I think it’s the weird green colored cartons that just stick out like a sore thumb! Some cartons are neutral colored but the styrofoam ones aren’t great for the environment either.
I like either cardboard or clear plastic containers best.

I got one for my mom once. We keep the uncooked eggs in the carton, hard-boiled in the plastic container (labeled as hard-boiled to avoid confusion for occasional guests)

@Jocelyn Kneifer I went to a Dollar Tree in one of the most lowest-income areas of Texas (it actually shows up as top poorest in the country) & the store was just like the one shown in the video. I think it was in the nice side of town because there was also an HEB Plus which is supposedly the fancy version of that store too 🤷♀️

Just a loving hint....look into Spavato treatment. My husband suffered for many years until the Dr. recommended this and now he's 95% better. Hope it's a helpful hint . Best wishes.

Team Charlie on the egg containers - they’re already in a carton, for me, its a waste of time. But I saw someone mention using them for hard boiled eggs, which is brilliant. That I could get behind.
Me too! That would be another item to manage.
The egg cartons are good for people like me who have chickens and need something to put fresh eggs in. 😁
I just use an empty carton and write HARD on the end.
I like the plastic egg containers. One glance and I 'll know how many I have.
@doitonadime- I never thought that I'd like the egg containers because of what Charlie said BUT now I understand them. Tested and true. The containers make it more durable and easier to stack up. Plus, if you get different colored eggs, like brown and eggs and white, you can easily tell the difference between the two types.
I *LOVE* the egg holders! 🤩 I have 2 and labeled them "raw" and "hard boiled." We go through lots of eggs so it's nice to hard boil a dozen or so at a time!

I don't really think you'd have to wash it unless an egg broke in it...other than maybe when you do a deep clean on your fridge, like washing the shelves and drawers.

We have a clear container that holds 18 eggs. Easy to see when it's low. Much sturdier than the cartons.
Also, they're sturdier than styrofoam or cardboard cartons! They can get a little bumped and nothing gets crushed. (Mom of 5, here.)
I never thought about being able to stack it. We keep our eggs on the shelf right below the cheese drawer, so there isn't any space above them, anyway.

I work at DT and It's a tough and tiresome job just to keep clean and organized. And your videos get me super pumped to go into work and slay all day. 💪 However, when u pointed out that it was 'messy' it def triggered me. So, I need to point out that half the reason stores are so "messy" is because some ppl do NOT put things back. I find things EVERYWHERE, especially where they're not supposed to be. This job would be 50% easier if ppl would just give the items they dont want to an associate.
Absolutely love your videos and find them very helpful in ways most ppl wouldnt.
Or people let their children run wild through the store. So annoying! It's not a playground!

Someone out here had a great idea about using one for hard boiled and one for regular eggs I mean how awesome is that! Not to mention the plastic keeps the eggs safe in the fridge just in case there was a mishap lol

Team Charlie on this one except, we raise chickens, so I will be on the lookout for them. Protip: if you get farm eggs, ask if they have been washed. Washing removes the protective coating so they have to be refrigerated. If they aren't washed, you can leave them on the counter for over a month.

amazing! When you do wash them, do you use just plain water, then dry before refrigerating?
I always thought it was because of some special way they’re washed- so just normal soap and water is enough to make it so they aren’t shelf stable? Interesting!
@@darxhart1646 I have always just used water and a soft veggie brush or scrubber if necessary. Wait to wash until just before use or refrigerate after washing. You can leave dirty eggs out for a month with no issues.

The egg tray is awesome for people that buy the big box with 60 eggs at once! Those are too big to fit in the fridge, so the trays come in soooo handy!!

100% agree with Charlie on the egg bins. I mean, you are even using more space. I like a rectangular clear bin and can fit 2 cartons and save space.

Came here to say this! I like to have hard boiled ready for the week, and if you celebrate Easter and need to drive somewhere these are way more sturdy than the carton the come in!

6:18 Those egg containers make it so simple to store those 5-dozen packs of eggs! I like to open the large packs and divvy up the eggs into the DT egg containers.

