Also don´t forget, the tracks are vey dynamic, temps matter a lot for engine and tyre performance, so you can´t really replicate times from other sessions.

This is everything. At the extreme end, track conditions can easily be 2-3 seconds between cool and hot.
Definitely bind a visor tear-off button. Absolutely required for any open cockpit car

There is only one advice.... HAVE FUN. We race to have fun and to be a part of a great community. You have not enjoyed F1 for a long time and it shows. This is MUCH more fun to watch and I really hope you make many more. You should also try out Raceroom. They have really nice FF and tire models. But again... just have fun and take us on the journey. Alot of us dont have iRacing and we can learn from you on your own journey. Have a great day and nice to see you happy again!!!

If you want to fly through the lower series, grind tracks with the highest turns per distance, sr is calculed from incidents per turn, so for instance suzuka gives more SR than monza for a clean race over the same amount of time.
Your content has gotten more and more entertaining! The racing vids are awesome no matter the game.

I started my iRacing Journey about 1 month ago, its completely different to F1 2022, it feels like proper racing and ppl are a lot more careful

Another MUST is Trading Paints, everyone uses it to run custom liveries, helmets, suits etc. Totally free and opens the look of everything right up. Honestly really good start to iracing, just checked out your results on iracing. Keep it up pal. F3, LMP2 and F1 just ramp up the intensity of IR-04 and F Vee so much
GO IN YOUR SETTINGS, GO TO CONTROLS, GO TO SECOND CLUTCH, MAKE A CONTOL!
Second clutch is huge for starting!

I love how for me and a lot of other drivers in iRacing have Formula Vee as our favorite Series at the moment. For both new and experienced drivers it’s so much fun.
This looks so refreshing. It looks good. Looks as if the feel is there in the wheel
Also, when it comes to 0x contact, if it's small it will be 0x BUT that basically starts a 4 second timer for them, so for whatever incident points they receive in the following 4 seconds of 0x you yourself will receive. So if you 0x somone and they run wide and get a 1x , you get it too, or if you 0x them and then they crash and get 4x within 4 seconds, you get the 4x too.
Brand new sub, never played iRacing but I love this content. Makes me so keen to get a PC and start my own journey. I have a Logitech G29TF and I love endurance racing mainly, I love that immersive experience with no HUD on screen, just me and the car. Great video man!
I finished Rookie recently, also with F Vee, and then I did a Formula Renault 2.0 Race yesterday, after that i was shaking. :D Such an immersive feeling and also very good connection to the car. It is so much fun. :)

To boost your safety rating, do all 8 mins of qualifying as iracing counts every corner taken from start of qualifying to when you pass the final flag

It is so good to see you actually enjoying racing again. iRacing really is great, once you get past there business model. As some one who has been with iRacing since day 1 it is nice to see how much it has evolved since. Laser scanned tracks really makes the experience, and it very immersive.
I think JD is more happier in IRacing then F1 22
Because I saw your first video of iRacing, I jumped into it too. Loving it every second. Sometimes its frustrating with people not giving space and getting x4 for their mistakes, but I still love it.

Gran Turismo has a safety rating but the penalty system implementation makes it hard to have clean races consistently. I think iRacing being more serious, more investment, higher barrier to entry, etc is very helpful

Probably won't be the most popular advice, but I'd reccommend using iRacing's own black box system for at least a few days before getting into racelabs. If for no other reason than that's where your pit stop options are.

I got this game a couple of days ago, It was only 10 USD the whole year and I've played a few races since I bought it and I absolutely love it, it's really nice to race with people that want to do the same.
I know it’s usually expensive for a subscription but this is why it’s priced the way it is. It’s for people that want to race and take it seriously. It’s a bummer that it costs a lot but it’s worth it for me to avoid casuals that won’t take it seriously

F4 has such amazing races!
A lot of the formula cars have very strong draft characteristics. The GT3 cars and V8 supercars have a little bit less but it's still very noticeable once you start getting towards the top end speed.
Felt tense myself watching that! Liking the iRacing videos so far. As someone whose been holding out on starting iRacing (sceptical about the pricing), your videos are making a good case for me giving it a go finally!

When you play iRacing, you either win or you die. There is no middle ground.
Love me that little Formula Vee! I raced those from rookies up until about IR ~2700, at which point I switched to GT3s because it's impossible to find high SoF races in Formula Vee.
Far better rookie car than the Mazda, IMO.

JD I recommend GT3 cars at tracks like Silverstone, Indianapolis, and Imola. I also think the F3 cars are fun to drive as well!
90% of my races on iracing were in the formula vee.. such a fun car to drive and the standards are very good in this series
vee is best iracing road car though majority of players doenst understand it. we need advanced vee series

Sorry 4th comment, IRFFB is another must have, it gives you more feedback than the base game especially on the rear end. I advise watching Dan Suzuki's video on YT explaining how to install it, takes 5 mins and is GAME CHANGER for FFB in iracing. I honestly can't race without it .

Porsche Cup when you get C license. Probably the most difficult and rewarding car to drive in iRacing. No ABS or TC.
The Porsche cup is very love it or hate it, but everyone should try it. In a similar vein, I'd recommend the LMP2, which I think is the other big candidate for most difficult and rewarding car in iRacing.

I’m interested to see how high of an irating you get quickly, as the ones who seem to get high i ratings fast are real life drivers or karting enthusiasts, or just the super talented sim racers, that’s when you’ll be on the level of the best.
I've been running the vee this season, been alot of fun. I'll probably run it next season too along side another. The racing is so close, especially in the higher sof races. Intense when there's a we swarm of vee's jostling about for position 😅👌
The Vee is my favorite car on iRacing by far. The racing is always so intense
Also the non-fixed mazdas are so much better to drive than the rookie mazdas. "Production Simlab" or "Advanced Mazdas" series are great. The cars are way less under-steery and its great racing. I cant do the rookie mazdas anymore after driving non-fixed mazdas
You should create a poll to find out who watches you for F1 content or because they like to see you racing and narrating the races.

I've had some of my closest races and finishes in the Formula Vee. I'm B class now and race a handful of cars but I go back to the vee every now and then

If you have f4 wich is formula ir-04 you will have some really nice races or with the dallara F3 absolute fun
most important think to know: Rookie series is an Idiot test.

A last suggestions would be vrs to compare data to other drivers and the pros! But you’ll know when you will need it when you’re racing in other categories!
