My January was all Fantasian and Cyberpunk 2077, while I wait for Daybreak 2. Daybreak was my game of 2024 and I know 2 might not land as high, but I can't wait to play it!
Phantom Brave was my first NIS/NISA game and is what started my love for their games. In January I finished up Romancing Saga 2 Remake and started playing Ender Magnolia.
The first half of January for me was largely taken up by Ori and the Blind Forest, a game with gorgeous art but some frustrating level design, so I ended up putting it down for now when the Remaster of Tales of Graces f came out, which has been an absolute joy. I did play it on PS3 back in 2012, but I didn't finish it then, and now I've been enjoying it even more than I did originally. I also managed to grab a copy of the Mario RPG on Switch at a great price, and it's been fun to revisit one of my favorite SNES RPGs in a new way, and alongside a replay of Pokemon Crystal have been my side games as I work on Graces as my main focus, and hopefully in February I can keep my focus and finish all three
Ok...that neptunia game kinda looks like silly fun. (makes note) I got started on In Stars and Time. Pretty good so far. Slow pace to start though, since it's dialogue heavy. I've got Atelier Yumia and Expedition 33 penciled in for March and April. I don't have anything new on my radar for February, so I'll keep chipping away at In Stars and Time (and played a bit more of the tactics game Jeanne D'arc) I made a list of 100 games in my backlog that I want to "try" this year (on top of playing new stuff) There's a few JRPGs on there. We'll see how I do. My 100% for Jan were a couple of Metroidvanias in January- (Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus, Ender Lilies) plus smaller games like the Touryst and Squirrel with a Gun.
Started off getting the platinum on Witch Spring R. Played through Ayesha, Oath in Felghana and the Daybreak 2 Demos. Unfortunately my preorder for Neptunia Riders never arrived and seems to have been lost in shipping somewhere so will have to put that off until later. February will be dedicated to Daybreak 2 which will probably keep me busy until Yumia.
started off really strong this month with Zelda Oracle of seasons, DKC returns HD, Ender Magnolia and Dynasty Warrior Origins. February wise i wanna get to phantom brave eventually but now playing kingdom come deliverance 2, and soon avowed, maybe down the line a second run of daybreak 2
I finished Sand Land in January. I haven't picked up a new JRPG which is rare for me but I am enjoying Dynasty Warriors Origins and Silent Hill 2. I will definitely try Freedom Wars at some point.
I am also really sad about Resleriana's Global version ending service... I did play a bit of the Japanese version, so I guess I will go back to that one and practice my JP with it
That's pretty much all we can do at this point. It's lucky you're studying as not everyone will have/want that option. I hope it helps you keep learning at least (that's what I'm hoping for haha 😅💖)
@@JRPGJungle Yes, that's true. I do want to learn JP and try to with whatever is available, altho life gets in the way sometimes. Resleriana, though? Hell, this will be one of my biggest motivators for learning/playing in JP. I love the game and its characters, and am grateful about 90% of the game is dubbed since listening is a whole lot easier than reading in JP ahaha
That's fantastic, one of my biggest jumps I saw in my Japanese was listening to another smartphone games' story events on the way to work and back because the Japanese version had more content. I hope this helps you in the same way :D
@@JRPGJungleso the Japanese versions of the games were useful in that way for you~ it's really nice to know that about you, especially since I love watching your videos - they are very comfy and nice to listen to. also, thank you! there is some wonderful JP-only content out there waiting to be discovered✨
I didn't get to play freedom wars 10 years ago I might try the remaster. For me january was all about the platinum trophy for fairy tail 2 and Ys Nordics. probably nordics will take me most of February to finish since I just started at the end of the month and i'm like 1/3 in
They need to stop making games so I can catch up 😂 I finish about 2 games per year at least when it comes to long games like JRPGs and I add roughly a couple of games to my collection every month which means my backlog just grows and grows. I got to the end but never finished Tales of Graces F on PS3. Should I force myself to finish it there or get the remaster to play with new graphics since I barely remember the story or just not play it at all.

I truly love your vids, and always look forward to hear your opinions and such on new titles 🎉
Can’t wait to play daybreak 2

Tales of Graces F Remastered has been my addiction for the last month!

Trails should last me the rest of the month.

This month I finished Trails of cold steel 4, now I have an existential void and I don't know what to play, (I don't have money to reverie) xD
You played Neptunia Riders too? I'm so sorry.

yes I know the pain. my backlog is reaching a few hundred games at this point