I'm actually both on the egg containers! I put my boiled eggs in the DT container and leave the raw ones in the store container. I make boiled eggs for a quick breakfast a head of time. Fun ideas thanks

In my area we're trying to keep squirrels away, not attract them! They dig in gardens and pots and topple things, climb around on the roofs, etc. Someone in the neighborhood has been putting out walnuts for them so they go all around burying them.
If you feed them, they won't be as much of a nuisance.

Team Katherine on the egg organizers. I'm very visual so they are like eye candy in the fridge. From time to time I just rinse mine with really hot water. Not terribly inconvenient. Also....stain #2 on the coffee ladder. You, too, are enough Katherine & Charlie! Thanks for bringing joy to our day!

I use one for hard boiled eggs and with them being see through it helps to let you know when your running low. I was making a cake and didn't realize there was only 1 egg left in the carton. Thanks for another great video!

Also, I write the date on the lid with a dry erase marker so I can make sure they don’t go bad on me!

I’ve been tearing off the top halves of egg cartons (or cutting them off w/ scissors if needed) for several years now. That way the exact amount of eggs is always visible! I have learned over the years that things in the fridge work best for me if they’re transparent or at least as open as they can be- I’ve had to fairly recently stop leaving oranges & apples in the bags they come in, also. But yes I probably wouldn’t buy an egg container, as I hate washing dishes/containers, & do not have a dishwasher! 🤪
If you take off the lid, you take off best by date. And we use one container (the last one we bought) for hard boiled)

We have our own hens, so I LOVE the plastic egg holders when I refrigerate them after hard-boiling. Prevents a mixup between the cooked and raw eggs (the raw ones we leave on the counter). We also are huge Office fans, I bought my daughter the stickers a month or so ago.

Team Charlie 🥚 An egg container came with my fridge , so I use that for boiled eggs. Raw eggs stay on my worktop, because they don't need to be refrigerated in the UK, and the carton has the BBE date. I try not to purchase more plastic items 🙂
I love the wreath. I bought the squirrel feeder. I put it right out side my screen in porch where the cat sits so he can watch the critters.Tfs.The sand castles make a great gift bag.

I have to go with Charlie on this egg carton thing. One more reason I prefer the cartons they come in is because they also have the expiration date on them, too. For someone (me) that doesn't use eggs too quickly, or many other items, too, the expiration date on food items is very helpful.

RE: Plastic covered egg carton ... I agree with both of you. I'd love to have the Dollar Tree version for my hard-boiled eggs, but would keep my raw eggs is the carton they come in. Sadly we have no Dollar Tree in our town and the nearest is 1 1/2 hours away :( Love your videos!
I got the wreath with the blue flowers and starfish and hot glued little red flowers on it. Now it looks patriotic all the time and the starfish keeps it in my nautical theme.
I also got the ice tray with the lid. I have a pitcher of tea in my fridge at all times. Each time I make a new pitcher, I fill up the ice tray with tea to use when I drink it. That way my tea doesn't get diluted when the tea cubes melt.
I love crafting and Crafters Square keeps me supplied with so many things. And now they have new things in the Plus section that I've bought to craft with. I'm currently using the larger wooden hanging piece that has 3 slats in it and painting it to look like a flag. 🇺🇲 I had done this with the smaller pieces and was so glad to see the larger ones. I've found so many things to craft with at DT and I can stay on a budget while crafting!
I'm still waiting to get some of the items you showed, sometimes it takes a while for my store to get new things. That's why I love all of you who show us what's coming to our stores!
I plead the 5th on the egg holder. 😘 Sure it would be nice to see how many eggs are left and the container won't get crushed like the original carton but I don't think they'd be a good fit in my fridge because of their design.

Team Kathryn! I put my boiled eggs into containers like that when I do my weekly prep. My son and daughter-in-law LOVE The Office. They can recite every episode and have it on often when I come to visit. I think they are trying to convert me!
Team Charlie works best for our household on the eggs. Now if the egg divider is removable, I'm sure I could find all kinds of other uses for it! :)
