  • Watch the Stefen Hay Company work on harvesting wheat with their Cat Lexion 585R combine. Behind the combine they run two Case IH tractors on big square balers to bale the straw. They are also running a New Holland 8970 on a Bale Skoop to transport the bales. Keeping up with the combine is a Case IH QuadTrac pulling a Kinze 840 grain cart on tracks.

Thank you! Yes this was right behind the farm. The Ford is a great tractor and was fun to see moving bales!

Just a hint if you drive a bit faster with the baler you will be able to run more efficiently as you will be sending crop through with every plunger stroke.

    Thanks for your excellent videos.
    They need to go viral-!
Nice long straight rows would be an ideal place to dump into the trucks on the go instead of running back and forth with tractors and gain carts to trucks.
Less tractor operators and maybe none.
Less augering of grain means less fines in the grain.
A semi truck with 18 wheels or 22 wheels, (triple axled trailer) means less ground compaction on the ground than 10 wheels on a tractor and grain cart.
Unloading into trucks on the go while harvesting is done successfuly for some other crops.
With GPS guidance, the unload auger spout could be tracking the centerline of the truck while dumping the grain
and the truck could be auto steered in sync with the combine to maintain the required distance and speed from the combines header and unloading auger.
    Try it.

Very enjoyable video. CAT Lexion are one of my favorite combines but I'm also a big fan of Kinze grain carts. Especially the older styles. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻 😊.

Looking at the stubble left by the combine it looks like there is some green in the rows how doyou go with the moisture in the bales ?
