- In this video, we'll show you how to sublimate with your Cricut and create beautiful designs on a variety of substrates. Sublimation is a process of printing designs onto a special type of paper and then transferring the design onto a substrate using heat. With your Cricut, you can easily create custom designs and transfer them onto t-shirts, mugs, and more!
We'll start by showing you how to design your artwork using Cricut design space print then cut.
Next, we'll walk you through the process of printing your design onto sublimation paper using a sublimation printer. We'll make sure to cover the correct settings for your printer and paper.
Then, we'll show you how to preheat your Cricut EasyPress or heat press to the recommended temperature for your substrate. We'll also cover how to preheat your substrate to remove any moisture.

Hi Crystal - I love your channel I believe you can still sublimate on the original easy press - before I bought a swing away heat press, I would sublimate coasters at 360 for 300 seconds and it worked beautifully. Not sure if you would get the same result on all substrates however. Thanks for all the great tips and ideas on your channel.

What does that mean?
I've sublimated with the original easy press without an issue. I typically just use 360F for 120 sec when I'm using a shirt.
The car coaster is really great! I like the black background. It does kind of look like a chalk board. I also like the purple background. It's my favorite color. The little dog is adorable! I am curious about something. If you wanted to put a design on the other side as well is there anything special you would need to do? Thank you!
I love all your tutorials so clear and not overwhelming. I want to try so many things but unfortunately my printer does not sublimate and doesn’t support sublimation paper so I guess I will have to get another printer that does.😂

What is the clam shell heat press 16x24 you used in the beginners guide to using a heat press? Is it still your preferred clam shell heat press
Love you videos. One concern I have as a beginner to this is when the sawgrass part comes in to play. I wish the other printers would be the “ norm” . I haven’t been able to create a successful finished project yet and I get frustrated trying to determine is it design space, sublimation paper, heat settings or what I’m doing wrong.

Been learning watching your videos - but I'm confused - I thought with Sublimation to print out I read that you needed to use sublimation ink and also the sublimation machine - so do I need that or using a regular printer and ink is ok when you work with sublimation designs??

Crystal Ann when I print and cut from Cricut I follow what you do but it doesn't take me to print manager. What do I have setup wrong? I end up just selecting my sawgrass and print.
Do you have any tips or a video showing how to make sure your room is well ventilated in order to sublimate?
I live in the south in Arkansas, and it gets very humid. My sub printer - SG 500 is in my kitchen. The printer is on a heat press stand underneath the press on its own shelf. I make sure the house is nice and cool and the ceiling fan is on. I haven’t had any issues yet and have printed and pressed when it’s 100+ degrees outside. This week our heat index is supposed to reach 114. I’m just gonna work away. 😁

Hi Crystal. Thank you so much love your channel. I have the Silhouette Cameo and an Easy Press Heat Press. Looks exactly like the Cricut. You don't seem to use much pressure. Mine requires super human pressure the htv to melt adequately into the fabric (otherwise you can pick at the edges) or for the colours to adhere sufficiently. Have you experienced this with the Cricut, like I said it doesn't look like you applying extreme pressure

Hi can you tell me what the big difference in the heat press 2 and 3 and great video?
There’s no difference I’ve been told, just that the 3rd gen press automatically connects to the circut easy press app via Bluetooth as it sends the ideal time and temperature settings .
Hi crystal. If we wanted to add text to that sublimation doggie or something else. Could you use just regular font in cricut design space and then print in on the sublimation printer and it be sublimated?? Or would you have to find sublimation font file?

Idk why all these tutorials go so fast. If you're trying to learn how to do something you need a little slower speaking, give time to actually hit the buttons you tell, im more frustrated after watching than before. And wth is a bleed line?
You ain't lying. I have to use the payback speed adjuster on each video. Especially while your trying not to burn yourself (or a cat) while watching these videos lol good luck. This is all overwhelming

I find it helpful to watch the video before I start my project. Or watch a bit, do it. Watch a bit, do it. I prefer faster videos. But everyone learns a bit different. Sadly in situations like this, you have to cater to the teacher instead of the other way around. 😢
It is a little fast as all are in this subscription Design Bundles mainly with the instructions but I stop the video a lot and also go back….it works alright for me.
