Buy the bell glass shades at thrift stores or garage sales instead of retail hardware stores. Thanks for these fun ideas!
Great idea!

If you see a discarded ceiling fan on the side of the road, they often have the bell shades. An added bonus, you can make dragon flies out of the blades!
Those little ghost lights are freaking adorable! Love them.
Great Ideas, I'm a 70yr old disabled Irish/Scot living in England who can still do bits and bobs especially in my beloved wee garden and I love Solar lights especially the cheap and cheerful lights like above, so thank you for all the new ideas. Looking forward to trying some of your hacks. Thank You.😎👏👏👏☘☘☘👏👏👏😎
Irish man living in the Chicago area 👋 hey bro
DTree should regularly sponsor you. These ideas are awesome ❤!
Yes ma'am. From your lips to Dt managment team we all agree
Congratulations on your new home
Maybe we'll get to see all the amazing special touches you'll be doing. How exciting I know it's going to be amazing prayers it will always filled with love.
Everything turned out SO cool!! It blows my mind that you can see random items at the dollar tree (or any where) and come up with all the cute thing you do. I wish my brain could do that!
Me too!!
Thank you so much!
❤️🤍❤️
You may be underestimating yourself, or downplaying the possibility of your abilities. I bet you can surprise yourself by coming up with some idea/ideas just by walking into a DT.
Look around, and as you're doing so and seeing all the things they have,, something will trigger an amazing idea(s)! I don't believe a person has to be a master at crafting or really any level of art etc. And I don't believe a person cannot use their imagination to imagine something and create it (unless it required an architect or electrician etc. to finish a complex project).
I do believe many people among those who always say they "cannot", they limit themselves. They don't give themselves enough credit. And until they TRY their hand at something, how will they ever know what they're capable of?! And it does (and can) take more than once to get something the way a person wants. Practice makes perfect. Even those who have done crafting and art for years (myself included) need practice at a lot of various things they imagine or wish to try. And not everyone who has crafted or creates art, etc. makes something on the first try. Some have blocks they find themselves in.
I guarantee you can use your own imagination. And in doing so, I guarantee you can create something, anything you put your mind and effort into. And once finished with the first! You'll never stop! All it takes is some inspiration and motivation. Maybe by thinking about something you would like to have in your own home. Something you could use or maybe need? Something similar to something you've seen another person has?
Go around and window shop! Look at various things in different stores. Whatever the store is and may carry. You'll see some things you really like and can only window shop for. So look at these things and imagine you have whatever it is you are looking at. Then think about how YOU YOURSELF CAN recreate that same thing! You'll definitely surprise yourself. And oftentimes, you'll imagine recreating something you see, yet include a way to make it different (it slightly) to fit your needs it liking.
Don't beat yourself up about it. And definitely don't give up if something doesn't seem to go right. Sometimes mess ups can be fixed, while at other times, the mess ups can actually work into whatever it is you are doing.
Also, a helpful tip. *One man's trash is another's treasure.* Believe you me, art is in everything, everywhere, all around Us.
I totally agree!! Thank goodness her mind does LOL
I have recommended having several solar lights that can be brought inside during power outages. This is probably the cheapest emergency lighting you can buy and is much cheaper than flashlights and batteries if only minimal lighting is needed.
I have some set aside that I haven't pulled the tab out of the battery and save them for emergency lighting 😊
Thank you Thats a great idea 💡 ❤
Me , my uncle & all of my cousins had trouble finding are boat dock once the sun went down , so we got solar lights & solar rope lights that change colors or you can manually change the color & set it for that specific color . We pick a color for that night & stick with it , we loaded the boat dock up with them & now it looks like a 70s disco club & now we know it’s are dock from a far distance like well over 3/4s a mile away , looks so cool .
My favorite was the ghost. How adorable!
PUTTING THEM IN THE GLASS BOWLS IS GENIOUS! Best one yet!
Every single one of them was BRILLIANT!
Last year I got 6 of the flicker solar lights. I live in a condo on the top floor and my deck has no light! So when I got the flicker lights I cable tied them to my railing and they looked great and I got sooo many compliments on them from all of my neighbors and everyone tried to get but they were sold out by the time they got to the store.
I am very happy that I found your channel! I've seen dollar store hacks before, but they all looked cheap and gaudy. Your designs are instead practical, decent looking, and there's even room to put my own, personal spin on some. Thank you!
All your ideas are fantastic!! My favorite was the colorful vases, towards the end, and you make step lights...those are beautiful colors! Thanks for sharing your creations!
That acrylic picture frame mounting idea is off the hook... Love that!!!
Really liked the 1st idea! One thing that you may have mentioned is the lights itself.
When the lights go out, & they will, here is the fix. 1st, take the housing apart. Remove the old batteries & replace them with new rechargeable batteries.
Next is get some 300+ grit wet/dry sandpaper & sand the photovolic lens. Wet a paper towel & clean off the lens then dry it. Then get some clear fingernail polish & "paint" the lens & let it dry. You will then have a better than new solar light. 😊😊😊
So many cute ideas! I really love the pumpkins and ghosts 👻.
The exact same solar lights are only $1 at the Dollar general. Love your ideas❤
First hack can also be done with old CD-DVD's instead of (buying) mirrors. Very cool hacks, subd.
What a great video! Love all the hacks, but my favorite was the solar lights on the Shepard hook in the garden. Thank you, so much fun to watch.❤
You are THE Queen of crafting!!
I'm so excited to see what amazing things you created today with the solar lights.
Thank you Alma!

