Two guys doing Brad
That's how great he was
Not a very good performance,BUT;The reason 2 guys are doing Brad Delp's parts is because MOST of his original vocals were DOUBLED!!There were 2"Brads"singing,simultaneously.But Brad WAS a great singer.
❤️🌹🍁💜💐🥀
Come on brad was great but he couldn’t do live what was done in the studio.
@@i5150v1
Who can ?
Brads voice is unmatched it’s still his voice
@@jimmoravec1326watch their live stuff from late 70s brad can’t pull off everything that’s dubbed on the album, but he does his best.
Have always loved Mike Sweets vocals.
Brad the best unto his own and Sweet the same.
Miss Brad. Mike is pushing 60 and is still amazing. Don’t know how he does it
The singer with long hair and a guitar in this live show is Stryper's frontman, Michael Sweet.
Yep. Decent singer, but he butchered this one .
@@crystalnelson7113 decent singer? You really are ignorant, you don't know who he is. listen stryper and you will understand😅😅😅😅
No shit.
Nothing but love for Boston, just a child when they were popular.
The lead singer of Steel Heart could rip it with best of them.
I remember two special times I heard this song. Once during a magic show when I was in second grade. The second time we had just smoked and I was waiting for my ride to drive me back home from college. Amazing song. Here it is over 30 years later and I still love it. I came to hear Michael on it. Sounds good. Nothing embarrassing here. Couple notes are a bit lower. But excellent pitch. Not an easy song! Great job. Plus doesn't he look great?
Agreed!!!! What about Tom!!!
nobody can match brad delp......
Too true Peep
But Michael Sweet is so talented that I could cry.
They have 2 guys and still can't.
The whole band sounds terrible. SMDH
3:00 minutes is all I could take. 🤮🤧😷
Brad Delp forever !
Man Oh Man I Seriously Don’t Know What I’d do Without You Tube ! It’s like they know exactly what songs and bands you like too hear ! My Favorite App !!! YOU TUBE 👍🏻
Exactly!
Michael Sweet holy moly. I just recently found out he played with the band for a whle. He sounds phenomenal!
Beautiful. Michael Sweet is SO talented. please listen to Stryper peep.
Someone told me a few years back that he was with Boston, but just recently found out it was in 2008 when I was told 90's. He is a very talented singer!!! I just saw Stryper a month ago and it was amazing!!! I am also a fan of Boston, but have only heard the albums when Brad Delp was the singer, did Michael ever sing with them when they recorded an album?
@@erinramsey9297 I listen to Stryper often! Just saw them a month ago!!! They really put on heck of a show.
@@erinramsey9297 been a Stryper fan since the 80's
If he is the long haired guy singing he is hot 🔥🥵
❤ One of the best songs ever, always performed with great love for the song, I was 18 when I heard it first time, a remedy when things do not go yr way...
5:09
What a great song then and now!
unreal!
Then, now....................................... and tomorrow
Imagine working at home Depot to touring with your favorite band lead singer..that guy hit the lottery
Irgendwie ist es als Gitarrist gut zu wissen, dass die Originalbuben die Studioversion genausowenig live rüberbringen können wie ich das mit dem Backingtrack tu... :) Es gibt doch noch Gerechtigkeit auf dieser Welt!
Michael's voice is amazing
Sure is!!! Amazing talent! I am a fan of Stryper, so seeing this video and hearing Michael singing this amazing song to begin with, it was different, but at the same time incredible! It would have been cool if in 2008 that Boston been in Cumberland, Maryland. Someone told my parents that Foghat, Boston and Journey were going to be at our fairgrounds and mom bought the tickets and turned out the only thing correct was Foghat, the other acts were Starship and REO Speedwagon which still was an awesome show. Anyway, if that would have been truth I would have said I got to see Michael Sweet sing with Boston and then years later with Stryper. 2008 was about 3 years before I knew who Stryper was.
always has been, Styper and his solo stuff are part of my teens.
