You are so talented! I was just wondering, when you paint the bottom of the wand black, how do you make it look lighter? In the video it looks as if you are drying it.
They're taking what looks like a narrow dry brush with a very small amount of paint on it. If you dust this over the surface carefully it'll coat raised sections and leave the crevices dark. You can pull this off as well by reversing the process. Paint the lightest shade first and let it dry well. Then take your dark paint and mix it with some water. Apply it to the entire area you'd like to paint and rub away some with a damp paper towel or rag.