I loved so many of them, but my favorite was the ghost! 👻 So cute!
One of my favorite things about your channel were your home decor tours. I understand you don't want to do them anymore but I wish your old home decor tours were not taken off the channel. I miss them!
Hi there! Hopefully I will be able to do more of those when I get a home this summer. It's been difficult decorating an apartment bc I moved three times in the past 2 years but I would love to get back to doing some of that on my channel. I really enjoyed them too!
Loved these hacks, especially the pumpkin, ghost and Christmas ornaments.
I love the Christmas ornaments. I'm definitely trying this for the holidays

Bravo SJ! Fantastic!
I love solar stuff! I bought a rope light from Harbor freight for $7 and now I have about 20 of them. This video definitely gave me some ideas to use them on.

You should call your show CLASSY CHIC ON THE CHEAP! There are lots of DIY/Walmart/Hobby Lobby crafting programs on RUclips. Yours are in a CLASS by themselves! Excellent ideas. Great quality.❤ You rock!
These ideas are all amazing,I LOVED LOVED LOVED them all.
I love your work. My mom and I watch and do these for fun.
The Christmas ornament is so pretty.
Genius!! What I like the most is that you showed what they look like lit up!
This was my 1st solar light video I will be back! 😊
The mirror idea is awesome. During a heavy snow storm in the N. E. a few yrs ago, I was stuck in my mothers mobile home (she was hospitalized) but lit candles and placed them on shelves attached to wall mounted mirrors. The lighting was FABULOUS. This was done on either side of the main living/dining area and it worked extremely well.
MIRRORS REALLY BOOST THE LIGHTING.
OUTSTANDING! I’m a Halloween girl myself so I LOVED the ghost and pumpkins. But I also thought the colored vases were awesome. Definitely going to make some of these.
Thanks Sara Jane for sharing all these very creative ways to use solar lights.
Amazing Solar Lights Video Girl!

I love all your solar light ideas. I have some of my stairs and along the walkway I'm going to Interchange them to some of your ideas. Congratulations on your new house that God blesses you with
I just remember that I have very light blue color mason jars. This would be a good idea for my mason jars.
Watch at the end of season for solar stake light sales. In January I purchased a dozen solar lights with the multicolored LEDs and a 6” clear bubble plastic stake. Removing the bottom inverted stake I slipped the lights over the fiberglass driveway marker poles. At sundown for a couple hours the stakes are illuminated with lights allowing people and animals to see the stakes and the former to be aware of the pathways.
Thanks for sharing this insightful collection of tips and tricks. Cheers
These are all so awesome looking! I grabbed some turquoise jars last summer and they made amazing patio lights.
LOVE IT! Thank you!! I will be busy this weekend! Really love the rainbow lights!!
All your ideas using the solar light were excellent and easy to create. Each project was a high-end idea. 👍👍👍👍
You are so creative!!! They are all adorable projects
I love doing this type of stuff with my kids
Such great ideas. Thank you so much for sharing! I live in the country and struggle to keep reflectors or lights near my driveway without them being uprooted by the county mowers. Putting these lights on tall stakes, will ensure they are visible on the road at night, and don’t get wiped out by mowers!
I haven’t been this excited about a craft video in forever! There are so many neat ideas I have to try.
Love the bowls ornaments because you came giant tree ornaments cheap if you use your creative ideas for
outside Christmas tree etc...
My favorite is using the utility holder!!! I want to cut it in half to put on the fence line in our backyard. Also want to put so.e o. The side of the garage. All of these ideas were awesome. Thank you for sharing all of these.
I love the idea using the colorful plastic vases! Id do that!
Wow so many great ideas! I love the little hanging lanterns (and pumpkins!) Solar is tricky up here in Washington but they do well in the summer, in winter they run out of steam pretty quickly
Awesome, just awesome!
Thank you!!!
These are all super doable! I am liking most of them.
Some of those would look beautiful on patio tables.
I finally found something from your Dollar Tree videos that our store has. Those textured glass jars with the brass lid.
I mean. Wow. .so.impressed
And I was pleasantly surprised with the solar light 👻. That's soool precious
Love the hanging solar light idea, it does look high end!
I love solar lights! All of these ideas are amazing! Thank you so much for sharing them! I would have to say the ornaments are my favorite! So cute!!
Thank you for sharing. Love everything you done ❤❤❤❤