I love this song❤❤❤❤
This was great! I came across this because a friend of mine shared More Than A Feeling cover by The Classic Rock Show and I saw on recommended Boston LIVE and I know i'll never get to see them perform and I've become a fan in recent years and hearing Michael Sweet singing this song is amazing!!! Such a great talent, very different than what I'm used to when I hear his voice I'm used to Stryper. Which is why this was a wonderful surprise that I clicked a video with Michael Sweet touring with Boston! Now, does anyone know if he just toured with them or did he ever sing on an album? The only Boston albums I'm familiar with are the ones that Brad Delp sang on.
Michael only toured with Boston. He is still with Stryper today.
@@drdodge827 I got ya! I wondered. I know he's still with Stryper and also solo. I saw Stryper back in September.
Saludos desde Él Salvador amigos a todos yeahhh!!...
Love you, Brad Delp. ❤️🌹🍁💜💐🥀
Michael Sweet is perfect! Boston ever
Com todo respeito à todos os vocalistas. Mas ninguém interpretará este hino como Brad!
Olha que o gordinho ali manda muito no vocal
Sin duda...
just not the same without Delp.
If I would see them live, I´d go totally nuts
Sweet SWEET!!!!!!
Muito show, espetacular
Digna versão... Michael Sweet conta no seu livro como surgiu esse convite...
Tommy got some pipes!!
That was strange.
2 singers,huh?
Stryper ☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻
Boston 🤘
It should be the Tom Schultz band no other members are their.
there is no Boston without Tom. I miss Brad but Tom created the Boston sound.
Damn right nobody can match Brad delp
Definitely not..
That song will never be the same. No vocals come close to Brad.
Boston is Brad Delp.
Ese cantante se parece a Bobby Kimball😅
Tommy DeCarlo has really grown as a singer since this performance. Literally came out of no where to carry on Brad’s legacy. The Gibson P-90s In Scholz’s Les Paul sound a bit strange on this song. Used to hearing that classic humbucker tone
When I first saw him I thought for a second that it was Jeff Beck. I love P-90's. My first really good Gibson was an original 1952 Les Paul goldtop with P-90's. Found it in a pawn shop for $400. It was literally in near unused new condition. Only weak part was the crappy banjo bridge that Gibson used on the 52/53 Les Pauls. Wish I still had that ax but I had to have humbuckers so it got traded off. I sure went thru a lot of early Gibsons back then.
There is a humbucker in the bridge position. The change in tone is more likely from all the Rockman gear behind him, which was not used on the first two albums.
Pretty sure that he used DiMarzio Super Distortion and an MXR 10 band EQ or a fixed wah pedal on the first two...at least that's what he said in interviews back in the day. Of course he also said that he modded the band's pedals as well...
The Rockman gear came out in 1982...I bought a Rockman upon release, Third Stage (1986) was all Rockman sound, the amazing guitar sound of the first two albums was never recorded again.
Maybe Stryper came closest to that sound thereafter, although they were more extreme with both EQ and also gain.
I didn't like my Rockman at all. Not even for home use. I stuck with the MXR 10 band and two Marshall 50 watt heads for gigging.
I was going for sounds more like Rhoads and Maiden then, but the rig that I had could sound very much like the first two Boston albums.
@@jfo3000 he still uses the rockman gear live and his guitar doesn’t sound like this anymore. In this video It sounds like p-90 tone to me. They have a totally different sound than a humbucker.
@@cb24203tom was using split coil during the main solo. he used split coil a lot during this tour for some reason
The girl bassist should have jumped in for the high harmonies!😒
How come that looks like Burton Cummings singing??
Brad Delp was unequaled and irreplaceable....PERIOD
Brad Delp was the voice. But I can only imagine an adequate replacement is Michael Sweet
This song needs more vocal effort than no-one ever!
What??
❤MICHAEL SWEET❤
There is Only One Brad Delp
One of my favorite bands but I cannot listen to them live.
I did it in Los Angeles CA 2018
@@jmanuellleon2294 I saw them in 1979.
I'm Marianne. From Danvers , Mass
Please Don't Insult Us. This Is Sad
Is that the home depot guy?
Who s is the girl on bass?
Pretty good but they are no Brad Delp!
