Kevin is 69 yrs old and looks great. A real Rock musician! They never wrote a bad song. This band i have seen 10 times in the 80s. The songs are heartfelt and they apply to almost anyone in love. Give this band the props for performing nearly 50 yrs. Im 63 and its like yesterday that I was rocking to a live concert
Best concert I ever went to was REO at Lake Compounce in Bristol, CT in 80s. I had front row and sang my heart out to every song. They were awesome live.
Somebody please tell me how to play the intro that goes up and down the fret with the picking, I cant find it anywhere but it sounds so incredible with the song.
He’s using an open D tuning. DADF#AD Regular chord shapes don’t work. Barry Gibb plays the same way on all his music. It’s mainly BARRE with just one finger for the majors and 004344 for the minors. You just have to sit down and play around with it to learn it.
Some people get older they changed, while some remain the same. And some changed from being beautiful to...oohhh well if you catch my drift lol!!! Hope all is well Dawn.:)
He was playing the song like that back in the 70s. Everyone has the right to their opinion and oil respect that, but I've never ever thought of K.C. being lame.
That's because his guitar is tuned to D tuning so when he plays all strings open..that is a D chord..the other chords are G..A..only 3 chords in the song but what makes it special is the melody and the way it's put together...and of course the performance..He also played it in D pitch..using E.B.A...shapes...Him and the Band are great Artists.

He took voice lessons.
No
His voice is the same but it sorta sounds different because he’s getting older, he’s been healthy since 1984
Thumb playing looks soooo LAME. It's like a reverse Dolly Parton playing style. That's coming from a huge KC fan.
Maybe he has arthritis, carpal tunnel, sprained finger. Fuck who knows..."lame."
