is 100%. Great job.
Super cool way to spend, 12 minutes of my life thanks for posting.
This is absolutely crazy beautiful. Good job
As a former owner of a '67 split windscreen VW bus, this makes me smile deep down inside.
Will be in my dreams tonight...
I just saw the Deco Liner on my way home from work here in Harbor Springs Michigan. What a cool machine.
Wow, Randy is one talented dude!
I really love that interior drivers area beautifully done and for some weird reason I like the color too!
Brilliant sculpture!
this guy might be just, the most exited guy to show you everything their vehicle has going on that I've seen guest on the show.
That'd be a hell of a party bus!
Decoliner, now bought by Brazzers.
Hire this guy to design regular cars! This is probably the coolest car I have ever seen.
I got to meet with you briefly- many years back Jay. We rode Harleys on "The Toughest of The Tough" run. From Point Mugu to on through to the VA hospital.
I later left for 2 tours in Iraq- surviving a direct detonation IED while on convoy late in the second year.
Anyway- I just thought I would revisit that time in my head (marbles rearranged- Drs. call it TBI).
Anyway- hope all is good with you and yours and I will be by to pick up ANY vehicle you may grow tired of. Heheheheheh
Randy- You are a true artist with unmatched skill- simply magnificent!!
Take care,
Wulfy
All gave some...
Some gave all .
🇺🇸
I want to steal this from Jay Leno and living it for the rest of my life LOL.
What a likable guy !
How do you close up those steps to the flying bridge once you're up there?
I presume there is a drawstring?
Kids now don't even care about driving , my friend , you are one of a dying pool of talent and genius
I remember the episode of that auction show Storage Wars when Barry Weiss'The Collector' drove this.
LOOK!!! It's Sergeant Pepper's Yellow Streetmarine!
Right? I couldn't believe Jay never made any reference to Yellow Submarine, or even looking out for the "Blue Meanies".
Same spied author. #revealthetruth
Wowzers! pretty neato!
Wow, this guy is truly a smart, creative, no holes bared, genius. So much time, and planing, and work to build this masterpiece, well done my friend.
You gotta love this vehicle! I have massive respect for people like this who can have such incredible vision - and then have the ability to create it. Fantastic. Of course, the vehicle was built over 7 years ago. I wonder where it is today.
This guy has access to some seriously good grass. Sigh.
Yeah, his talent is nice. His enthusiasme is a little over the top. But more of those guys and it would be a better world.
+Guzzi venture you couldnt have put it better. but if his enthusiasm wasnt as great his motivation might not have been as plentiful
quicly little kid to the pedomobile
I wish I had an ounce of his weed.
He doesn't, he's not slow. People who've smoked weed for years always operate at a low "RPM".
Vehicles like this make me want to have lived in those times. Seems so joyous and unforgettable.
It's 1930's Art Deco design is wonderful! Tres Chic!
This is an amazing vehicle. I love the all the custom design elements. Well done.
Oh crap...that pothole just dislodged the steering shaft...hang on for the ride folks...
melodicdreamer72 its lockable
yeaz coz the guy designed and built this brilliant machine and forgot the safety pin....
it locks like an airline coupler. a bump won't uncouple it.
Jesus take it easy....
"It's kinda of fun, isn't it!"
Omg. Love this. So retro💕 what talent and skill. Sure do appreciate your sharing this Jay. Thank you. My late hubby had the old RV for sale that "needed some work" lol lol
This video put a smile on my face. Thank you.