Takes 5 guys to equal 1 Brad.
Both guys are good...but do not belong here. Both pussed out on Delp's parts!
Obviously you have no clue who was playing the guitar and was singing. Micheal Sweet is a great guitar and singer in his own right. And doesn't need to take a back seat to no one. Look him up. He has been in the music game for years. But I didn't expect you to know that. Have a good day.
@@douglaslawson6580 Hahahaha I know Michael personally. I stand by my words. Stryper kills this version of Boston. But Michael should have never been in this band. Not a fit.
Cause there too high. Not many singers can do those notes.
@@davidstewart4310 Michael can, and so can Tommy, but maybe not in mixed voice if that's what Brad used? Michael went for notes that high at times, just not in this song.
@Shea Tiller I don't think Brad used full voice, definitely sounds like some head or all head voice. I'd bet both of these guys could hit those notes with pure head or mixed. A good monitor mix or stuffed up ears might be necessary though, if you can't hear your voice it's a crap shoot.
how come this was reuploaded?
So I could hawk my memoir
Why wouldn't it be?
Poor. Original out of this world!
Wow. Tom’s sound on that Les Paul P90 guitar is way off, way too loud in the mix and he totally muffed the timing!
Yeah he is also out of time. And I think he is out of tune also
Agreed. Maybe he forgot how it should sound.
chi è quello coi baffi?
I believe that it is Bobby Kimbell from Toto fame.
El riff de esta canción robo nirvana de manera alevosa
Not what I remember
Sorry, I saw these guys back in the late 70's at Folsom Field in Boulder, not the same. I wish them the best but not the same without Brad.
One Brad Delp. Cant recreate him. Give up!
Brad
Eh…..no
Wow, I don’t recall something this bad ever! 😳😳😳
Sorry, but this is not the same style!
Have some Respect for Brad How would you like it. Go get your own music
Came here just to hear Michael Sweet singing some Boston, but in the end this is probably one of the worst versions I've heard. This honestly sounds like a karaoke concert on a street corner in Oregon.
😂☠️ you ain’t wrong
That lead singer needs replaceing
Sorry..but NO! Could not even listen...
👎
Cover band
@Vincent Junio
My mom has been dead 20 years .
What are you a child ? Bringing a persons parent into your argument? Grow up!
So just because you disagree with my opinion you felt the need to be a jerk.
There are many who feel Journey is not Journey because Steve Perry not in the band or Foreigner is cover band because Lou Gramm not in the band.
It was kinda ok for a while..then the singer replaced all the bad azz high notes with lame alternative notes.
I ended it right there.
Btw, there’s 8 billion people in the world, you couldn’t find a skinny frontman who doesn’t look like drunk Burton Cummings?
Out of tune
poor version.
Sweet is a great singer - but this? Hard pass.
they cannot sing this any more ... it is PAST time to stop
Can't ever touch Brad. Not even close.
I have always been a Boston fan, but this is terrible, and everyone is out of tune and to top it all off, a really bad mix.
Guitar sounds dreadful
Terrible
Truly awful
Damn that guitar work was horrible. Constantly out of tune and not on time...
RETIRE , Disgrace …. Bad cover band of themselves. Ridiculous.
Cover band??? This is Boston!!
Also this is 14 years ago,
Cover band? Don't tell me Brad is Boston, Scholz was, Brad is also Beatlejuice, and its pointless stop it
@Vincent Junio jajajaja your imagination Is fantastic !!!: Play with yourself.jjajajaj
Don't watch
Complete karaoke performance. Sweet is terrible fit for Boston's music. He's a good singer but can't hit the high notes. He wisely didn't even attempt Brad's iconic scream on " She slipped away".
Delp should be happy in the hell about this version (all people that commit suicide just deserve hell and michael knows that better than anyone)
Well that was a let down......
Except for Michael Sweet.
Gary has begun to look like Tom after too many years of playing with him and being vegan.
Is that Fran Cosmo or the guy from Home Depot? Boston singers are all very confusing.
Пора Тому заканчивать эту пародию на некогда Легендарную группу. Новый материал отстой полнейший
